Do you 90% of accident on the road are caused by blow-out?

You can find the right psi for your vehicle on the driver door..

Do you even know there's limit to what pressure you put in your car's tire?

The pressure pumped inside tire are measure in pounds per square inch (psi)?

Do you know that the maximum inflation pressure is indicated in a relatively small-sized print branded near the tire's bead (adjacent to the wheel).

Many lives have been lost due to the errors of our road side Vulcanizers in Nigeria, who pumped whatever they just dim fit into our tires.

Do you know the life-span of every tire is just 4 years?

WHAT IS THE RIGHT PSI TO AVOID BLOW-OUT:

Usually, your tire’s maximum tire pressure is somewhere between 30 and 35 PSI but here in Nigeria it seems all the road side vulcanizer's agreed pressure is 50 and sometimes 60 and that is about 70 to 75% increased psi.

Again you must have heard that if your tire is pumped to the maximum it performs best and reduce fuel comsumption! yes that's very correct...so i will still recommend increasing your pressure from the FEH recommended 35psi by not more than 10% meaning 110% pressure.
Here's how 1.10 x 35 = 38.5psi or max 40psi which is 14.2% increase in pressure.

What you didnt mention is the fact that on most cars, the word "COLD" is written above or after the rated psi.

What the cold means is that the rated psi is at cold temperatures. This is because air pressure of the tire increases when the tire temperature rises. By driving, because of friction, heat from asphalt, brakes and ambient heat, tire temperature would rise considerably. Therefore it is best to pump air to recommended pressure in the morning before driving off or not far from the house/take off point before the tire temperature rises.

1. 90% accident ain't caused by blow up but by reckless driving.

2. 30-35 psi will neva be cool for Nigeria Drivers who uses their vehicle for overloading (bad anyway)

Actually, best practice is to use the tyre pressure recommended by your car manufacturer and not the tyre manufacturer as they sometimes differ.

Because the same tyre can be used in different cars with differing weights and therefore bear different loads, you should use the manufacturer's recommendation.

This can be found on the inside of your glove box compartment an on the "B" pillar of the car when you open the driver side front door.

Educative...

Who will sanitize and explain dis stuffs to roadside vulcanizers...

Cause dey need dis...

They always put 40 PSI on everyones tires... no matter the size of d tire angry

1. This thread is about tires not accident in general
2. Every tire has a load limit and a maximum pressure limit. Overloading is one rule breaker, adding pressure beyond the limit is signing one's death warrant.

I cant say which one is more dangerous between overloading and over pressure, combining the 2 is certainly more dangerous.

One othe fact is that under pressure is even more dangerous to over pressure. Thats because under pressure increases the surface area in contact with the asphalt which means higher tire temperature and higher risk of blowout

My car manual gave me 35psi
But checking d tyres of d car I saw max 51psi
I think the best notion is to check what's on d tyre of d vehicle especially if one has had a change of tyres before after car purchase.
