You can say that to the marines....I guess the 87% is thrown to the lagoon and the money that will be used for the Lagos Kaduna/Kano railine will come from cocoa and groundout. The money that turned Abuja and Lagos to what it is came from amala and tomatoes. Keep deceiving yourself
You are ignorant as to how the derivation formula works

You talk as if the north was developed to the detriment of the ND. Have u ever been to the north?? Portharcourt is talking of railway, akwaibom boasts the best hospital in africa, best stadium in w/africa etc. What does the north have?? My point is naive kids like u are misled to think its govt thats the problem of ND. The problem of ND remains the privileged few who have hijacked the commonwealth of the people, whether north or south or east. These privileged few are still the ones blowing up pipeline. Dont think for a second that NDA are doing this because they love u. Its for their own pocket. And its so easy to deceive people who are already disgruntled by reason of politics or tribal affiliation. Wake up and think!

The same privileged few you give a meager 13% with 87% going up North and the west (lagos) You question us for that in one voice and with the other contradict yourself with the infrastructural development in AkwaIbom and Porth harcourt. True federalism or nothing. Let the states control their redources so that we can hold our state responsible and not the false union giving us 13% and holding 87% back.
with what you just typed, it shows that you don't know anything about the 13% additional value to the oil producing state. So instead of me wasting time trying to explain to you, I will advise you to go read and make research on it. Thank you

They will rather call you names than to sit down and make findings. Asari Dokubo is a living example, he always claims to love his people and the region yet he took his wealth to Benin Republic for investment. Many like that here in Lagos with powerful buildings.

While I hold no brief for the Asari dokubo guy and think he is one of the few that have accumulated so much wealth both through legal and illegal means from the Niger delta problem, you guys talk as if it is a crime to invest outside the country or he is the first Nigerian to do so.The dude actually has other businesses here in Nigeria and from what I hear sponsors a lot of children in school, and other services. However self serving, every act of kindness is a service to humanity.I don't know if you guys expect him to build the roads in the region.

You dont understand the ripple effect...
Bayelsa states has been unable to meet up its salaries obligation for some time now for reasons only the state government can explain because it ought not to owe salaries, now immagine the money coming into the federal govt becomes smaller, meaning the money going to Bayelsa state too reduces.
How in the world do you now expect Bayelsa to pay salaries? Children from Bayelsa would go hungry, elderly men would go hungry, poverty leads to a rise in petty crime.
Look at the bigger picture, The north is not the problem
From inception of Nigeria, they have been living in perpetual poverty even thou most of our leaders are from there. How do you explain this?
Simple.
Leeaders feom North, South, west and east are the problem. The remain friends no matter the false ethnic or religious stupidity that divides the common man. They loot with careless abandunment and dont even ask questions of tribe or religion when the money is shared.
Its time for us to hold our leaders accountable and stop this silly idea of blowing up pipelines and infecting our environment. Why dont we go blow up the government lodge of our governors to send a message that we shall not continue to be mislead and maltreated.

This is the bane of the country we leave in, were sincerity in governance is ruse! how does this government I say again justify the pump price of PMS at #145 across board. When NNPC is locally refining crude! the petrol that comes on stream from this process does that requires ''dollar'' to get it to designated outlets and the sold at 145 Ibe! Ibe!! Ibe!!!! more pertinent questions to ask over this 145/liter thing but rest my case ooooo! All I know is that some day you in authority will be held accountable some how.

Stop preaching. ..yes let the darkness and fuel unavailability continue. Better we all suffer than for the lazy North and corrupt minds from the west feeding fat and the owners of the oil living in abject poverty
Okay o, so the North and West are draining the oil or stealing them abi? Destroy oil facilities in the ND and let's see who suffers. The likes of you and I, or the already wealthy Niger Deltans, wealthy Northerners or wealthy westerners. Please reason like a higher animal or fcku off this thread!!

Some effects of Niger Delta Terrorism:

-Near zero revenue to Nigeria
-Inability of government to cater for the poor
-Big and small businesses fold up as a result of lack of power, fuel and high cost
-Rising rate of unemployment
-Millions of Nigerians die of poverty, more devastating than the effects of Boko Haram
-Poverty will drive millions of Nigerians into criminality that could lead to further deaths of millions of Nigerians
-The rich will also cry from insecurity

Is PMB's government the architect of the present and very unfortunate predicament of the Niger Delta?Where will the government get funds to address their plight if national assets are already destroyed?

By the way are these criminals really fighting for the Niger Delta or for their pockets?

Nigerians think,say no to Terrorism!

I dont think you are very smart. Sorry to say. You misunderstand the meaning of 13% derivation. 87%doesnt go anywhere. Rather ND oil-producing states enjoy an additional 13% over every other state in the federation. North gets nothing! You really should read your constitution or at least use google

It's not true that the north gets nothing. These people are very crafty, they wrote the constitution. Whatever little you think they lost in 13% derivation, they gained, even more through outrageous local governments. Do you have any idea how many LGAs northern states parade? Kano alone has 42, and all these LGAs are funded by the FG. Should we talk about the percentage of oil blocks owned by the northerners Now I'm getting emotional
