LeSudAfricaine: True, SOWETO is not a slum. I dont know where do people get this thought about soweto being a massive slum, where poverty is the order of the day. In Soweto, there is 24hrs constant electricity, 24hrs constant water supply, all roads are tarred. If you have doubts, try this google streetview, www.vpike.com select south africa and go to Soweto. Tell me if you will fine a road that is not tarred. http://www.vpike.com/?ci=953781&country=ZA 1 Like |

We can argue and fight with all our energy, but the truth still remains, as much as Nigeria got that stupid rank. Poverty in this country is real, and south African's can never even catch us with poverty even if they tried. South Africa is paradise compared to this shit in Nigeria. What are we doing with the claims that we are richer?. Guys lets go to SA and see their poor sides and compare to Nigeria's richest sides. truth still remains our country is bleeped up. Nigeria needs to wake up and stop being big headed for nothing 4 Likes |

OohLalah: Besides that, let them leave their currency to float and see whether they can remain at the top. Both these countries have a tight control over their currency, they peg their currency. for an example, Naira has been pegged to N200 to the $1, but in the parallel market its N320=$1, Egypt have also done the same, egyptian pound has been pegged at 8.85 =$1. South africa is the only country on the continent which keeps its currency float, this makes south africa to be globally competative and use their currency as a shock absorber, the rest are just an artificial economies, they cannot compete with south african economy in all spheres. The so called 3rd biggest economy in africa still controls 80% of africa stork exchange, still has the biggest middle class, still has the biggest budget in the entire continent, is still the biggest investor in the entire continent, still produces 60% of electricity power of the entire continent. 2 Likes |

oduastates:why not.crony capitalism works just fine in korea and will actually be the fastest most feasible way out for us cos looters will make the money work for the economy indirectly.it's not pretty but it's waaaaay better than loosing all that lovely lolly to foreign economies |

14: You are talking to desperados bra, they won't accept the truth even if it slaps them right between their eyes. They are into talking big and living crappy. As long as they pretend to be the "biggest" anything in Africa. Ego is their currency to life with nothing to show for. Its sad really if you think about it. |

OohLalah:read my first post on page one. I started this. I'm a nigerian but i live in south africa. U can't compare the two countries. Infact it is an insult to south africa if u try to compare it to nigeria. South africa is 1million times better than nigeria. Its only the nigerians who have never left nigeria that keep saying otherwise. 3 Likes |
