But Abeg Oga Justwise, na God I take beg you, don't by force give Slimmy a break from this thread oo, Dickoflife too.. Two of them are important to us and we like them like that. Hi everyone! Please I need some info on visa interview. I would like to know if I'll need to take along an account statement to the embassy. Background : I'm going for a PhD with teaching assistantship that covers my tuition and all.. Plus a good stipend. Again, I'm required to resume 2 weeks before resumption date for a workshop. |

nanotechy: Yes you need to show you can cope with tuition in case you lose your assistantship. |

LostCity: How long has he been outside U.S? Does he have social security number and US address (maybe from relatives)? Well, USC can be outside forever and still be US citizen. He needs to go to the US embassy to apply for the renewal of his US passport (in case his passport had expired) and social security number (if he has none). He needs to apply to the schools as a citizen, so that he doesn't have to submit documents required from international students. Mind you, he may have to evaluate his credentials since he studied in a foreign country. In the application he needs his evidence of citizenship and SSN. Once his admission is secured and his passport is good. He should be good coming home to study. For more clarifications, try cc the visa officer on nairaland. Best! |

LostCity: Nothing to worry about. Anyone including international student can apply as a transfer student. And if transfer is hard for him, he should apply as a freshman..... He's only in 2nd year. Still they will want him to evaluate his foreign credentials. |
