How do you make out time to visit all these sites, plus Nairaland and other physical activities, work, social life etc, I don't do half of these, yet I sleep earliest 2am and I am not finding it funny anymore... Tell me, how do you manage your time.

Actually i don't visit them daily, but i av most of them as Apps on my fone, i liked some on my Facebook page, following some on IG, so i get notification of new posts and i quickly check them. If i have nothing to do, lonely, sleepless, no light, if i don't av much to do at work, then i do through them all.

8. Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan.

The 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan caused a lot of damage and still the Fukushima nuclear plant is in the danger of collapsing and leaking radioactive material into the ocean. Japan is prone to earthquakes but Koji Minoura, had warned of a exceptionally devastating earthquake that hits the Fukushima area about every 1000 years. He published his warnings in his study and in many magazines but it was ignored completely and nothing was done to protect the area and especially the nuclear powerplant. It led to 15,894 deaths, 6,152 injured, 2,562 people missing and US$14.5 to $34.6 billion.

9. World's Deadliest Avalanche(Glacier 511).

In 1970 the world’s deadliest avalanche occurred in Peru when Glacier 511 came down into the valley after an earthquake and buried about 25,000 people alive. The sad thing is that in 1962, two students, David Bernays and Charles Sawyer, had warned the people of the valley below that the glacier was highly unstable. They were thrown in jail for two weeks for causing panic. They were released when they recanted their statements.

10. Tobacco and Cancer link.

Back in 1930, the German researchers had found a link between tobacco and cancer and by late 1940’s it was conclusive. However, to reject such findings and links, the Big Tobacco Company funded a phony scientific council who were to counter such claims against Tobacco. This group rejected the range of health problems in 1989 put forward to them bya Surgeon General. Even though, people are well aware, how Tobacco is harmful for them, yet Imperial Tobacco still continues to claim that smoking and cancer has no link. Over a 100 million people have died from cancer due to the consumption of tobacco in the 20th century.

Hmmmm, Interesting but a disaster that is meant to happen cannot be prevented, it is after the disaster we see the warnings. It has always been like that since Eve ate the forbidden apple and it will always be like that till we are no more.

You're right bro, some disaster cannot be prevented. But if we take to warnings, we can get ourselves prepared for them, evacuate, relocate our loved ones which will reduce the number of deaths and total destruction.

True. Most of these disasters have been recreated in Movies and people learn from History. I trust my Nollywood people, they will never do a movie about History so we can learn, all they do is ............, i don't even know what they do!

The Bela Guttman Curse

Bela Guttman, former coach of Benfica, after being denied bonuses for winning the European Cup (now Champions League), out of anger placed a curse on the club that "never in 100 years time will Benfica lift a European Cup"

This was far back in 1962 and ever since then Benfica have lost 5 Champions League finals and 3 Europa League finals

The curse's expiry date is due 2062, till them am afraid it's going to be a long gory wait for glory.
The thought of this makes me fear the curse that comes out of the mouth of a dying man.

They played better against Chelsea, and some persons felt the dead coach had been appeased or his curse won't work anymore, but they lost.

Again, they outplayed and outclassed sevilla, at the end, they also lost.

I wept and still weeping for benfica.

7. The Great Depression.

The Wall Street Crash of 1929 that led to the Great Depression was predicted by economist Roger Babson for many years before it happened. He kept warning everybody and everybody kept ignoring him. Till the crash finally happened and then Roger Babson had the chance to say, “I told you so” but I don’t think that he did. More than $5 billion evaporated and disappeared from the market leading to a decade of hardships for the whole nation.
Make this kind thing no happen to naija oo

This is the first time I would be paying a visit to this section. Other popular sections became bored and I craved for something new, and I found myself here.

I'm sticking here, not for many reasons, but solely because of you @Explorers

Thumbs up bro, this thread is worth it.

I'm telling you!

I scoffed at the story when I first heard it probably because I've never watched them play in the finals while growing

But after I saw they OUTRIGHTLY bastardized and outplay Chelsea and Sevilla in 2013 and 2014 respectively and yet still lost!, I knew something was fishy.
