Who is a parasite?... and who exactly are you?... Everyone suffers and laments the epileptic power supply in the country, some misguided people blow up pipelines to further cripple power supply and here we have some supposedly normal humans actually celebrating this?... how low can humans possibly descend to?.... FYI, no matter how hard some of you misguided brainwashed jonathanian-cum-secessionists pray and wish for things to go bad in Nigeria (because you foolishly think you are punishing buhari), Nigeria will forever stand and and even get better. I'm from the creeks myself. The riverine area of Ondo state, but I want to ask you if Buhari is the cause of their hardship and if he is, why is not being targeted that all Nigerians will have to be punished for it, with darkness. There are oil installations in places like Akwa-Ibom. Why are those not always showing "our oyel". Why always these Ijaw guys?
This issue should not be misconstrued as personal vendetta against Buhari. This is a wakeup call for the government of the day to right the injustices of yesterday. Military occupation and amnesty has failed to tackle this same issue and it would be foolhardy of buhari to try the same thing and expect a different output.

Do you even care to know that most communities in the creeks has no access to drinkable water, electricity and means of livelihood?

Check your history to understand why the ogoni and ijaw are poster child of the struggle.

When the freaking o'l man revoked a pipeline security contract with those guys on his first week in office without properly thinking through the policy, did he not think those boys will see it as act of aggression against them. Why engage in a process that he Buhari does not have a full grasp of? It is now very obvious that our security personel lacks the capacity of safeguarding those pipelines and it was a big failure of leadership capacity for Buhari to stop a seemingly working arrangement without a better alternative.
Moreover, you always feel restless & agitated whenever the people of the Southeast express their own opinion on national issues but was never so when Buhari's army opened & 16 unarmed protesters in Aba & Onitsha.

Sheer hypocrisy.
Kindly shut up and dont tell me that rubbish; what do you mean by SE expresing it's opinion?.... is celebrating destruction an opinion?... Firstly, I'm sure you can read, so go back and check my post, I wasnt talking about the general people of the SE and I will never do that, I was talking about a particular group of people who are celebrating the darkness that the nation has been thrown into. Stop trying to equate the SE with these reprobates who celebrate evil, that's an insult to the SE.

Whether Buhari made a wrong move or not on the issue of security in the creeks, is that the reason why someone should be happy over this?.... dont try to make this look like an insult to any tribe to attract sympathy, I would never insult any tribe, I was only questioning the strange mentalities of a group of people.

All the piecemeal revenues are in the pockets of the social-economic elites. The ordinary indigenous people of the creeks are left with only deaths as a result of oil exploitation.

If there is peace and orderliness, wveryone enjos it irrespective of tribe or region. Shutting 4 powerful thermal plants down means the load demand will be heavy on the other functional plants and this would force the functional plants to also be shutdown too; in summary, total darkness. Given that buhari may not have handled this matter properly, but I do not understand how someone who would also suffer this darkness would be rejoicing over this development because they feel it punishes buhari. undecided

my question is,... What has been happening to the 13% Niger Delta states received monthly? The same people who loot dem dry is the same people they praise sing. Imagine this fools seeing the late Alameseigha as a good man who was killed by the pressure of the FG. Come on, The billions spent on amnesty what do you have to say about dat. Rather than engaging the govt in a rational discus they blowup pipelines and further pollute the already polluted environment. I can tell you categorically that this Avengers were among those who benefitted from the amnesty bonanza. The very mistake we made was by dialoguing with criminals, criminals should be treated as such and nothing more. Go through the FG revenue sharing formula and see d amount these Niger Delta states get as against other states, yet they want more. I wish I'm the president, I will crush them to pieces.
You and I knows the monies ends up in the pockets of same elites. There are three strata. The ordinary people of the creeks, the militants and the social-economic elites.

If the social-economic elites are given 13% derivation to loot and the militants are given amnesty packages without the ordinary people whose lives are ruined as a result of oil exploration it will only take few years before the ordinary people graduate to militants and the cycle continues.

You can't win this war with the militants without the economy grinding to a halt.

Anywhere this nonsense is vomited it must be refuted. Nigeria started with Regionalism..

Ironsi Stopped it
At the last National conference the SW was firmly for resource control the SS and SE sold out

It was embarrassing to watch that brave woman Aniko Briggs take on the North single handedly as her brothers abandoned her to her fate

This is not about resource control. An Ijaw man was in power supported by the SE for 5 years what did he do? He empowered militants like Tompolo while Dieziani looted the country blind. HE had the highest oil revenue in history .What did he do with it?.He failed to clean up Ogoniland. he failed to develop even his own Otuoke.
So stop deceiving yourself that this has anything to do with resource control.

What does it mean to toast and dazzle? The implementation of the Ogoni cleanup, the Lagos-Calabar railway plan budgeted for, the road started from Cross Rivers last year, the 2nd Nigeria bridge all in less than a year. Despite the outright and violent rejection of APC in all the elections held same period. Who made life not to be ideal for human habitation? Have you bothered to query your governors? Does Oando not pay for whatever it uses? ****
The Nigerian government in collaboration with the oil companies rendered the creeks a wasteland.

I've just gone through comments on this issue here on NL and on facebook, the ridiculous part of this development is that it's actually ipob igbos mainly who are rejoicing over these reports of economic sabotage, not even the niger deltans... Ipob igbos are now even screaming 'our oil' more than the niger deltans themselves. Wonderful!.... Anything to bring down the zoo is a welcome development to some of these people. Now as the nation falls into darkness and despair, I'm yet to unseratamd how the blackout will affect the buhari whom they hate.

I love this. Seriously, the Niger Deltans are going through hell. I can imagine the frustration in their hearts. I keep wondering why these people are spoiling their own. It's for their own good. At the end, their lives will be wasted just like that. We will all suffer the blackout and scarcity including those insulting Buhari up and down.

The 16bn monthly the person you quoting mentioned that they have been getting and refused to do anything to this creek people, you have intentionally ignored to talk about. These pipeline they keep blowing up, will it not pollute this same creek further?

I am from Delta state myself and i am with Tompolo on this one. No to violence and destruction of national assets.

This agitation by NDA is entirely motivated and supported by hate and tribalism.
This is nothing about hate or tribalism but a clarion call for justice to be done.

The money ends up in the pockets of the socio-political and economic elites. Nothing gets to the indigenous people of the creeks.

Celebrating power outages across the nation cannot be the opinion of the SE. Nobody glorified pipeline bombings, read my posts, it was a fall out of Buhari's poorly thought out policy.
Moreover, Southeasterners are entitled to their opinion just as Buhari's govt and other regions are entitled to theirs. The 'makakwu' who was calling out ipob yoots as antagonist of this regime has failed to acknowledge the fact that Buhari's critics now cuts across the whole regions & that waz bigotry.
