SonofDevil: If u don't knw how to read or interprete what u read just ask ur father or elders. What I simply said is - if cost of generating fuel is too much at the rate of 145 for them, they will lay off staff and all these rejoicing over FG action will gradually feel the repercussion of this happiness. I never said they gotting it lesser. |

One of the reasons most people who stood against fuel subsidy removal during GEJs tenure & now accepting it, is simply INFORMATION. When GEJ removed subsidy early JAN, it came impromptu. People had little or no knowledge what subsidy meant, only to start the year with a higher pump price. Unlike Now. In this last 5years, people are better informed, they'v felt the pains of the Oil marketers toying with their emotions. Infact lemme say, people have learnt the hardway (by experience) how subsidy payment has made oil marketers wosky these past months. The only grouse people have with buharis govt isn't because they don't know subsidy payment is not working. Its because Our leader openly declared THERE WAS NO SUBSIDY. And as a former minister of petroleum, his words were believed HOOK LINE SINKER...Now, he has removed what he said doesn't exist. That's some crazy shii. 1 Like |

calliope: There are several other ways workers in sane climes air their disagreements with the govt, not by threatening strike actions even over the flimsiest of issues. I think the NLC had its cup full this time around. They met their match. They have refused to see reasons. They just want to stay relevant and line their pockets, as obtained during GEJ and OBJ eras. That's no more! |

shame shame!!! wat a blind nd ignorant citizens we av in dis country, notin gud can b done witout sentiment in dis country, wen GEJ came wit dsame idea, dsame pple currently in power sponsored a violent protest across d country, at least there was sureP to ease the effect bt dsame tin subsidy has bin removed without any option of relief, off course the ripple effect is inevitable, even the excess crude moni dt Okonjo Iweala suggested to b saved for raining days so dat Nigerians could get some financial backup, d den governors forum led by Ameachi opposed nd fought d then government nd later had their way to share d 11b dollars across d States, David Cameron was perfectly right wen he said Nigeria was fantastically corrupt, it's high tym we stopped dis party difference nd opposition nd c the betterment of dis country as everyone's responsibility. I didn't see any where it was stated that an injunction was issued by the court restraining the NLC from.embarking on its strike. The headline is just different from the content. |

Buhari has never respected court orders before so... The price of everything in Nigeria has risen so much and there is no increase in workers salary or new created jobs. In Nigeria today 5pieces of tomatoes goes for 400naira and the government without pitty on the plight of the masses just carelessly increased the fuel price to all time high of 145naira, it shows the insensitivity of the government to the sufferings of the masses. The economy of Nigeria is currently in its worst form including insecurity and no electricity. All of these simply shows that the government is clueless and inexperienced about the way out of the increasing problems facing Nigeria today. 2 Likes |

tolexy007:. All i expect u to say is dat GEJ saw d right thing to do but ws affraid to take d decision. He was advice by d economist in chief to remove d scam but Diezani who ws one of d chief beneficiaries warned him dat she would deal with him if he tried it. GEJ out of fear soft-pedaled. Now that the oil marketers sponsored-labour re threatening to take to d street, let their threats make PMB change his decision. That is what we call a man with principle. GEJ is a scam himself. |

I am expecting NLC leaders to defy court order afterall PMB don't obey court orders Nigeria. If Labour fail to go strike tomorrow then the hope of the people are finished by a tyrant. PMB is running a military democracy. let us see how this will end. I just want to make "serious sense" 1 Like |

#Copied i seen these people as true activists of poor masses when they absolutely kicked against the removal of fuel subsidy e.g Professor Wole Soyinka, Tunde Bakare,David West, Funmi Iyanda,Ayo Sogunro, Ikhide Ikheloa,Dino Melaye, Tolu Ogunlesi,Nasir El-Rufai , Ibe Kachikwu,Bola Tinubu etc including ACN and CPC . Muhammadu Buhari : Before he became President, he fiercely maintained that fuel subsidy ''does not exist'' but few days ago his government just removed a non- existent fuel. They occupied Nigeria in 2012 Mr Lia Mohammad was canvassing Nigerians in 2012 that fuel subsidy was a scam.Nigerians were convinced to believe that there is nothing called fuel subsidy and Mr GEJ was not bold enough to stand on his feet. If truly fuel subsidy needed to be removed, we don't need politics of antagonism simply because of power. If fuel subsidy is removed by APC or PDP that is not the issue, the issue is just the level of sincerity in it.Today they are seeing people against the removal of fuel subsidy as wailers.Politicians should know that you can't sow hatred and heap Love. What goes around, comes around. That is the Laws of Karma .They said there was nothing called fuel subsidy in 2012,today there is something called fuel subsidy and must be removed. The moral lessons are these, remember that the actions you are taking today may stand against you tomorrow and don't conceal the fact because of hatred but speak the truth because of love. God bless Nigeria Nice one solexy you nailed it |

Kx:Before you jump up and start typing what you don't know, labour unions have the RIGHT to strike, a statutory provision backs this right but the scale NLC and TUC were aiming for shouldn't be allowed. "engagement and negotiations" we are in Nigeria o, force is what people understand. 2 Likes |

Eruditor: One can also say that the present govt created scarcity of dollar etc to remove subsidy. They tell u it's deregulation of the downstream sector and not subsidy. Nothing can justify such action. Also, be logical for once and stop being insultive. |

Myopic buhari supporters don't even know when they shoo themselves in the foot. You do not realise this lousy judgement is the beginning of the end of ALL forms of protests. Same way when uvplan to kick out this govt(which most likely will happen) will be met with fierce silencing by the govt. Anyways keeping fingers crossed. I warned about protesting againdt subsidy removal and occupying ojotah in 2012 now ppl r gvn lousy excuses of mistrusting the govt (wondering why a mistrusted govt would be allowed to continue a subsidy regime)and now were four years behind etc. I'm tired of being lumped with these ppl. Dragging us into holes with them |
