OP! they will sure tell you jargon when you keep calling their customer service, to retrieve your stolen data back, go to their office, log the complain, note that when logging in the complain, accuse the very person attending to you of stealing your data with his computer, demand an explanation, he will try to claim it wasnt him or her, bla bla bla, insist it was him that use the computer in his front to take from your data, tell him so far you have no access to the MTN engineer that stole your data, you will hold him responsible, at least we all know computer can not operate itself, obviously there is someone doing that, in my own case, I told him, I live in this town, and this is your office, so you are the one who stole my money in the night using this computer, then I hijacked his phone, everybody in the office jumped up and i was attended to sharply , my money was refunded , lots of drama though, they thought i was a lunatic, cos i keep saying, if not you, show me the person, at least this is your office!!! they never see such before, since then, they no longer tamper with my money or data.
I'm not stupid, you can not hide behind the computer to steal my money, impossible.

Let every one of us keep to their rules, if they said this plan is 4 bbm only, dnt go and use it elsewhere, and for those of browsing, dnt leave ur data burning and go and sleep and think is not reading, no it does. Some of there resent plan is 7days they will tell you and you will agree to choose or not and after that day ends, the data is wiped out. So op stop confusing others here i have use airtel dat deserve a slap, have use glo very poor network and etiserlate that will kill ur data like bokoharm, MTN is still trying and is the best so far for those who care to listen. Dnt fall victim because of what the op and co is saying, he may be an agent trying to counter the thread some one created about poor services of there network. More some of these new plan MTN brought has rule and principles, some are for nite , some for day, some for only data , some for some specific no of days. When you choose, you read the rules and abide by them. Am still rocking my 1.5gb the go jareh, and it is still intact safe for few download i made. No more bashing any more if u said mtn no good who de hold you. Don't and stop discouraging others. Mtn has better and many opportunity to offer. Mtn the most wide covered area network. Lets go and do more.

Bro, you are wasting your time going to their office, except you are ready to put up some strong drama. If you are going to get that data refunded, you must be able to go very crazy with MTN. There are two ways to that. I am telling you this because I was a victim of their manipulation twice last month, and twice I got my money refunded (N3000 in total). You must exercise patience because as usual they will put the blame on you (am assuming you are being truly short-changed). In my own case, this is what I did

1. I didn't bother calling customer care. Those ones don't know anything.
2. I went straight to their twitter handle @mtn180 and lodged my complain there.
3. Expectedly, they told me the fault is on me and that there was no fraudlent deduction from my data.
4. I told them to show me the breakdown of data usage. They refused. Instead they refered me to self care portal to see the breakdown
5. When I saw that no help was coming, I started bombarding them with all sorts of accusations and fraudlent transactions with Nigerians
6. In each of those tweets, I copied NCC, Punch Newspaper, Director of NCC, Tony Ojobo and several other media outlets
7. Infact Tony Ojobo, replied my tweets and asked me to lodge my complaints with NCC on 622. That is free.
8. I did exactly that and the following day, MTN started calling me with 180.
9. In fact I neglected their first two calls knowing fully well that NCC was already at work!
10. I picked the third call, and the apology started: "Hen we are sorry for all the inconvinience you have experienced, that is not our way of treating our customers, we respect all our customers equally bla bla bla...... Please not that your acount will be refunded with N2000 very soon. sorry for the inconienience."


That is how I got my money back for reducing my night plan from 2G to 667MB and wiping out 1.5G day plan without even using it! All withing one week of twitter war

Earlier before this, I subscribed for BB N1000, and for two weeks I could not even open a page. I lodged complaint but as usual, they said the fault is not from them. I bombarded them on twitter, distrupting their tweets and tweeting back at those who lodged complains. two days later, they sent me message that my 1k has been refunded and no other explanation!

Going to their office and playing gentle guy won't help you.

Go mad with them. But you must have your facts and be sure of your information because the truth is you cant deceive them. They have all the facts!

I think the thing is random, on Saturday I subscribed the 3.5GB on my iPad and same on my phone... I use my iPad mostly....my phone is just majorly for Whatsapp and emails that's all....all activities are on my iPad....just yesterday I noticed the phone was not browsing again..... I thought it was network but the iPad was browsing so I checked the data and behold 0mb remaining I screamed and checked that of the iPad and I still have 2.3GB and I did Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, browsing N all on the iPad.


I just did the 10gb last night again..... Monitoring it for proper review. Both sim are on pulse

I am experiencing the same at the moment.subscribed for the 3.5gb at 2000 last week.still had 2.9g data as at the last time I checked on Sunday. I have not been able to browse since yesterday afternoon. thought it was network issues.

I thought I was the only one in this sh!t... I was so amazed to see how my data ran out after a few hours browsing. MTN is a disgrace and their customer care should not even exist. They have never been able to resolve any problem I couldn't solve on my own. I'm so disappointed.

1. Why will MTN charge data usage on bonus airtime when you have already bought data, why not reserve it for calls only like other network, because nobody sees how they charge on data. The same beta talk you can't even transfer airtime to a friend In distress because MTN gave you bonus. The bonus they charge 50/min, those people are serious scam in this country. Even the regular call charges are programed to fluctuate from normal to high charges without millions of customers noticing it. COOPERATE THEFT that what they are.

But I did my own on the 6th of May 3.5gb for 2000 and am still using it till date its very fast on a 3G network and it doesn't sap quickly like that of Airtel . I don't know what you guys are talking about @OP am confused unless you used a plan meant for BB phone . Am using it on my Infinix smart phone and its very nice .
