Yes, pregnancy causes constipation.
She should increase her uptake of veggies esp green leaves and water melon.
Avoid pineapples, unripe pawpaw and food made with potash cos they have been linked with painful contractions usually followed by miscarriages ( not always though).
She needs to drink water, her baby's amniotic fluid volume comes from her. Water may not seem palatable to.her right now so she can drink cold water or juice it up with nutri c or ribena.
She needs to drink water.
To limit the discomfort of constipation, she should eat plenty small meals rather than few big meals.
For you to be here, I want to believe you are helpful and supportive of her 'condition', please be.

Thank you Sister Zaynie, all ur advice were adhered to and the results were superb. On the issue of potash, its like maggi here in the north-buh we have made adjustments, alhamdulillah. That may mean she is not well hydrated. Pls incrrase her fluid intake may be ribena, lucozade, freshly made fruit juice like water melon. But let her avoid unripe pawpaw and pineapple. May it be easy for her.

Not in a good mood at all. Headache, fever and purging throughout yersterday evening and at night. Having blisters in my mouth too, couldnt even eat dinner. My well prepared vegetable soup with better tasting he-goat meat...Watching DH gulp down the food alone, I almost cried...Got my long expected rain at night but its not making sense to me right now .....
Exactly one month ago I treated malaria, wouldn't want to believe am down with it again. ... . Getting ready for ANC this morning. ....

Yeah its bumptuesday and we are 25 weeks today! like someone said the other day, getting those weekly mails from babycenter feels good even though i dey count the thing myself.

Please beg me to stay away from Lagos market, I go practically every week, even when I'm there for something else, I always come back with one or two things for baby, just can't help it lol. I'll be 16weeks on wednesday but I'm still experiencing MS, to avoid it DH wake up as early as 5am to prepare breakfast...I do have my breakfast in bed, no standing up, no brushing before eating then I sleep back. I always feel normal by the time I wake up, but any time I try to form strong and I try to enter the kitchen or even stay on my feet for more than 5mins then it is a sorry for me o.

We are in the same both then. I could be strong one minute then become so down the next. My gf came over with her baby yesterday and after following her roundabout town, I came back only to be attacked by severe MS; was vomiting and all. It wasn't funny. Just can't wait for it to roll over completely abeg
