Dear Sir,

I think we should not allow quacks who thinks that by being half-baked Journalist, they are better than you and I to mislead us about feeding prisoners with N14, 000 per day.

The Minister said Nigeria needs about N10 billion yearly to feed about 70, 000 prisooners. Now, if you multiply N14, 000 by 70, 000, you will get N980 million per day. So, if you calculate N980 million by 365 days which make a year, you will get N357.7 billion per year. The question is, is 357.7 billion equal to N10 billon which the minister said at the Town Hall Meeting?

If you are to divide N10 billion by 65, 000 which is the total number of prisoner in Nigeria, what you will get is N450 per day.

However, here is a story that arouse my curiosity on the matter before I embark on the research.
