Can some one educate me with the difference btw Forgiving a criminal/terrorist, aiding him to live a normal life nd Amnesty

This govt is truly confused, amnesty is not just paying salary to terrorist.

What exactly is the difference between 'amnesty' and 'rehabilitating and re-integrating' of these terrorists into the society. someone is trying to play with semantics,Mr Buhari has always nurtured this idea of Amnesty for boko haram members. Dont forget when he accused GEJ of killing boko haram members,whom he described as their brothers in the north while offering amnesty to Niger-Delta militants.
Mr Buhari has shown as the days passes by that,he is incompetent,ill-qualified,lacks mental capacity and the political will to truly govern a 21st century Nigeria. My fear is that the contraption called Nigeria will break earlier than ever expected,because Mr Buhari is making all the wrong moves.

'Operation Safe Corridor' my foot.

So you guys (Defence Headquarters) are going to rehabilitate and integrate a terrorist, (a person more dangerous than a common criminal) you will feed, clothe and put him/her back in the society, what about all the crime and killings the terrorist have done before, no punishment for that? so anyone can cause terror in the society and repent afterwards you leave set him free.

Are this terrorist kids, that they dont acknowledge right from wrong, they dont know that taking human's life is a great crime to God and human?.

What kind of country is this?

Those Boko Haram freed are those then sent to S/E and S/S to kill and reduce other tribes for the coming census and 2019 election so they will win again. PMB agenda is to reduce other tribes with his fulani men.

Some BH was sentence to 25 yrs imprisonment yesterday, which is still not enough.

I think amnesty should rather be given if they plan to do anything, rehabilitation means they have just committed moral crime with little or no penalty, so why rehabilitation when ND militants were given amnesty with their act treated as a criminal act. Are these ediots actions not criminal abi they want to equate this people to majek fashek class. someone is seriously dumb here.

The Defence Headquarters had condemned online reports that 800 Boko Haram members had been granted amnesty.

It said the story was false and called on the public to disregard it, stressing that it would not tolerate acts of terrorism or criminality by any group

According to the DHQ, the decision to rehabilitate repentant members of Boko Haram is based on a United Nations convention and could not be considered as amnesty.

A statement by the Acting Director, Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Rabe Abubakar, in response to the report, read, “The attention of Defence Headquarters has been drawn to online Media stating that 800 Boko Haram Terrorists were given Amnesty. The story is false and has no iota of truth in it as DHQ has never mentioned Amnesty in all its statement.

“In line with United Nations convention Charter, which Nigeria is a signatory, The Defence Headquarters came up with an initiative “Öperation Safe Corridor”, this initiative is geared towards rehabilitating and reintegrating the repentant terrorists back into normal life in the society.

“Therefore, the general public should disregard these insinuations as the initiative “Operation Safe Corridor” should not be taken as Amnesty.”

“We hereby emphasise and stand our position that no act of Terrorism or Criminality will be condoned in our nation by any group. Please be guided.”

Amnesty is usually granted by the government.
