Let us see where the money to clean the land from the massive pollution will come from.

Let us see where the money to treat the children who will drink from polluted water will come from.

So, it's a case of either ND allow you lots to finish her oil before you let her go, or she self destructs before you look elsewhere to survive.

Nigeria must restructure along the lines of true federalism or it risks a violent disintegration.

The lazy Northern Oligarchs won't continue to steal and eat fat on our Niger Delta resources.

This lazy and fake feeding bottle system must give way.

I warned many months ago that a new group would emerge from the Creeks that will blend violence with intellectualism and the dynamics will change forever.

The free oil money flowing to those corrupt, dirty and brutish Northern Oligarchs will soon cease.

This system is collapsing; plan your exit strategy already.

Candy.rain, good to see you.

Good morning boss, good to see u too. How have u been?

Negotiating with Militants who are blowing up mere pipelines is a grave mistake. But negotiating with Boko Haram who have been blowing up churches, mosques and even humans is right? Some people think with with their anus.

The oil multinational companies are involved in this economic sabotage, otherwise what is their justification for almost totally shutting down their operation?

We need to sack them and run the upstream operations ourselves.

lol. My brother I had a year session with the NNPC in 2010. I tell you, Nigeria can't afford it.

No be beans. Besides, that would not even stop the bombings. It would even allow for better conditions for the NDA to operate.

You just don't get it.

These guys are wagging asymmetric warfare against fixed assets. They are not seeking to gain and hold territory. The terrain is harsh. Just the other day some soldiers died when their boat capsized and as many people have testified, the vast majority of Nigerian servicemen in both the Army and Navy can't even swim. Can you imagine a country where Navy personal can't swim!!

The militants therefore have all the advantages. They are in the control of the 'battle field' as it where, as they can pick the time and place of their attacks and then vanish back to their bases. The harsh environment is their friend (Just like the hills and mountains are to the Afghan Taliban). Obasanjo tried with all his might to crush them and could not, and the same the fate will befall Buhari unless he sits down and negotiates with them. I don't support them, but I follow Military history keenly and I can tell you I've never seen a nation state defeat an insurgency that has all the advantages that these guys have. Eventually they ALWAYS end up negotiating.

Yawns
Of course that's the only success a united Nigeria has been holding for 56 long years, brutally killing the people of the old eastern region.

Sadly the nation has not improved one bit after the victory over the ibos, poverty and unemployment, insecurity and corruption has totally ground the nation to a halt.

That's why we are on this thread.

Next intelligent person abeg!

These militants are only repaying the North for denying Jonathan's government a peaceful reign in power. They aim to cripple Buhari's ability to perform economically. In the end this federal govt will be too financially weak to be able to execute most of its economically beneficial plans and projects. A dangerous cycle has begun! Brace up people, things will never remain the same again save by Divine intervention.
They should continue repaying the north, and you should continue supporting them. In the next 50 years, North East will never be the same it was used to be. The same fate, much worse due to oil pollution awaits ND.

Many of them don't even aware of this. I have seen their children bathing in oil polluted river. I have seen their communities dwellers suffering from different ailments as a result of effect of gas flaring. Now, it is going to be worse. Oil is a curse to this nation, the earlier it dries up the better.

The Bible said:

When a wicked man rules a nation, the people suffer!

Buhari might have good intention to change things in Nigeria for good, but his major problems are:

1. He is very wicked!

2. Buhari is vengeful; never forgives...and vengeful people hardly succeed.

3. Buhari is a pure tribalist!

4. Buhari is very stiff and stubborn! This is not military era, you don't govern a nation with iron hands, you govern modern humans with effective policies not with guns and bombs!

5. Buhari's past seem to be haunting him

Lastly, Buhari is not a lucky man...maybe because of his other qualities that always attract badluck to him.

Maybe things would have been better is Osinbajo was the president, who knows
