Hi peeps,am new on here but not new to traveling cause I've been to the states,Australia for visiting and I just recently concluded a six months business course in Germany. Am attending an F1 visa interview tomorrow,I currently have an admission with Howard university school of business for MBA in marketing. I did everything myself, applications etc without involving any agents, cause am stingy with my money sometimes. Am kinda scared of the interview process for students going to the United States,I hear about the denials and I get jittery. My questions are what are the likely questions for an MBA student especially one going to an high rated school in the states?? I've been on here as a guest for a few months, learnt a lot of stuffs but hardly see people going for MBA courses.Hope to hear from you guys. 1 Like |

Hello house, does being engaged prove enough strong ties to Nigeria? |

Angelapinkytoes: Two big questions. Can you pay for the tuition and accommodation, Healthy stable bank account. Can you prove that you will return home after the schooling? Then Why did you pick this school? (Your answer should be in normal speaking voice, not something complicated you practised in front of a mirror!) |

xxxx: Hey Remi I know it doesn't matter now but want to use this to encourage others...can u see how we worry over irrelevant things? Me included! This person I quoted, worried about her previous denial. That's even understandable. I worried about much sillier things. Guys, you want something? Forget the naysayers, be honest and truthful, slay the doubts, get the information you can, and go get wat u want! 2 Likes |

mevisbleek: Thanks much Sir... I started an application to Calgary University but stopped half-way because the course I intended applying is open for fall of 2017 not this year. I have been admitted in Glasgow Caledonian University for Applied Instrumentation and Control but I still don't feel excited about it. I really fell in love with the course outline of the University of Bridgeport, CT, US,..Infact they have all I've ever wished for and fortunately I got admitted. It really hurts when you fail to get exactly what you really want that's why it appears i'm desperate to get the visa. But I'll appreciate if you can help me find a school in Canada that can still accept my application for Fall 2016. My intended course of study is an M.Sc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering....I'll really appreciate your support. Thanks a bunch, I agree, I need a back-up plan. |

justolowo: Even 100% scholarship doesn't guarantee you a visa..the question is is he (or are you) ready for the interview? |

worry359:of course I can pay the tuition and fees, half of the fees were waived for me cause of my good GMAT scores and BSC results;I presented my results from the business school in Germany. I applied to Northwestern university(Kellogg) and Yale university. I was offered full admissions in all but I decided to go for Howard cause they responded to me quicker. My mom lives in Washington too. And proving that am gonna come back;we all know not everybody will wanna come back after studies. I hope I do well tomorrow at least my Nigerian passport ain't virgin. |

Dominicumoh: In life, we don't always get what we want. I wanted to be an investment banker but I'm now a Technical Account Manager but God helped in placing me in a fortune 100 company. That been said, I totally understand how you feel. Funny enough,I live in Calgary, UOfC is an awesome school. I would have loved to help you look for a school but the process is daunting to say the least and I have little time on my hands. Well, let's see how your interview goes. I pray it works out for you. God forbid, if it doesn't then I will assist with working with you on the Canada shindig. Please, I mean no disrespect in my statement. Feel free to call my attention if y feel offended by anything I've said thus far. Stay blessed. My wife also has her interview same day and time with you in abj :-) |

Be positive and never be discouraged, though the money you've spent is much. They've given you meaningful advises. Since you have already paid for the visa application fee. I would say that you should try and work on your lapses very well before going for the interview proper as scheduled. Also try and convince the VO on how important your position would be to the department and organization upon completion of your program, and that you are really prepared for the program you are going for, and make the VO understand that during you working days , you've been able to save some money in assisting yourself for your intending program and with your uncle's financial support. Nothing but Joy( rien d'autre que la joie)! it's well bro. Dominicumoh: |

Angelapinkytoes: Slow down a little. You were offered MBA admission to Yale but you chose Howard because they responded to you early? If you chose Howard because they halved your tuition fees, that makes sense, but an MBA from Yale is nothing to be sniffed at. All the best in your interview, I'm sure you will get the visa, Howard is a decent school. 2 Likes |

Can one pay for visa without admission yet cause of likely change in price. I mean to be used within a year from date of payment |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by worry359(m): 7:10pm On May 12, 2016 |
borie4u: You can not just buy a visa like yams at the market! You must convince the visa officer that you have a valid reason for the visa, but more so you must prove that you will return home after your visit. |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by Nobody: 7:10pm On May 12, 2016 |
