NIGERIA, THIS SHALL ALSO PASS. The blowing up of Oil Pipelines by a militant group the Niger Delta Avengers shows that they are unaware of present realities, that NIGERIA is fast diversifying her economy from Oil to the non-Oil Sector. That the region loses more each time an Oil Pipeline is blown up, as the resultant pollution causes great harm to both human and aquatic life. To those who disagree, need I tell you that Oil has been struck in commercial quantity in Lagos and in the Chad basin. Need I also tell you that a threat backed with violence is terrorism. I do not think that destroying and polluting our territory is credible protest. The emergent militant group must know that this action portends great economic harm to Country, however the greater harm is to your space. As you invite the kind of reaction Govt has dealt on Boko Haram, who will you blame? Why are you threatening the first Government that is committed to cleaning up the Niger Delta space starting from Ogoniland on the 2nd of June. Why? Need I remind you that NIGERIA is a super cord of three, Nigeria is unbreakable. No nation that is a cord of three in both remote and modern historicity has ever broken up. The US, Australia, South Africa, Brazil et al are exemplary cords of three that outlived serious internecine conflicts. Our nation is a super cord of three threes. 3Major tribes, 3Major religious tendencies, and 3geographical parts woven by the confluence of the Benue and the Niger River. According to the Bible 'The cord of two is not easily broken, the cord of three who can break?'. Someone must teach our doomsday protagonists and the boys in the Creek some History, and some spiritual truth. Let them ask Adaka Boro, Saro-Wiwa, Ojukwu, Gideon Orkah, Nnamdi Kanu et al a few questions. NIGERIA is God's handiwork for a great Africa, God's redemption for the Black Race, and God's beacon of LOVE for the universe. This period shall also pass. babyfaceafrica: According to Edwin Clark they squandered over 7.3 trillion Naira in just 13yrs as at the time of the report in 2012; you can therefore imagine how much more they must have squandered since then. http://nigeriavillagesquare.com/forum/main-square/74522-niger-delta-govs-blew-n7-3tr-13-years-clark.html Another reason; just click onto this NL link to a BBC story exposing how they criminally pollute their region to deliberate pipeline vandalism repair repair contracts - evidently ome of their is self inflicted. https://www.nairaland.com/1532921/blow-up-pipelines-repair-contracts |
