To those hypocrites saying Jonathan is better than PMB cos of fuel subsidy removal, hear this. Jonathan came to Lagos in 2013 and talked about removing fuel subsidy, just a year after he attempted it in 2012. He was only waiting for the 2015 election to come and go You'll ask for source right? Here it is from Vanguard newspaper IPoB news
That was 2013, a year after the occupy Nigeria. Let's check 2014 news
And the last in the series
Take note of the last news item, it was bound to happen no matter what we did. All these propositions came on during GEJ's regime and he would have implemented it in 2015. The thing had to go in the best interest of everyone in Nigeria. The best time to kill it is now under a very transparent man, who would account for every kobo to be saved from subsidy removal 3 Likes 1 Share |

We were buying fuel at the rate of N65 per litre in December, 2011 and by 3rd week in January, 2012 we started buying at the rate of N97 per litre. This amounts to savings of N32 on every litre. Can we ask Jonathan, Diezani and NOI what they did with our N32 per litre from Jan, 2012 to February, 2015? Nothing to show. Even SURE-P was a fraud. We knew this and that was why we occupied Nigeria. In 2016, we are not going to occupy any where. We would only trust buhari to give us 1) Improved economy 2) Security 3) Electricity 4) Good Roads 5) Improved infrastructures 6) Improved well being of Nigerians If he fails us, by 2019, we would sweep him out like we swept out GEJ 10 Likes 1 Share |

Let's be honest.....whoever took the decision to remove fuel subsidy....whether GEJ or PMB.....it would have been the right decision. And anyway.....PMB is a secret fan of fuel subsidy. He is removing it because right now...we do not have the money to pay for it thanks to fall in crude oil prices. 1 Like 1 Share |

Under GEJ in 2012 price of barrel of crude oil was about $100 and the daily crude oil export was about 2,000,000 barrels per day. Under Buhari, price of barrel of crude oil is about $47 and the daily crude oil export was about 1,100,000 barrels per day. Please honest Nigerians, where do you want Buhari and Kachukwu to get money to pay for subsidy? Please tell me. We dont even have money to fund the budget and yet you want us to pay 1 trillion Naira on subsidy? They want to destroy Nigeria completely |

iykopy: Your rhetoric is so senseless. Ive given you reasons why we didn't support in 2012 and why we will support now. Get a thinking cap young man Under GEJ in 2012 price of barrel of crude oil was about $100 and the daily crude oil export was about 2,000,000 barrels per day. Under Buhari, price of barrel of crude oil is about $47 and the daily crude oil export was about 1,100,000 barrels per day. Please honest Nigerians, where do you want Buhari and Kachukwu to get money to pay for subsidy? Please tell me. simple arithmetic tells you $100 X 2,000,000 barrels = $200,000,000 per day 2012 under GEJ $47 X 1,100,000 barrels = $51,700,000 per day 2016 under Buhari Tell us what GEJ did with that surplus from 2012 to 2014 at least |

Interestingly, if the opposition had agreed to the removal of fuel subsidy in 2012, this OP won't be here to spew this trash. Does it not show to the world that a president who was in the opposition could campaign with a policy he either had no idea about or was using to score cheap political points, only to come into power and do the very same thing is not fit to be in power? If this isn't the height of cluelessness and buffoonery then tell me what else? I don't blame the OP, it is the symptom of the sign of the times. 1 Like 1 Share |

There is a New Twist to all this. The owners of the Oil money are not interested in this "news". They want the fundamentals revisited. They want control of their oil blocks. They want the Trillion Dollar Asssets returned. Like PMB said "Something TANGIBLE" not Kangaroo news. |

davodyguy:Mumu... I don't think many people are against subsidy removal.. My point is if it was right to occupy Nigeria in 2012 then it is right to Occupy Nigeria now... So Buhari knew subsidy had to be removed and he deceived Nigerians into protesting in 2012, isn't that Evil?? Another President should remove the subsidy in 2020. Not Buhari that opposed it in 2012. Buhaari and his camp in 2012 said subsidy doesn't exist. You can't remove what you believe doesn't exist. When another president is voted into power, he can remove the subsidy, for now let them leave the subsidy for us. |
