Thanks. It sure helps. I also heard one could actually buy a return ticket for infant. its always way cheaper. since you just get to pay 10%. e.g if one way is 4k and you pay 10% for infant, return could be 2k and you pay 10%. baby doesnt have to use it. I am just yet to confirm how to do it. you could follow up to and lets see how it works. we get to save alot with that. swappylove: |

@blaize777 Reading your last post and Nef's response just brought tears to my eyes and I said a prayer for you. God will perfect what He has started in your life in Jesus Name. Evemama's message was encouraging and I also believe prophesying and making positive confessions helped. Do you have a breast pump? And maybe you can try what she did feeding baby yourself sometimes (if they allow you). It is well dear. So thankful your mum is around |

Dear blaize777 I'm not happy reading your recent posts (bolded below+the other where you said your tears have run out)! So perhaps you need some hard truths (I realise we are Nigerians anyway, na strong word na im dey enter us pass soft words) Are you a FTM? Yes? Then I think I understand where you're coming from ). But then... True story: When I had my first child, i had chicken pox in week 39, had to be induced in week 42. Then he was distressed in the womb, passed meconium inside my womb, apgar score of 3 or so. On coming out he was diagnosed with some nonsense congenital ish, and given 3 months to live. As a FTM I was inconsolable, rolling on the floor crying, asking myself who have I offended, who hates me this much? Why must mine be different? Long story short, because I would not let go and let God, I ended up with a partial stroke. That's what my depression got me o. So I became a casualty. Q- Was I able to help my kid then? A- Even an onuku knows the answer to that... I was barred from breastfeeding, even from holding the child. I added to the problem on ground. But after all this my eye opened (spiritually tho, physically I was a mess... I looked like a freak sideshow!) What did I do after that, I had to painstakingly cast my mind back to how good God had been to me in the past... All the strong things He had brought me through... You know when bible said "And David encouraged himself in the Lord " that was me right there. You know what I did? I would pick the child up, look sternly at baby and start speaking... -I carried you in my womb, this womb (slapping my stomach! ) for 9 months -Those 9 months were not for nothing oh. -I am your mother! You must listen to me and heed my voice -You shall not die, must not die, you're not permitted to die! - You will live. -Rise up and respond to treatment Can't remember all the things I told this child biko. Pickin jus' dey look me. I was declaring like mad... you know ministering angels don't respond to tears, they respond to errands you send them on. I was dishing out orders concerning my baby and myself. This child given 3 months to live is a big kid now, the next blink he'll be ready for secondary school... I still order him around, I just even ordered a batch of koboko for him the other day My sister, be of good courage. I still maintain there is NOTHING God cannot do. He's just waiting for you to touch heaven with your faith. I remember when I went through mine, I had periods of doubt and I would still say "Lord I believe you, but the circumstances are fighting my faith, Pls help my unbelief!" All this I just spoke about happened here in Lagos oh! Where equipment nor dey, not to talk of better doctors. But God sent help... E come be you wey dey Yankee! Remember that Some people are back home who wish they had the opportunity to rack up NICU bills to save a life, but God chose you to get the visa. Maybe that visa was issued for "such a time as this" according to Mordecai. So why am I writing this epistle? So you will brace yourself. Your matter will be resolved. Start figuring out where to organise koboko for when li'l mama will grow into lil drama queen They always do! Frank Edwards song says: My God is still changing lives He's still alive doing good He is the source of your strengthhhhh My God is still changing lives Changing livesss. .. (somebody help me sing jor! ) E-hugs! Make I go check if this strike still dey happen today... blaize777: 93 Likes 6 Shares |

blaize777:The lord is your strength I'm sure they gave you a pump at the hospital - they usually do to mothers with babies in Nicu. Pls try and pump on a schedule of 2 hours for now, it will really help your baby Don't worry we stand together and declare by faith that you won't leave the USA empty handed, like everyone has said look up to God, it will end well As for bills, don't stress too much about it, after discount ask for a payment plan, I'm sure they will agree to something favorable / manageable for you and your pocket 9 Likes 1 Share |

Hello people. Thanks for the wonderful work you guys are doing here. The benefits derived cannot be quantified. God bless you all. My people, permit me to tender my case. Even though I've read a large portion of this thread from part 1 to 4, I crave una indulgence to ask these questions. Myself and family ( DW and 2 kids) got a B1/B2 visa to visit USA in 2014. We were invited by a friend, we got the visa and we all visited him in Washington as scheduled. Our Visas were to expire in April 2016 and we did a renewal by Dropbox in March 2016 and we were all granted. The old visa that had a month to go was cancelled without prejudice. I used the same address of my friend in Washington. However, I failed to declare during the renewal that DW was 3 weeks pregnant. Believe me, I didn't know I had to as I thought it wasn't necessary, given that there was no column on the form to state such (I was not an ardent follower of this thread then). Now, we are planning to birth in Chicago (thanks to reviews on this site. POE will definitely be JFK or elsewhere. Lol) and I intend to write "Change of intent" letter to the embassy. DW will travel by October ending, when she's 8 months gone, while I join her later with the kids. We are yet to get a hospital and a doctor, though I'm working on that already ( thanks again to this forum) My questions; (1) At what point do I write "Change of intent " letter to the embassy? Is it after I have gotten a doctor and hospital? (2 ) How do I couch the letter to show that DW didn't lie about her pregnancy for the renewal? We did Dropbox and there was no opportunity to be asked if she was preggy or not. I'm obviously concerned about the possibility that we could be caught on misrepresentation for not declaring her status during renewal, which may attract visa cancellation. Make una reason with me abeg. God bless us all.... |

Hello house,Pls my friend needs your help. This is her story below: Hello everyone, I had my interview yesterday now I was rejected. This would be my 3rd interview so far in 2016. The first time in Jan 2016,I had just got recently married and wanted to go for my honeymoon but was rejected. (Pls note my husband has a valid visa) The 2nd interview in Feb 2016, i still maintained that I was going for a vacation with my husband and I told them our budget, how much I earned and my husband's income. However I was denied again. I am currently 22weeks pregnant and i got that information after the second interview.I applied again (my husby paid the full hospital fee and Doctor fee which was 6850USD), I had my doctor correspondence along with confirmation of reciept of payment), budget sheet, statement of account, medical report. The transcript thus; Me: Good morning Sir VO; good morning , your passport please ( handed over my passport) VO; why are you going to the US? Me; I am going to deliver my baby (I started giving him my medical history), the fact that I currently have a history diabetes in pregnancy , I lost 2 of my elder sister - 1 died during childbirth and the other was a preterm, hence my husband being a doctor and knowing that the prenatal mortality rate in Nigeria is poor, we decided it's best to go to the US in order to have access to Better healthcare facility for me and our baby. ( while I was saying this he was already going through my doctor correspondent, receipt and my budget sheet in which I followed phema budget but made changes to suite my needs) VO; so I can see that you were denied visa twice , what has changed? Me: we just got married in Jan and we wanted to go for our honey moon in Hawaii in which was denied due to insufficient fund, however now I am pregnant and my medical condition of being diabetic is the reason why I am here for this interview. Vo; sorry madam I am afraid I will have to disqualify you again bla bla bla Me; please what is the reason ? VO; sorry madam I will advice you give birth in uk or India Me; excuse me sir , I deserve to know the reason as we have already paid the full medical fee VO: sorry madam the hospital will refund you your money , I advice you deliver in the uk or India Please what are my options now and where do you think I went wrong?(I'm thinking of reapplying or seeking a petition) PLEASE HELP VERY URGENT |

Thanks girl. I still look at the old "gruesome" pics and videos with joy and grateful smiles. Blaize777 will pass through this and testify. She will not leave Yankee empty handed. That was not the plan (hers or God's) Let's keep really lifting her (and other cases we know of on this thread) in prayers. That's why we're a group, though faceless. If we continue to lift each other up, I can guarantee that when we finally meet each other up in real life, there will be screaming and hugging and joyful tears... like long-lost sisters. Lawyer123 please don't reapply this is just the 5th month in this year and you have applied three times already, just allow time to pass. Obviously the. V.o's can sense desperation and there's also not change in circumstances between the first, second and third time you applied. Paying hospital bills ahead doesn't guarantee your visa approval o. You need to actually wait this out and let there be a significant change in your circumstances before reapplying later, but your husband has a valid visa an you are his wife now, i'm sure they do have their reasons though also I hope there has been no inconsistencies in your previous application? Did you apply even before January this year. |

Nnystc:Your post brought tears to my eyes. You're indeed a strong woman. Hugs dear @ blaize777, as you can read, most mothers have passed thru worse situation and have shared how they managed it bills & all. You just have to be strong for your lil one. I also remember when my lil one was kept in the nursery for a night cos they said the bilirubin level was high (jaundice). Me wey no be first time even 2nd time mum. And I never go house without my pikin before. I almost display craze for them in that hospital o. Went home, couldn't sleep, called the nursery na so so cry I dey hear for fone, asked the nurse say who dey cry, she talk say na my pikin. Na so my night vigil start o, i cried to God all night, declared his word, his promises, by 5am, i woke my sister and told her let's go to the hospital and I will bring my child home today. Get ready cos I won't leave there without my baby. Don't know where I got that confidence from o. Got to hospital, paediatrician wasn't around yet till 9am, the nurse said the level was still high and they had to keep monitoring him I just tell am "yimu" say me I dey go house with am today o. To cut the story, doctor come I no even see am next thing Dem bring my pikin to me say he has been discharged but make I dey carry am go paediatrician till him condition normalize. If you see the speed I take zap comot for there like Usain bolt eh... Summary is that there is nothing God Almighty cannot do. You just have to declare His Word don't let depression set in pls. 6 Likes |

papiroza:People always use this as an excuse, is the ds 160 form not the same for dropbox renewal? Why didn't you fill in B2(medical purpose), doctors address as contact person/org etc Anyway you have your visa, no need for intent change cos you may be called and your visa cancelled. The change of intent letter has lost its steam cos of abuse. Just get your doctor/hospital correspondence, get an appointment with your doctor, if possible make advance payments, keep the receipts, hold enuf $$$ and you're good to go. Then never make the mistake of going thru Chicago cos sorry will be ya last name. 5 Likes 1 Share |

@Blaize777, God would perfect all that concerns u in no distant time but you only need to believe and trust HIM. He's no asleep and he works at his own pace but I believe it shall be great testimony at the end. Worry not about the bills for now and focus on being strong and vibrant in anticipation for the time LO leaves the NICU. Highest highest if need be on d long run, reach out and I believe a lot of people here would be willing to help irrespective of the hard times. Some people are never tired of giving for in giving we receive. Nne be happy and declare that it's well with u and urs. We would be praying for you and urs. 2 Likes |
