@lawyer please who do u want to write the petition to? Biko let me know o!

The truth is that you/your friend has been blacklisted. It is very rare to see a spouse being denied repeatedly unless the said spouse has done somthing terrible. Go back to the drawing board. Look at all three applications . Honestly analyse it. Did u guys misrepresent? Even in a minute way.
You have to realise that you are not an American so as no be ya papa land, you have no rights or expectations from them. If them say dey no go gee u visa, darrizit! If them kuku gee u visa and say u can't enter the place, darrizit.

People always use this as an excuse, is the ds 160 form not the same for dropbox renewal? Why didn't you fill in B2(medical purpose), doctors address as contact person/org etc

Anyway you have your visa, no need for intent change cos you may be called and your visa cancelled. The change of intent letter has lost its steam cos of abuse.

Just get your doctor/hospital correspondence, get an appointment with your doctor, if possible make advance payments, keep the receipts, hold enuf $$$ and you're good to go. Then never make the mistake of going thru Chicago cos sorry will be ya last name.
I appreciate your response. However, I want to believe you missed or didn't comprehend the part that I said I didn't know it was wrong not to mention DW's pregnant status when I re-applied, as I wasn't an ardent follower of this thread by then. May be u also didn't understand that B1/B2 Visa, though classified as Business/ tourist, also covers medical treatment ( see the attached screen shot from US Visa website). I also clearly stated that I don't have a doctor and hospital yet. And yes, I will avoid Chicago and Houston POE, while also ensuring I have enough cash at hand (I guess u didn't see that part as well). Your emphasis on me making an excuse is absolutely needless and unnecessary. Thanks for sharing your thoughts once again

Lol cheesy if you knew b1/B2 covers medical why asking to write a change of intent letter? I read and understood your initial post and yes in the form, B1/B2 is further broken down into separate spaces. When you tick b1/B2, another box opens up to indicate if it is strictly B1 or B2 I guess you missed the memo.

Done with this.

I'm not happy reading your recent posts (bolded below+the other where you said your tears have run out)!
You know when bible said "And David encouraged himself in the Lord " that was me right there.
You know what I did? I would pick the child up, look sternly at baby and start speaking

I was declaring like mad...

This child given 3 months to live is a big kid now, the next blink he'll be ready for secondary school... I still order him around, I just even ordered a batch of koboko for him the other day grin

My sister, be of good courage. I still maintain there is NOTHING God cannot do. He's just waiting for you to touch heaven with your faith.

Thank you so much for this!!! And thank God for your mighty testimony o. God bless you sis xx

I feel like sharing a story I heard a while ago... This strike is truly making me joobless grin

One sister married to one big oga decided to go to US. With her bobo on the side. So she and Bobo side filled married and all what noot and appeared together. But Big oga's God was not at a party that day, He was very much around working. Na so dem deny the Sister and her bobo side application.
A few months later, big Oga say make em and e wifey go US for vacay. Them reach embassy. The Vo ask am 'are you sure this is your wife?'
Ah ah, which levels na? This is my wife.
Na em the vo turn computer show am picture and details. Na em oga just waka leave the place. That was the end of solomon grandy.

What I took from the story is that Nigerians are yet to understand the concept of records and consequences to actions. We often think we can wish away our past misdeeds or miracles will wipe them off.

Thank you o jare. Like I said, I now follow this thread religiously. I'm just a little confused on how to write the letter change of intent. On this forum, I've read testimonies of people who fail to write the letter and still scaled through at POE. I've also read about those who wrote and got a generic response, stipulating that entering the USA is purely at the discretion of the CBP and immigration at the POE. In similar vein, some have written and got their visas cancelled. Hope u understand my dilemma. I don't have any reason to lie during the renewal and frankly didn't understand the differences in these visas. That's my fault anyways. Letter or not, so long I desire to have my kid in US, it will happen. The covenant I have with God is that He will grant all my wishes. Thanks for wishing me safe trip.

The Constitution supercedes the MCA or MA. It is trite law that where there is inconsistency between the Constitution and any other enacted law, the Costitution supercedes.

chloe7:
read the MCA and MA very well or any material you have on legitimacy and stop saying it has been abolished , even though sec 42 has come to play, legitimacy and legitimation still stands , if you are actually in practice then you will know there is still a term called legitimacy and legitimation, where there is conflict of laws one must prevail, LadyGuinivere na my Oga she will shed more light

Dear NL,

Thank you for your contributions on this forum!
Reporting from In town suites, El paso. I would like to share my POE experience.
Arrived Houston via London yesterday at 2.15pm (Lufthansa/united airline). The queue was very long, stood for almost 2 hrs. There were very few CBPs on duty and just before it got to my turn, 3 of them closed ( I was happy though because their faces were not too friendly). na so this middle-aged man resume duty, the traffic Marshall directed me to his desk.

CBP : Hello
Me: Hello sir, handed my passport and landing card to him
CBP: Why are you going to El Paso?
Me: Vacation and to have my baby (said this with all confidence, looking straight into his eyes)
CBP: To have what?
Me: my baby
CBP: OK, you are here for child birth?
Me: Yes
CBP: where will you be staying?
Me: In town suites
CBP: place your right four fingers on scanner, remove your glasses and look at the camera please
Me: I did
CBP: when is EDD
Me: in 4weeks
CBP: How much money do you have?
Me: I have paid obstetrician's fee and I have 8170 $ cash with me.
CBP: Nodded
CBP: Do you have any food ?
Me:Yes, I have got garii (paused)
CBP: What else
Me: yam flour
CBP: stamps me in for 6 months
To God be the glory, all this took less than 5minutes, he didn't even sight the money, no secondary inspection, no agric check.

BTW, I applied for the visa last year may for purpose of vacation. went with my family on vacation in august, spent a month. I conceived in September (failed fam planning method), so I decided to birth in the USA since I have a valid B2 visa. I didn't write change of intent cos i had already used the visa for its intended purpose.
PS..honesty and prayers really helped.

Chilling and waiting for my appointment this morning.

i'm not in the mood for arguing today but i'll only like to make somethings clear, because you can't just come up and say legitimacy and legitimation has been abolished shocked

English common law placed harsh penalties on an illegitimate child denying the child inheritance and property right, modern law has given the illegitimate child more right but still differentiates between legitimate and illegitimate children

the concept of legitimation, aims at restoring rights that the illegitimate children have been wrongfully deprived of. The 1999 constitution did not expressly provide for legitimation, but it can be inferred from the right to freedom from discrimination, which provides that: ‘No citizen of Nigeria shall be subjected to any disabilities or deprivation merely by reason or the circumstance of his birth'

I rest my case lipsrsealed

So perhaps you need some hard truths (I realise we are Nigerians anyway, na strong word na im dey enter us pass soft words)
Are you a FTM? Yes? Then I think I understand where you're coming from ). But then...
True story:
When I had my first child, i had chicken pox in week 39, had to be induced in week 42. Then he was distressed in the womb, passed meconium inside my womb, apgar score of 3 or so. On coming out he was diagnosed with some nonsense congenital ish, and given 3 months to live. As a FTM I was inconsolable, rolling on the floor crying, asking myself who have I offended, who hates me this much? Why must mine be different?
Long story short, because I would not let go and let God, I ended up with a partial stroke. That's what my depression got me o. So I became a casualty.

Q- Was I able to help my kid then?
A- Even an onuku knows the answer to that...

I was barred from breastfeeding, even from holding the child. I added to the problem on ground.

But after all this my eye opened (spiritually tho, physically I was a mess... I looked like a freak sideshow!)

What did I do after that, I had to painstakingly cast my mind back to how good God had been to me in the past... All the strong things He had brought me through...
You know when bible said "And David encouraged himself in the Lord " that was me right there.
You know what I did? I would pick the child up, look sternly at baby and start speaking...
-I carried you in my womb, this womb (slapping my stomach! cheesy) for 9 months
-Those 9 months were not for nothing oh.
-I am your mother! You must listen to me and heed my voice
-You shall not die, must not die, you're not permitted to die!
- You will live.
-Rise up and respond to treatment
Can't remember all the things I told this child biko. Pickin jus' dey look me....

My dear it is well. Trust God! See what nnystc told you? That's the pure truth! UNADULTERATED. Babies pick up on their mum's stress AND they respond to it. Even your breast milk will change according to your stress levels and it will affect the baby. So dont stress biko. Throw all your burdens on HIM who has the power and willingness to carry it. All will work out for thanksgiving.

All this I just spoke about happened here in Lagos oh! Where equipment nor dey, not to talk of better doctors. But God sent help...

E come be you wey dey Yankee!
Remember that Some people are back home who wish they had the opportunity to rack up NICU bills to save a life, but God chose you to get the visa. Maybe that visa was issued for "such a time as this" according to Mordecai.

So why am I writing this epistle? So you will brace yourself.
Your matter will be resolved.

Start figuring out where to organise koboko for when li'l mama will grow into lil drama queen grin They always do!

Sorry to hear about what your going through but be strong. Is your Breast milk flowing if not you need to stimulate it using a Breast pump as LO ll need it as soon as she is able to feed on her own. You can hire a Medela hospital grade pump from the lactation services in hospital or Google "medical supply stores" close to you. You only need to buy the parts that of the other parts which cost about $30 on Amazon. They ll explain better to you if you do agree to hire before you get your own pump. Cos electric pumps r really expensive. Be strong, God is always faithful
