There are farming Land in Ede in Osun state for an outright sale of 80k per Acre
And that is the state i leave. You can relocate to the farming area for ease of access to and fro the farmland. The community around the farm land has provisions for basic residential facilities with maximum security provision by the community and law enforcement agents. Its facilities are competitively up tight that you wont miss a thing about the city provided your the type that love agriculture. with steady power supply, water provision and affordable standard accommodation, You can get a 2 bedroom flat with water, light, fenced compound for as low as 60k per year, and a 3 bedroom flat with basic provision 80k per year with fence water and steady light.
The farm lands are for outright sale as you determine what kind of farming project you want on your property. But if your choice of farming is livestock, I will advice you to think through before you throw your money into poultry or other kinds of livestock project with killing and throat cutting running cost or possibly plunge you in irredeemable loss. As such, I will advice you to reconsider snail farming and do your research and visibility on it. Its Net Profit margin is as high as 98% and its something almost anybody can do with your eyes closed and without the need for special or sophisticated skill.
When you get the land and start off with your snail farming, you may employ the service of guard dogs like wrathwhiler and German shepherds dogs to ward off predators such as birds, snakes, rodents strangers, & trespassers from the farm land.
. You may choose to sight lodge cabins on the farm for housing if you so desire to permanent your farm workers on your farm.
Here is d market analysis, an average Nigerian snail is well prized due to d economic significance of its giant size, that makes it a great delicacy. D bigger d snail, d bigger d market price an average giant snail is sold in d ranges of #80 naira, #100 naira, #150 naira and #200 naira, #250 naira. Let's say u get 1,000 stock of snail at #80,000 to #100,000 naira at #80 or #100 naira per snail and each snail lays up to at least 600 to 900 or 1,500 eggs in a year, what you will hv in d end at d 12th month of harvest if we go by d least projection of 600 snails laid per stock equals 600 eggs ×1000 initial breeding stock ×at least if u sell at #80 per snail Total Accruable Revenue= #48 Million naira, if the total running cost of production and management till harvest is 500k, and given that Net Profit Margin= Company's total sales for a given time period - Total Expenses for production and delivery÷ Total Revenue × 100, then the Net profit Margin = #48,000,000-500,000= #47,500,000 therefore #47,500,000÷#48,000,000x100=98%. Therefore d total Net Profit Margin is 98%. 8 to 10 table size snail is sold for 1,000 naira at the retail market, our market targets are local markets such as individuals, restaurants and eateries, hotels, shopping mall and supermarkets, cold rooms and export markets if hygienically well smoked, sun dried and well branded and packaged for export.

The overall budget for the snail farm till harvest at the end of the year is 500k or #500,000 Naira. The break down are as follows, 80k for the Acre of farmland, 20k for the lawyer to do the papers for Deeds of ownership &Transfer, 20k for the tractor to clear and grade d land, 80k for the breeding snail stock of 1,000pcs, 150k to set up the pen on an Acre, then the rest 150k may be used for the management cost over time which can be traded with for turn over to plough the proceed into the running cost of d snail farming business. All that is required over all for a minimum revenue of 48 million and a profit margin of 98% in the snail business is an overall budget of #500,000 Naira. This shows all the likely, possibly and structurally hidden cost at a glance. For those interested in livestock farming, I must tell u categorically that snail farm is d best and top on d livestock farming list, unlike the conventional mad rush, competition and band wagon tailing in d poultry & fish farming wt its outrageous cost of feed, d risk and vulnerability to loose all your livestock in one swoop, your killing running cost and over head cost. Snail farm I must say is d best in everything that has to do with livestock farming typically meant for the African economy, protein shortage and deficiency, its best in protein quality unlike beef as its Cholesterol level is Zero. The pen outlay is far less technical and very easy to set up, its waste is never a threat to its environment provided its guts is safely disposed. with just 1,000 breeding stock snails, you can raise an army of 600,000 to 1,500,000 million snails in just a year. And to feed them, you may never have to spend a dime feeding them until your 12th due month of harvest. It feeds on fruits, leaves, maize pulp, vegetable and alkaline base organic matter which are all freely obtainable in nature. Snails don't fall sick provided you don't give them acidic materials and provide d right atmosphere and consider due factors, you may never need a vet doctor nor drugs on your snail farm. In most cases, snails don't need antbiotics or deworming medicine. Snail feed to body mass conversion ratio is as high as 45% to 75%, poultry is 35% to 50% if well dewormed with adequate supplement and depending on d feed type, cat fish body mass conversion is 25% to 50%, Pig body mass conversion ratio is 25 to 45%, cattle and ruminant animal are 15% to 25%. To avoid pest and unsanitary condition, u can house your snail farm on an enclosed basement with mesh wire. Choose the right stocks for breeding and should be point of lay and big enough as they can go for as much as #100 Naira, #200 naira, #300 naira, #400 naira and #500 naira. Except for immediate consumption, If you must buy your breeding snail, make sure you buy directly from snail farmers or farmers in the rural area that sourced the snail. Never buy breeding stock from the market women who sell in retails as such snails are usually over stressed due to lack of proper feed and insufficient water supply. Snails feed on over 500 varieties of crop and as such can be feed with multivitamin supplements, limestone, alkaline substances, vegetable and fruits, whole grain meal, blood meal, legumes, Snail Calcium supplement, fish meal, bone meal, sea shells, egg shells, cassava, sweat potato, coco yam and water yam leaves and crop , kitchen remnants, banana, mango, pawpaw, watermelon but avoid feeding them with citrus fruits such as oranges. Red or Clayey soil is not good for snails as it is acidic except for loamy or sandy soil from fresh water swamp or river. For snail pest control from insect, termites, snakes or centipede use the following to fumigated the environment: DD Force, Act force gold, Attacke, Cyper Force. If u find my grammer to big and you are confused and cant afford to start snail farm on the budget of 500k and cant afford a big pen for ceryain reasons, get tractor or trailer tyres piled or stacked together in your compound on a concrete floor and pour in your snails, water and feed on the budget of 20k and cover it with plywood in your compound. Acres of Lands ate available for farming at Irua, Isenyin, Igbo-Ora in Oyo, and at Ede in Osun at 80k, 100k and 150k. To order for quality snail stock fit and fertile for breeding and For my consultation, add me on Watsapp with 09099176956 or Call me on 07038323986. Am Adewale Oladipupo.

Nigeria & African large Snails are 100% safe to eat without eulogised health hazard nor the risk to contracting schistosomiasis (Snail fever) nor the agents of Angiostrongylus Cantonensis. This diseases is not perculiar to all snails as believed but limited to snails and other animals obtained in the wild and to include crops, fruits and vegetables, such as fish, rodents, rabbits, snails, grasscutters and the likes unlike the fear created and rumoured by the USA & the CDC. As long as it is well prepared and well cooked, all the items listed as potential agents of Schistosomiasis are100% safe to eat when properly cooked, Just like every other livestock. Just as our great grand parents lived on & with such for many years before the advent of modern medicine. If there must be solutions and if we must walk up the innovative Bent's of modern medicine and for quality health, our objectives and criticism must be constructive, clear & succinct and not to make a mess of other peoples heritage and socio cultural values.
This acclaimed inherent disease from the consumption of Large African snails are vulnerable to residents in the riverine, swampy and coastline areas that lacks access to portable and clean water, and improper sewage disposal with severe environmental degradation are the most vulnerable in Nigeria.
The Most Vulnerable Nigerian States to the disease Bilharziasis or schistosomisis (Snail fever) caused by a parasitic flat worm called Schistosoma Hematobium which causes urogenital disease, kidney enlargement, bladder cancer, skin itching after shower and rash (Swimmers itch) frequent Urine, Bloody Urine, painful Urine, lymph Node enlargements. The vulnerable states to snail fever or snail flat worm parasite (Bilharzia) are Delta, Akwaibom, Cross River, Edo, Plateau, Benue, Cross River, Akwaibom, Rivers, Nasarawa, Abia, Lagos and other riverine and fishing areas of Nigerian states. It must be cleared that snail is just one of the lots of the carrier agents of the flat worm bilharzia. It is also common in Cattles and Ruminant animal, rodents, pigs, fish, and water body inhabitants or organisms.
Humans are also agents of the flat worm Bilharzia as the flat worm lays thousands of its eggs in d human guts and intestines which could get trapped in our system and could migrate to other human organs and also finds its way into the blood vessels which could be carried for many years in our system.
Some of the eggs are released in human fecals into d environment or bush or the rivers which are later contracted by rodents, fishes and other water bodies or at worst when the water from such polluted streams are used for drinking, washing as such dishes and laundry and cooking in the villages or rural areas or places with deplorable environmental condition, poor refuse and sewage disposal and poor irrigation.
For a well cultured snail farming practice, I can say its meat is the best compare to other animal protein except for fish. Cultured Snails are far more safe to health without the fear of inherent health hazard when well prepared and properly cooked.

Just as cigarette smoking is d greatest challenge and major cause of cancer in the USA, Europe and the developed world so is the flat worm, Bilharzia or Schistosomiasis in Is rated 2nd to Malaria in Africa and Nigeria as the most debilitating disease most common among farmers, fishermen and the residents of rural areas. Over 65 million Nigerians are vulnerable to polluted or water borne diseases that relates to bladder cancer. I must say that it is for this reason that Nigeria is on the USA list Countries with the worst food products unfit for importation into the United States because most of our food items are regarded as substandard and unfit for consumption in the USA.
The USA believes that Nigeria is bereaved with too many health challenges with proper health care services highly undermined.
Categorically, The Americans forbids Nigerian and African Giant snail because they can be a major pest and threats to their crops and farm land in USA. The USA eat snails from Europe, Asia, Australia but not from Africa. Whether its USA North eastern snails, European snails, Canada snail, Australia snails, Central American Snails, South American snails, Large African or Asian snails, believe me, snail is snail and the same every where except that the sizes varies.
I advice people to go into farming African snails without fear. African Large Snail is forbidden in the USA but its not in Africa as its a great delicacy and of great economic significance to Africans.
To a large extent the ban of African Large snail in the USA is politically motivated as the USA allows and eat imported snails from Australia and Europe which are equally vulnerable to Billarzia except if culturally controlled just like the regular Commercial Snail farming in Nigeria. There are also cases of Bilharzia or schistosomiasis in most developed countries whose reports are not given media audience in Australia, Europe, Asia, China, USA, South America, Central America, Canada and Australasia.
The feared schistosomiasis does not have a peculiar attachment to snails as acclaimed as most people with the disease has never had any contact with snail but peculiar to people in the riverine and rural areas who lacks access to portable water but results in drinking from rivers & streams and also cook with it and does domestic chores with polluted water as such as laundry and dish washing, suspectible to people who eat fresh water fish captured in the wild, fish capture in contaminated water and lagoon, people who eat eat anything poorly cooked that is captured in the wild to include bush meat, snails, fishes, fruits and vegetables. Also people who swims in rivers or fresh water are not exempted. In some cases people who go to swim in beaches and polluted sea water are vulnerable.
Conclusively people who indulge or live in a deplorable environmental sanitation with indiscriminate sewage disposal are also vulnerable to this most feared disease in d world called schistosomiasis that his next to cancer in the developed world and next to malaria in Africa and the rest of the developing countries of the world in most cases, it is mistaken for mare typhoid. If proper diagnosis is not administered, in extreme cases, it is lethal. Its symptoms are itching skin, mild fever that can escalate in a short time, abdominal pain, bloody fecal, bloody urine, problem in urination (urinogenital problems) kidney enlargement, prostate cancer and bladder enlargement, botulism, enlargement of the stomach and water retention in the stomach and bronchitis, dry cough, tuberculosis, intestinal and colon bacteria infestation. For remedy consult your doctor for proper diagnosis.
Praziquantel or Oxamniquine may be administered for cure and for prevention. Let it be cleared that this sickness is not peculiar to Snail farming and so should not restrict or discourage people from snail farming. The problem with the most developed countries of the world is their Phobia for anything Nigeria; they fear and forbid almost anything Nigeria as Nigeria is the talk of the town as long as Nigeria is the most populous and most significant country in Africa with the biggest economic significance and economic presence.
The Nigerian people and government need to do alot to ameliorate and remedy this impression as this black and vilified impression of this great & beautiful country could furtherly worsen, ridicule or cripple the country's economic power. For snail farm consultation and To set up your snail farm call 07938323986 or add me on Watsapp with 09099176956. Am Adewale Oladipupo.
