You know the system. Because they are in power, they feel like they wasted their properties, now it is time to recover them.

I hope they accuse the governor of witch hunting as well.

And I hope all those who condemn Gov Ambode and called him names for demolishing Oshodi market will rise up and do same here.
I heard that in Lagos they demolish goods and shops over night, infact same day notice came.

I see so many funny comments here. For record purposes, this demolition is a scam. They private individuals cum politicians want to forcefully take over people's shops through govt backing.

You allocated shops to people and you turn back to revocate it.

You sold your land to investors and later years, you want to forcefully take possession of the the land because your kinsman is in power.

Ariaria intl market is almostly owned by non indigenes and since the governor took over, his kinsmen have been plotting to forcefully take over shops in Aba because of envy and greed.

The plan is that a shop owner pays #2,000,000 to the developer and the will use the fund to build a two Storey lockup shops, they original owner is only entitled to one shop out of the three shops which his money was used to build.

Who's deceiving who?

If you want to demolish shops, go for the ones that were built on drainage and workway.

Don't mind those who just read and feel it's a must to comment and write trash.

This same government Collected huge sums of money from these traders to build and own shops and now they are in power they want to take it by force.

It's same thing with saint Michael. Those saying aba traders are stubborn people have not even bothered to ask what trespassed between the traders and the government before condemning.

These people and corruption.
Imagine Abia State polytechnic that has been constantly owing their staff a minimum of three months salary at any given time has employed over 200 staff since the inception of this Governor and all are from a particular region. I have friends there so I know

No need, the different views by the traders gathers more. In the other city they will demolise within two days of notice in a joint operation with thugs, loots shops and still blame the people they rob to feed. What a country! Hell Razor.

If you are following events globally you will understand why Abia state government should have a rethink. The economic depression which every state is having in Nigeria ought to make my able Governor to slow down on certain things.
1.An agency was formed A U R,to review the towns master plan and bring it back to live.Demolition of structures ensued, how many of these roads have been completed, mostly part construction and the road users are subjected to extreme life threatening encounters on these roads, these demolition has really eroded into the aesthetics of the town.

2.Civil servants and pensioners are owed salaries for months, though there is no excuse for that as same is obtainable in other states too.

3. Abia state has gotten to a terribly state of degradation in all facets, the average person that lives in Aba is not finding the harsh nature of daily livelihood easy.

4.My able Governor should review the present state of events and retrace his steps from violemt demolition of properties..

5.
