This NLC strike should be shelfed ohh, if not it would give them another reason for this unending wait. #WeWait
But personal reasons aside, would this impending strike be favourable for our Nigerian economy?
NLC is only after their own pockets. I have lost all faith in them sef considering how they slyed us during Occupy Nigeria. angry

Strike isn't going to help anybody at this point. Deep down, most of us know that the stance the FG took is inevitable if we are true to ourselves. Some people have been buying over N145 since the unending scarcity started and these marketers go still collect subsidy on top o.

errrmmm....you just should remove your mind from the June date sha. cry

If I remove my mind from June, i'll put it in May grin. I choose to see only positives in the current situation. Right now, the government claims to be eager to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians. So i'm assuming that they'll probably tell all government agencies to start creating jobs and employing people sharp-sharp.

Please somebody should help us and beg all these Niger Delta Avengers (NDAs) to stop vandalising the pipelines, that it is not good, that it is a sin.
They should also tell them that it is in Marvel Studios that The Avengers use to do all those stunts. They should know that they are all film tricks.

Thank you.

NLNG una see una life? Now I'm being offered an opportunity to attend a prestigious and world renowned institution (as far as my field is concerned) and I'm still dreaming of NLNG and waiting on them to tell me my fate. If I knew for sure, I would pass on this opportunity. But since I don't, obviously I can't not pursue this with all diligence in case I don't make it. I know the verdict is almost out according to the oracles but I don't think it will be out in time for me to make my decision simple and straightforward. By anything a week into June I imagine I won't be able to back out of this opportunity without implications which I would really like to avoid. The same June we're waiting for (unless NLNG calls very early June or even earlier). So you see the "move on with your life and answer whenever NLNG calls" advice won't work so well here. Some would say this is a good kind of dilemma to be in. But it is still a dilemma.

Leave no stone unturned to secure that other opportunity. It's what I meant each time I said that NLNG is only a means to an end and not the end itself. If along the line they decide to call then you can choose which path to follow. It's a shame this recruitment had to take this awful route.

My advice to NLNG is to send out mails informing everyone left of their fate as far as this GT recruitment is concerned. Many would not mind hearing they have secured the job but will resume in Q30(pardon my sarcasm). Personally if such applied to me na to take long vacation outside the shores of this shithole of a country and come back as soon as work wants to resume. With the uncertainty that trails dis wait however liver no go gree me embark on such adventures.

Please friend, dont allow this oppotunity to pass by without grasping it. If this oppotunity is about further study and you are eventually invited by NLNG you can liase with the NLNG Management to allow you complete your studies before resuming. I know someone who was in this kind of situation but was given the opportunity to resume after his studies.

I wish you all the best.

Good stuff.

When life presents you with an opportunity, you can do three things.
1. The right thing
2. The wrong thing
3. Nothing

Of these three options, the worst is to DO NOTHING.

I was in such a situation when I won a scholarship for Masters Degree abroad and we were still waiting for an assessment centre date. I accepted the scholarship, bought a return ticket to Nigeria for the AC when it was time, now I'm back with a Masters Degree still waiting for the final AC feedback.

In my opinion, even if you travel for your studies and receive an invite for medicals or appointment , you may either ask the company to defer your appointment till you graduate or you defer your study at that point.

Any way, something gets deferred but nothing gets rejected.
