If the Targaryens are resistant to heat and fires why does the heat of the molten gold kill Viserys Targaryen ( Daenery's brother in season 1)? Thought the trait runs in their blood.

That's why damy so he wasn't he true Dragon. Fire can't hurt a Dragon.

Nigga got a golden cap.

The way I see it, there are some targs who were called dragons and they were immune to fire.

Targs call themselves dragons all the time, same goes for every house with a beast on its sigil.

The mistake here is assuming Dany is being literal, or has any idea what she's really saying. Viserys was no 'true dragon' character wise. Hence why Rhaegar was referred to as the last 'dragon', character. Targaryens no matter what are not immune to fire. Let's just say Dany is a special case. No Targ is inherently fireproof
Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Gbola5(m): 7:02pm On May 20, 2016
Here's a quote to show that Viserys loved the heat just as well as Dany.
They filled her bath with hot water brought up from the kitchen and scented it with fragrant oils. The girl pulled the rough cotton tunic over Dany’s head and helped her into the tub. The water was scalding hot, but Daenerys did not flinch or cry out. She liked the heat. It made her feel clean. Besides, her brother had often told her that it was never too hot for a Targaryen. “Ours is the house of the dragon,” he would say. “The fire is in our blood.”
Now a question, would Dany have survived that Golden Crown ?

There are no loopholes. Jon is breaking his vow by leaving the Night's Watch. Who would believe him South of the Wall ? The vow says, " It shall not end until my death.", but he's alive, it's like a patient on CPR. The vow also says, " I shall live and die at my post." Live and Die. It also says, " I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." All the nights to come. The episode was Oathbreaker afterall.
Jons death is to make him immune against the whitewalker. Thats the essence of the death. The whitewalker king has marked Jon and looking forward to meeting him in battle.

This theory that his death makes him immune to white walkers is propable oo..Where in the book is it written?..Even in the show..His body don turn dragon glass?

So why did Dany claim Viserys was no dragon after he was killed by drogo? According to her, fire cannot kill a dragon. Does it mean Viserys was no targ? Also, there were always emphasis on reagher being the last dragon.

This thread is a show only thread. The show comes first but you can back it up with book knowledge. When the show and the book contradicts, then the show is the law.

They have a tolerance. It is stated that some Targs loved their baths extremely hot and all. But they're not immune, they will die by fire. Which is why that scene with Dany didnt make any sense.
Sorry bro. In the show, she is immune to fire. Can you just put the books in another corner? This is Game of Thrones

Enough with this Targs talk abeg. This is the show and not the books.
We have read the books and are waiting for the rest. But we would like to enjoy the show and what it offers while at it. So please, for the sake of our collective sanity, if you're not bringing up the book to flesh out or give more depth to something in the show that wasn't properly explained (and by this I do not mean deviations) then I'm taking that post down and giving you a leave of absence until the next episode airs. Hopefully you'll have something fresh to discuss then.

Crown vs HS had better b this episode. I don't watch episode previews so that I don't spoil it.

Jon vs Ramsey (bastardbowl) is probably going to be episode 8 or 9. That's if they follow the trend of previous seasons

I get your point of subjectivity but you should take note of the calibre of people talking.Ned, Jaime and even Ser Barristan are excellent fighters in their own right so their opinions on swordsmanship should be taken seriously.Remember the tower of joy scene when the three-eyed raven was showing the battle between Ned and Arthur to Bran, he told Bran that Arthur Dayne was FAR better than his father. The three-eyed raven apparently sees and knows everything so he should be right.I dare to say anyone who was FAR better than Ned Stark would be better than Drogo unless you want to also claim that Drogo was far better than Ned.

Gbola5 won't just accept that danny is impervious to fire. We all read the books and enjoyed it. Now its time for the show. The show said she is immune. What else can we do but accept. Its not confusing, its just the way it is.

Why.. ?!
Because the directors say so!
The show is an adaptation of the book so they don't need our permission to change anything. Focus on the show and swallow everything they give u. Thats the best way to enjoy it. Na dem get am, cause they have the right to the book. If you don't like this adaptation, you can create your own spinoff. Sure AIT would love to air. Till then let's just enjoy the show. #dannyisfvckingimmune #teamtyrion

Ermmmm....no
If he dies and remains dead, he can be ressurected as a wright. So there is no immunity or whatever against the white walkers. Chikena!

Now, you take fiction way serious than necessary. You may have your phd in G.R.R Martins books, good for you but the tv show is what the tv writers deem it to be.
You can do lots of 'ifs'. If John Snow was beheaded, could he be resurrected? If the khals attacked the dany before the fire got them? If Sansa and Theon didnt survive the fall? If Jaime didnt lose his sword hand? Etc.
Book is book, tv is tv, in S06 never the twain shall meet.

He won't accept because she actually isn't. GRRM was asked and he said that what happened with Dany at Drogo's funeral pyre was a one-off event, a miracle of sorts. The events of the last episode, which I believe your conclusion is based on were also spectacular and as such can also be attributed to the miraculous. We have just not seen enough on the show to confer fire immunity upon the mother of dragons.

Yes she is in the show
. We have seen more than enough to draw that conclusion.

Out of all the Targaryens on the show, she is the only one who came out of heat/fire unscathed 4 different times. You would be in denial to still be fighting this.

GRRM spoke about the books when he said that or he lied. afterall, D&grin also said Jon wasn't coming back.

Fire/heat or waterver cannot hurt the unburnt. Simple

Okay, let us have a mature conversation. Give me concrete reasons why you think she isn't (show only but you can back it up with book).

No need to get testy. The showrunners might decide to deviate but an episode is not enough for me to conclude. If it is for you, then by all means, please conclude.
