With the enormous uproar caused by the increase in fuel prices from #86.50 to #145 per litre, now is the perfect time for Nigeria to embrace the new product that has just hit the market. Pay As You Go Solar! Many people have commented that there should have been palliatives in place before the prices were hiked up. Afterall, how can people now afford to fuel their generators at #145 per litre, nearly 70% higher than before. There actually is already a brilliant alternative on the market, and one that will free you completely from the need to even visit a fuel station again. From as little as #350 per day, every single Nigerian can have guaranteed 24 hours power to their homes, and never worry about NEPA or high fuel costs again. The rush for the solution had already been extremely high even before the price hike, but the last couple of days has been huge for new customer sign ups. We very quietly launched this programme several months ago, as we wanted to test the response, and it has grown rapidly purely by word of mouth referrals. In view of the recent event, we could no longer keep quiet to the public about what's available to them. I want to use this forum to enter into an enlightened discussion with my fellow Nigerians about the very simple options available to them in terms of getting 24 hours power, and not being affected by the huge fuel price increase. This will not be used as a sales platform, as it contravenes the rules of Nairaland, but any sales enquiries can be taken offline. So, I have fired the starting pistol, I look forward to an engaging discussion with any and everyone, and look forward to answering your questions. Regards Uvie Ugono Founder & CEO Solynta Energy |

Now whats the deal?? |
Re: Simple Way To Beat The New Fuel Price Hike Is Available Now by Barcholder: 2:58am On May 15, 2016 |
Emassive: Very simple, we will install up to a 2KW Solar Power System in your home (enough to power 90% of Nigerian homes for 24 hours a day), and all you pay is an initial connection fee, and then fixed monthly payments thereafter. There are no maintenance costs to you at all, you simply make your payments monthly and continue to enjoy cheap 24 hours power. Our prices are as follows: 500 Watt System: Connection Fee of #15,000 plus VAT Monthly Fee of #8,500 1KW System: Connection Fee of #50,000 plus VAT Monthly Fee of #13,500 2KW System: Connection Fee of #60,000 plus VAT Monthly Fee of #26,000 plus VAT Monthly payments are in advance, so the first month's fee is paid together with the one time Connection Fee. For full details about each package and what it can power, please visit our website at www.solyntaenergy.com. You can contact us by email at solar@solynta.com.ng. You can also complete a contact us form on the website. As soon as we receive your email, one of our staff will get back to you as soon as possible. Installation takes just 1 day, so it's really quick. Kind Regards Uvie |

Kingsolex1: You know sir, in life there are two types of people - those that moan, complain, and try to tear down the work being done by others, and those that do, that constantly seek out and execute solutions to very real problems, the problem solvers. Which type of person do you think you are? May I take your comment as a tacid admission that our packages represent great value for the Nigerian consumer, hence your disbelief of it? In which case, thank you, your comment is greatly appreciated. Regards Uvie 1 Like |

These monthly payments will be for how long? Forever? |
Re: Simple Way To Beat The New Fuel Price Hike Is Available Now by Barcholder: 3:48am On May 15, 2016 |
Tokety7: The payments are ongoing for as long as you wish to continue having 24 hours power, in exactly the same way that you would continue paying any power provider for the power they supply to you, for as long as you continued to consume their power. That said, we do offer our customers the chance to buy off the system at any given point. We simply provide a redemption statement, based on a discounted value of the system in line with how old it is on purchase. Our purchase prices are very transparent, and are advertised on our website. We also offer easy payment plans, allowing customers to spread the purchase payment over 24 months. This offer was specifically designed to enable the majority of Nigerians to go Solar and get immediate 24 hours power, without having to invest the huge amount of upfront cost required to buy the equipment. However, it also allows the customer the flexibility to buy the system in the future at any time of their choosing. Regards Uvie |

Tokety7: That's not a problem at all sir, we have various options to suit the requiremnts of all customers. We currently have over 500 customers, and approximately 85% of them are on the Pay As You Go plan, whilst the remaining 15% have either bought off the system for cash, or are on our 24 month payment plan. You can see all the various pricing options and payment plans on our website Regards Uvie |

[quote author=REDDEVILS1 post=45635913]Which package can power my TV, home theatre, fridge, washing machine, iron and AC. Why the continous payment since after installation the energy to be consumed will be solar [/quote A 2KW system will power all the appliances stated except AC and Iron. For those, I strongly advice to use them when there's grid power. Otherwise, you will need a very large (and expensive) system to power the AC's in particular. Our Pay as You Go systems go up to 2KW only. For larger systems, you would need to buy on our Lease to Own Program. Typically, you need 2KW just to power a single 1.5hp AC for 8 hours a day, as it consumes in that time the same energy as the rest of your house combined. Regards Uvie |

Proudlyngwa: That price is high in comparison to what? It's 80% cheaper than running your generator, not including generator maintenance costs. It's by far the cheapest form of energy in Nigeria, even cheaper than PHCN on a cost per KW basis. With respect sir, I don't think its expensive at all. We have to finance the cost of the entire system, carry out all maintenance work forever, including change of batteries when due. We have to be able to recoup our costs over time, whilst continuing to offer a top level service. Regards Uvie |

Barcholder: How frequently is a generator maintained and what is the annual maintenance cost? How can this be cheaper than generator and PHCN? $100 per month on electricity and you are saying it is the cheapest? |

How can one be paying #26,000/month for a power source that can't be used to power pressing iron and air conditioner? Sorry to say, but that is extreme stupidity. |

@Barcholder, Pls, what's the timeline for expecting a response to mails sent to Solynta? No response to emails for a while now. If the Solar@.... Account isn't active anymore, pls advice an alternate email address. Thanks. |

A nice proposal but too expensive and also risky for you. You may suffer heavy loss. Just imagine a customer using a boiling ring and iron at the same time on your 2kw system even after carrying out isolation to prevent it. Those batteries will never remain the same again. |
