madridguy: While I hold no brief for the Asari dokubo guy and think he is one of the few that have accumulated so much wealth both through legal and illegal means from the Niger delta problem, you guys talk as if it is a crime to invest outside the country or he is the first Nigerian to do so.The dude actually has other businesses here in Nigeria and from what I hear sponsors a lot of children in school, and other services. However self serving, every act of kindness is a service to humanity.I don't know if you guys expect him to build the roads in the region. |

No matter how legitimate the demands are,how on earth will a Nigerian be happy that his country is being destroyed? And is PMB's government the architect of the present and very unfortunate predicament of the Niger Delta? I weep for Nigeria...... By GOD's grace,LONG LIVE THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA! 1 Like |

pendusky:You dont understand the ripple effect... Bayelsa states has been unable to meet up its salaries obligation for some time now for reasons only the state government can explain because it ought not to owe salaries, now immagine the money coming into the federal govt becomes smaller, meaning the money going to Bayelsa state too reduces. How in the world do you now expect Bayelsa to pay salaries? Children from Bayelsa would go hungry, elderly men would go hungry, poverty leads to a rise in petty crime. Look at the bigger picture, The north is not the problem From inception of Nigeria, they have been living in perpetual poverty even thou most of our leaders are from there. How do you explain this? Simple. Leeaders feom North, South, west and east are the problem. The remain friends no matter the false ethnic or religious stupidity that divides the common man. They loot with careless abandunment and dont even ask questions of tribe or religion when the money is shared. Its time for us to hold our leaders accountable and stop this silly idea of blowing up pipelines and infecting our environment. Why dont we go blow up the government lodge of our governors to send a message that we shall not continue to be mislead and maltreated. 3 Likes |

This is the bane of the country we leave in, were sincerity in governance is ruse! how does this government I say again justify the pump price of PMS at #145 across board. When NNPC is locally refining crude! the petrol that comes on stream from this process does that requires ''dollar'' to get it to designated outlets and the sold at 145 Ibe! Ibe!! Ibe!!!! more pertinent questions to ask over this 145/liter thing but rest my case ooooo! All I know is that some day you in authority will be held accountable some how. |

Some effects of Niger Delta Terrorism: -Near zero revenue to Nigeria -Inability of government to cater for the poor -Big and small businesses fold up as a result of lack of power, fuel and high cost -Rising rate of unemployment -Millions of Nigerians die of poverty, more devastating than the effects of Boko Haram -Poverty will drive millions of Nigerians into criminality that could lead to further deaths of millions of Nigerians -The rich will also cry from insecurity Is PMB's government the architect of the present and very unfortunate predicament of the Niger Delta?Where will the government get funds to address their plight if national assets are already destroyed? By the way are these criminals really fighting for the Niger Delta or for their pockets? Nigerians think, say no to Terrorism! LONG LIVE THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA 1 Like |

blackpanda: It's not true that the north gets nothing. These people are very crafty, they wrote the constitution. Whatever little you think they lost in 13% derivation, they gained, even more through outrageous local governments. Do you have any idea how many LGAs northern states parade? Kano alone has 42, and all these LGAs are funded by the FG. Should we talk about the percentage of oil blocks owned by the northerners Now I'm getting emotional |
