Yes dear. I only take cold water once in a while. Especially after i throw up. Just finished throwing up everything in my intestines an hour ago sef. I never knew nausea and vomitting returns in 3rd trimester. Its dealing with me seriously.
The kids didnt come today o. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Lol cheesy

Read wide, learn more.
Dont self medicate o, just try to find the root cause and file your medical reports so that as you are researching you know which category you belong to.
This is not the time to say I am not a biology person o, this is the time to embrace science and all research done. You can start with Onyinye's lead, get her contact and talk to her directly but dont expect that she will always be there to answer your questions o, learn the ropes and take charge.
Request for a copy of the scan result from your Dr.
Go to another scan centre preferably 3D and get your second opinion, I think Omvial or so does @ Alemo50. Search for that user name, he is a Prof or so, i'm not sure. If you probably book am appointment with him, he can be your 2nd opiniom and because he is an expert in that field, he will likely tell you why that occured
Drs are DemiGods, I know buh even they, as Specialists dont know everything. That is why most times abroad, you will see a Dr inviting another kind of Dr to test/ evaluate you even tho they can easily do it.

Personally, I would continue my drugs till I get the 2nd opinion quickly. This weekend maybe sef.

The conditions that can be assessed are:
1. Exact picture of the baby in colour and video like one shown here. You can have the videos recorded on flash drive to play for families. It promotes bonding as you see the baby open its mouth, suck thumb, grin, and other behaviors you never thought babies engage in. No woman ever forgets the experience, and the pictures and videos are there for life
2. Sex from 3 months
3. Any abnormality in the baby
4. Doppler of mother and baby to know if enough blood is getting to the baby. If enough blood is getting to the baby (ie if the Doppler of umbilical artery is normal), that baby cannot die in the womb in the next one week. So Doppler is the main test of fetal wellbeing worldwide now. So, whenever the doctor says that IUGR is suspected, that is poor fetal growth, then Umbilical artery Doppler must be done so that unnecessary CS is avoided
5. Prediction of outcomes of pregnancy. Eg MCA Doppler if woman is Rhesus negative, Uterine artery Doppler to know if the woman will develop Hypertension in pregnancy, so that low dose aspirin can be started to prevent it
6. Nuchal translucency to detect if baby has chromosomal anomaly eg Down syndrome
7. Infertility scan, such as sonoHSG to replace X-Ray HSG, Follicular monitoring etc

Essentially it performs all the required scan to ensure that the woman sees and interpret the findings herself

I called one of the numbers.....yes right now, this night and was told that he wasnt in Lagos but you would be able to speak with someone.
If you are like me, request politely for his contact and ask him to please read your scan personally and talk to you. Scan the result and send it to him.
He has been away from NL since Feb so calling him out here makes no sense.

They open tomorrow by 8.30, please go for Allah's sake and let us know the outcome.

Yes Oka is real..it happened to my first baby,its nt a good experience for the baby and mother,i cried almost everyday because my baby was getting smaller day by day. I av nt been taking plantain cos I dnt want to experience that thing again.

I.understand oka is actually dehydration in babies. It is unlikely a pregnant woman eating plantain would would cause it.

Sorry about your experience. Did you treat it medically and what did the Drs say? Was any Link made to your eating plantain in pregnancy as a possible cause?

This is because the one ginababy posted is not advisable on bruised skin. It's like pepper spray n adviced to be used on joints n tendons pain.
I don't think it can be used in d vjay area.
It's very pepperish and I guess this is what the man has been saying.

Please clarify which of the two so mamas won't be confused.

Pregnancy brain n hormones can make us do funny things, before we go n put pepper spray in our vjay

Men are also welcome who either have medical experience or have pregnant wives. Let's not scare people away but try to correct them gently since we are one family biko. Men are welcome in our discussions as long as they don't derail. We could learn a thing or two from thorpido experience.

And thorpido is truly a paramedic. He was once active yrs back on ds very thread and health section. A very patient fellow too cos preggy mamas can drag him here and there and he'll still patiently ans us all.

The witch hazel pads re something like the attached pics. U put it on ur regular sanitary pad and wear. If you don't find it, ask for the spray. You spray it on ur pad and wear. It will reduce postpartum vjay irritation.

For the spray bottle, u can improvise. Get any plastic bottle, open a hole at d top and each time u finish urinating, spray the area

You can ask pharmacy or cosmetic shops for the witch hazel.

Cos I love beans so much and plantain at the sametime I don't wnt anytin to affect my baby head!

OKa is depressed fontanelles in english.
I heard alot about it too.
Medically i read there are 4 openings (fontanelles) after a baby is born but the largest/widest is the one in front of the head known as amuje in yoruba, soft spot in English. The back and 2sides close up from 2 months till 12 months while the front takes up to 2 yrs to finally close. Thereis a thick membrane covering it but u can see it breathing when baby is crying or sucking.
There are 2 abnormal situations, 1 is depressed which can be due to dehydration and the other is bulged which can be due to brain infection.
The depressed which is more common than the bulged will still close only you needs advice by medical personnel.

Traditionally, okq is something that thrives on plantain. Its not in all plantains but you don't know which it lives in so that's the rationale behind not eating it at all. Its like saying small babies should not eat uncooked eggs cos of (i have forgotten what they call it) the thing is not in all eggs but can be so its better to avoid it.

Truly medical people are doing well but we as Africans cannot completely ignore tradition.

Personally i didnt eat it at all in 1st preggy cos everybody was tigering (if there is a word like that) me as na 1st grand child, 1st great grand child i was carrying. She came out fine. During ds too i was forbidden from eating it but one day i sneaked to eat it at work. Just once. He too is fine.

Other mamas will torchlight it more.
