mama loads of misrepresentation in your application already, you were given one month visa with single entry and was stamped in 6 months and you decided to have your baby there, they stamped you in six months doesn't mean you should seat down there six months, obviously they saw the time you returned and you returned with a baby any v.o in his rightful common sense will refuse you o even the one whey dey sleep while reviewing your application will refuse you, now you are pregnant again you still no talk am, you would have chipped it in, I feel bad for you because by that singular act of yours you jeopardised your chances of birthing your other children in the U.S, you would have come back after that conference and reapplied.
Your paying your bills isn't the issue why you were denied mama, it's because of your misrepresentation which the v.o has seen as fraudulent and passing off. Your best bet now is reapply and pray to God and tell the whole truth, come clean to the new v.o you are 30 weeks gone, if God say Na there you go born na there, all the best with your new application o.

@Chloe thanks for your response. I feel really bad I am in this situation right now. This pregnancy is stressing me now visa wahala has joined. I really would want to know if anyone has been in my kinda situation before and how they went about it. Also how do I let them know (VO) that I misrepresented with the one month visa so I can be pardoned?

Hello house, great work you all are doing here I must say. Please I have an issue that requires a quick intervention. I applied for a b1/b2 visa to attend a 2weeks event and come back, and was given a b1 1 month visa (annotation) 2014 after been denied in 2013 for the same event (its yearly), got to ATL Poe and I was stamped in for 6 months as against the 2weeks I initially put in my application to stay since I was pregnant as at then (6months and VO was not aware) and was stamped in for 6months, I decided to stay back and have the baby there after the said event. I paid all my bills in full got my zero balances to show. Got back to Nig, waited for a year and now reapplied last week hoping to renew my visa b1/b2 visit visa. Getting to the interview the VO asked couple of questions which to the best of my knowledge I answered truthfully (no current pregnancy related questions, although I am currently pregnant and plan to birth the baby there) after the interview I was denied 214b. Now I urgently want to reapply because I want to birth my second baby there. How do I go about it please? Also my child has been really sick, sheduled an appointment with his pediatrician successfully. Should I just reapply saying I am taking him for medical reason or just apply saying I want to go birth my second baby? (Hoping the change in travel intent does not disqualify me) Or just reapply and stick to the same travel intent I was just denied of? Please house help as I don't want to be denied again please and also don't want to appear so desperate to the VO (considering I was just denied last week). Thank you house. Quick response please because I am currently 30weeks gone (with a small bump tho) grin
From the above, my ist Observation is that u have abslutely no idea of the imlications of your actions. The second one is that you are still to learn that dishonesty in visa aplications is misrepresentation and a crime and one shouldn't even be asking if to commit a crime , publicly at that.
Let me point out your issues
1. You were pregnant the ist time and didn't declare-misrepresentation. Leave that story now that u didn't plan to birth there. In visa matters, the burden of proof (in the real sense and not documents to carry) is on u. I sincerely fail to see how u will convince the vo that your intention wasn't to birth ab initio. A reasonable man wouldn't be convinced.
2. Your visa was anotated. I don't know the annotation. U didn't specify. Maybe the cbp didn't see it or wanted to try u. And u fell into their trap. I'm guessing eithr your lenght of stay or purpose breached your visa condition.
3. You still went back and misrepresnted. Not stating a material fact is as bad as lying. The form states it clearly.
4. I read your post and between the lines 'to the best of your knowledge' What does that mean? When the fact that you didn't state your pregnancy and that comment, I'm of the opinion that your intentions have been dishonest from the get go and I'm not even a visa officer who Has harsher standards. What u didn't know was that the vo was waiting for u to come clean during that interview. That was your 2nd chance and u blew it.
From the above, you have serzly maligned your intergrity and it will be VERY hard to get a visa for this your pregnancy.
Your child is a citizen. You are not. His illness is not a grounds to give ua visa. If indeed he wants to see a pedatrecian as a matter of urgency, the us can actually find a way to send him to his country for treatment without u.
My advice for you is to sit this pregnancy out and try again in the future. The former posters are right, u may actually get a ban.

your situation is pretty complicated and the onus is on you to prove, so I don't know anyone who has been in your situation before, like everyone has said you already blew your chances of getting a visa when you overstayed the first , an annotation means your entry is simply restricted to coincide with the purpose of your visit, I wish you did it the proper way at first and not running from pillar to post now

They already know u misrepresented. They gave u a chance to confess and u refused to take it. U can keep on reapplying if u want to. U can post your stories after so we can also use u as a learning point.
Read the thread. Particularly the last few weeks. 2 to 3 weeks ago. MadameU did not misrepresent and her visa was denied. And Jaiyesola 's story which I posted. And self evaluate. This thread isn't about short cuts . We point u to where valuable info is for u to research by youself.
Again , whether u get a visa is not dependent on if u can afford it alone.

@LadyGuinivere really appreciate your reply, thank you. The main truth is i ONLY applied for that event I was invited for and didn't even think I would have the baby there at that time because I was not married to my baby daddy then and he hadn't even mentioned if I was going to have the baby there or not. I personally think my offense was that I used the visa for the wrong purpose which is birthing a baby on a b1 visa. I only wish I can be guided on how to go about this new reapplication so I don't misrepresent again and I be granted the visa. Thank you.

That is not your only offence. It is an offence to not state that you are pregnant when u apply. Which u have done 2ice. If u want to reapply, then read the thread. And advice yourself on the proper course of action

Hello house. I got a B1/B2 visa via drop box . I have also used the visa for vacation in the US. Now I am pregnant and intend birthing in the US. I contacted the Doctor and paid some deposits. Do I need to write a letter to the embassy since I intend telling them at the POE the real purpose of my trip while I travel with evidence of being able to pay for my bills and already have a Doc appointment

Yes @Chloe7 I know it is very complicated but I can really explain myself if given the chance. Also I never knew I was overstaying because I made sure I left before my stamp was up knowing the consequences of overstaying there. I don't know what to do now. I am just weak as to what to do. I want to reapply immediately but I am scared + don't even know how to go about it regarding the ds160 form filling and I won't want to use an agent because they can be misleading. Thank you for your time.

obviously you have filled your ds-160 form twice yourself now, the first when you got the visa the second when you were refused recently, na you go still fill am again this time around and sincerely, you want to go an birth there so simply declare your intentions in your ds 160 form get a doctor get a hospital, read the thread for tips on those who have gotten the visa and applied while they were pregnant, when you attend your interview explain yourself and be sincere, you kuku know that the outcome of the interview will be one of two things, all the best!

Awww... Thank you @Chloe7 will do just that now. I will just state I am going for b2 medical because I am pregnant and also my baby needs to see his pediatrician (that appointment has been booked already tho) regarding doctor and hospital, I am still using same dr/hospital and I had booked an appointment. Lastly please the part that asks if one is traveling alone or with companion, should I name my child there or not? Since he won't be needing the visa, baby is a citizen. Thanks.

Everyday we breathe is a gift from God. We all should always be thankful.

Only yestrday did i see her picture on an ex-school mates page and realised I attended antenatal classes with her. Even her hubby came once. She looked sooo full of life and hopeful. I wonder what went wrong? Infct i even noticed her bcz i thot she was a chubby cuttie and smhow felt a feeling of knowing her before.

Indeed the yoruba are right when they say:eku ewu omo.
Childbirth is truly full of travails.

May her soul and that of the baby and all other faithfuls departed rest in perfect peace. May God grant her family and friends the fortitude to bear her loss.

Accept our condolence.

In that same hosp?

B2 visa, Tourism/Medical

What you did is as good as working on a B2 visa (Abusing the term of a visa). I think you should administer 5yrs ban by yourself, or get the advise of an immigration lawyer. This one pass me

Exactly @torchlight the main issue.
She was given two whole opportunites and she proved them right. Remember the poster that said how the cbp told her the vo made a note about the reason her husband was granted visa. In this case, u now have one note and another one showing that she misrepresented WILLFULLY

@nef azzin ehhhh. Even if the ist gaffe is forgiven, the 2nd one goes to show premediation. In my opinion no vo will take that I am sorry , I didn't know, it was a mistake chunchin. But what do I know?

@favoredgal i really wasn't dishonest in the first place when I applied trust me. When I applied for that visa never planned to have the baby on the first trip, I was to attend the event come back after 2weeks then travel to birth. But when the visa came I saw I month single entry was surprised and just travelled hoping To get back to Nig immediately I finish the event and reapply saying I was going to birth my baby but luckily when I got to the ATL POE I was stamped in for 6months and since I was 6months+ I just stayed back to have the baby there legally and paid all my bills no outstanding. So I really don't know where i aired.
you erred by not sticking to what you came to do which was the conference. You should have gone back and reapplied. Even though it must have been stressful and not pocket friendly too. But then all this would've been avoided. Anyway I'm not a VO and so as not to sound as a messenger of doom. You can reapply siting childbirth and vacation as reason, get Dr correspondence, receipts etc. One more thing you mentioned that you are taking your other child to see his pediatrician? Really? The issue can't be handled by paediatricians here? You have to wait till you get to the US? Hmm...

Good morning all, its good to be on this family supporting thread that has been so helpful. Though I am new and I have read through many posts and successes. I would appreciate your advice and contributions on this prospect. My wife and I wishes to have our baby in the US but I just secured admission to apply for F1 visa category, do you advice my wife apply for F2 visa to give birth or she should apply for B1/B2 visa category. Note she intend going with her Mum for the interview to assist her during the period of childbirth and after. My wife is working, her mum is working and I am also working too. Please who do you think should apply first, me or her? Please just advice. We have gotten a hospital in California and a doctor correspondence as well, waiting for the doctors invitation letter.

Correct me if I'm wrong. F2 is dependent visa? And is limited in the sense that unless u get, she won't and she can't work or school?
Hmmm. I'm confused so let's weigh both options.
Ist. If you are in the US, it is legal to receive healthcare if u pay. But you are yet to get a visa and yet to actually be in the US. At this point, u might apply for the F visa and be refused. At this point your wife knows she wants to receive healthk in the Us and have her mother follow her. I Don't know her far along she is. My people say, 'emee ngwa ngwa emeghara odachi' meaning ... Emm the earlier the better grin
So kuku go by way of Bvisa so to show obi ocha (clear mind) but she will still have to state that her spouse will be applying for an F visa at a point in the near future. This will make her mother's process easier.
I imagine the f visa will have u answering all the kweshions . You will now get there and say eheee madam also wan born there. A vo may just say abegi story don plenty here
Maybe somebody may have a better idea.

I really want to thank every single person that took their precious time to reply me, God bless you all. Also I just discovered this thread and just from last night to this morning I have gained a lot from you all. All the while I never thought of my issue as a Major One, all I was more worried about was the change of travel intent within 1week from my last week application that was denied (vacation for 2weeks) to this new present one I am reapplying for that's (child birth 12weeks) was just SCARED that the VO might deny me based on that sudden travel change.

I don't know about ur conclusion. I had gestational diabetes, at 38 weeks my baby was already big so he advised I be induced to have d baby vaginally cos I couldnt afford to wait for natural n labour. In my case, my baby didn't react well to the process hence the CS. I no I got the right call. If ur not comfortable or having doubts I think u should change ur doctor or wait when u meet him, check ur intuition and act.

As if Dr F likes inducing Reading mamas post on this is getting me scared. Being a FTM and reading d adverse effect of induced labour from d last mama that finally had CS, i dont think it a good idea.

Pls mamas who have gone through this could you share your experience? He's my doctor and i wanna be sure of anything he might be bringing to the table.

While I would have preferred thag you do not reapply at this time, if you insist on reapplying I would suggest that you do the following and make your reapplication more about being honest and starting to establish trust again with the embassy than about wanting to obtain the B2 visa at all costs.

Please consider the following if you can.

1. When filling the form state as much as you can to clearly show that you intend to have a baby again in the US.

E.g in reason for refusal, tell the absolute truth about all that has transpired.

In contact information use your intended doctor etc. In length of stay estimate and state the actual time you truly intend to stay.

2. I would advise against bringing in this baby needs to see a pediatrician angle. Quite frankly it looks to me like you're trying to anchor on your baby being a citizen to get a visa. This is not favourable to someone who is trying to prove non-immigrant intent in a visa application.

3. On whether you should even travel with your child or state that you're doing so. Would it be easy for you to establish any other ties to Nigeria (considering you already said you're not married to the the baby daddy?) What other ties can you rely on?

4. Ensure all documentation is available for the appointment ie doctor and hospital appointment, your budget etc.

5. Please don't state anything about having a sudden medical emergency while on the annotated visa, just tell the whole truth and be prepared to face the consequences.

6. In the event of an unfavourable interview please accept it as the consequence of your mistakes and do not reapply until circumstances have truly changed preferably on another pregnancy.

7.in the event of a favourable interview please do not exceed the stated time you applied with, pay your bills and return once you're done.

Ensure that you use the doctor/hospital as stated in your application.

I sincerely wish you the best.

Hi All,
please has anyone tried to pay for a British Airways ticket lately. Apparently you can't book and hold anymore, you have to pay with your card, while your bank will charge you their rate as against when you could pay at a GTBank.
please which bank charges official rate for card transactions? Stanbic?

@nef, may your friend's soul RIP.

Leakytribe has said it all. That's the best advice so far, try to heed it.

You need to learn how to pass a message in the most polite manner cause that's just the right thing to do and thank you for your contribution. Cheers.

Ok, here is me being polite. Don't reapply for the next 5years, except you can ascertain you have not been banned.

I mentioned using an immigration lawyer, I think they are the ones that can get your banned or not banned status from the embassy. If you haven't been banned, you can go ahead to build a defence. If you have been banned, I heard Canada is pretty nice in summer and Brazil also gives citizenship grin
