lakesidepapa:It should be recognized in the US. The other question will be about the type of jobs you can get with that degree. |

CFCman:Yes I hope so, Transportation and Logistics Management is all about management and administrative aspects in all means of transportation but mostly focus on Shipping. With the Certificate and as a fresher, I hope i can get a job at a Shipping coy or any other transportation coy in US |

lakesidepapa:It may depend on your discipline, but certain professions in the US don't require degrees from certain schools or certain countries. I know a lot of Nigerians in the US making good money in the IT fields with just their experience, degree from anywhere in the world (even Nigerian BSC or HND) and sometimes certifications. I have also seen people who studied non-IT courses in Nigeria switch to IT as soon as they get to the US. Jobs are indeed just too much in that field. What matters is what you have in your head and your experience, not necessarily where you went to school. I think that's more common in Nigeria. Though, not everyone is destined to be IT professionals, but it may be worth you investing some of your time to learn a piece of it if you intend travelling to the US or Europe. You can switch to what you like afterwards, but it's easy to get in, pay your bills etc while studying and working in the field. I'm not sure about your environmental course in the US, I don't know anyone working in the field. Hope that helps. All the best bro. 4 Likes 1 Share |

SmartMugu: Thanks for these hints bro, I'm an IT guru and i knw a lot about programming(programming expert) but i have a big passion for Transport and Logistics Management, why I prefer to practice the profession in US is because US and some very nice countries with huge economic mostly depends on EXPORT and import and am very sure there will be tons of shipping coy and other transportation coy in US. Meanwhile, I also have a 3yrs working experience with a shipping coy in Nigeria and the brain is still loading up as i use to runs thing at the port of hamburg during my free time. I just hope the US will have something more special to offer. 3 Likes 1 Share |

lakesidepapa: More to the point, you need to have permission to work there, which is a whole other issue. You might want to consider countries like Canada (and perhaps Denmark, NZ, Aus., etc) that have well defined immigration programs for professionals. In other words, do your research, and do it well. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

RichYoungNigga: Havnt been everywhere in America-but I have visited at least 10 states. This place is the best in the world o! My research (and I have done a lot of research) showed me that most if not all Americans who are considered poor are poor by choice. And even what is considered poor in America is well to do in 90% of the world. A poor American gets the following: i) Up to $800 or more welfare like food coupons ii) Subsidized housing. I meet a girl who is paying $100 for an apartment that is normally $800. All the government asks of her is to pay her electricity bill and not fight. iii) Almost Free health care . By just going to the emergency room-hospitals must treat anyone and bill later. Bills that they may never pay. iv) 24 hours power supply (that is gold in Nigeria). v) 24 hours pipe borne water. vi) Constant security provided by the best Police Forces in the world. All you have to do is call 911-no need to bribe or beg oga police. Many who are poor choose to remain like that so that they can collect free benefits. If they decide to work-they will loose these benefits. Many of them also keep having children so they can claim benefits. If you have a goal or dream to be wealthy and successful-of course that is not the life one would choose. But for many-there only dream is to become rap stars-not knowing that for every Lil Wayne-there are 20,000 others who are just rapping on the street-no album, no deals, no money for their rap. All the places you have mentioned have more infrastructure and facilities than VGC and Ikoyi (24 Hour light and water), good roads, security. How can that be bad? 44 Likes 3 Shares |

samuelkingz:You could get entry-level jobs in the marketing department of some corporations and medium-sized firms as a PR professional. From entry-level, you could rise to become a supervisor, manager etc. |
