Nigerians need to understand how these oil blocks ownership works. Shell, Eni, Chevron, Exxon, BP, Total and many others don't own oil blocks as much as they used to 20-30 yrs ago, due to geopolitical uncertainties...to be able to abandon and leave if Something happens without incurring huge losses, o they now prefer to lease these oil block FROM NIGERIAN OWNERS...they explore, drill and produce on it. They pay percentage of profit plus lease to these block OWNERS.

Is that now a justified reason for the abokis to have over 80% ownership of the God given resources of the Niger Delta ?

Not justifying...just explaining how they make billions from it from leasing solely. They don't even develop it by themselves....just milking free cash with no operational costs.

Jonathan was waiting for the expiration of the exiting contract due for renewal from 2016, the wise northerners have to do everything humanly possible to ensure Jonathan does not preside over the Oil Blocks License renewal where justice would have been done.

Have you asked why Alhaji Buhary kept the Minister of Petroleum to himself ? It's a game plan. We are aware of it and they shall fail Insha'Allah.

Btw: I am from the SW.

God bless Nigeria.

These are some of the intrigues that pushed GEJ out of Aso rock cause there was fear that when those licences expires he might not renew them because of the background he was coming from.

This news is stale, because gbenga kaka is no longer the senator representing Ogun east.

Over 60% of northerners are the owner of the oil well now while during jonathans tenure it wasn't like that, it was evenly distributed - is this not corruption?

I hope the senator will not be arrested by EFCC for corruption now oh!
That is the way our president fights corruption.
