With my own little knowledge, the policy on foreign exchange is still unclear to foreign investors, so they will most likely move away from the stock market and go to the medium to short term bonds due to stable and higher yields.. And this in simple words translates to a bear market for the short term. Only the bold and extremely technical analyst can trade tomorrow. |

https://www.thecable.ng/breaking-recession-imminent-says-cbn The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) monetary policy committee (MPC) says the recession of the Nigerian economy is “imminent”, maintaining status quo on the monetary policy rates. Speaking on the state of the economy, Godwin Emefiele, the central bank governor, said: “The conditions that led to the contractions in the first quarter of 2016 were still largely unresolved. The recession which was signalled in July 2015, now appears imminent.” |

Darlingtonr1: Be WARNED, NEWBIES. This is how it starts...THEN someone wounds.. Darlingtonr1, here we buy only 'KGs' of STOCKS, measured simply in UNITS... ..Like some people did with FIRSTBANK today ( NOT A BUY RECOMMENDATION). Here, we care less about the product's details like packaging size, taste, colour or even if they are still in the market. We need NOBODY's contact details, NOT even DANGOTE'S CONTACT... ...ASK those brave BNSITL ( I am sure you don't know what I mean... ) here who ventured into TIGERBRANDS for confirmation. Here, delivery is also INSTANT.... ..Ask our MORGAN TEAM here... . ADVICE: We Know DANGCEM, TIGERBRANDS, DANGSUGAR, NASCON...but WE do not know what you are talking about... . Sorry, but you never reach the right BUS STOP, KEEP MOVING>>>>>>..... ....And NEWBIES, KEEP WATCHING... . 2 Likes |

http://nationalmirroronline.net/new/retention-of-mpr-at-12-ll-boost-stock-investment/ The adoption of a flexible foreign exchange rate regime and retention of Monetary Policy Rate, MPR, at 12 per cent will boost investment in stocks, analysts have said. The Managing Director of APT Securities Limited, Alhaji Garba Kurufi noted that considering current inflation rate of 13.72 per cent, investors will prefer investment in stocks than money market instruments. Also, analysts at FSDH Merchant Bank Limited noted that trading in equities advanced on the Nigerian Stock Exchange yesterday on the retention of MPR at 12 per cent. The appreciation recorded in the share prices of ETI, TRANSCORP, Access Bank, Nigerian Breweries and Dangote Cement were mainly responsible for the gain recorded. Vitafoam Plc led the gainers’ table with 30 kobo or 6.98 per cent to close at N4.60 per share, followed by NAHCO Plc with 22 kobo or 4.82 per cent to close at N4.78 per share. Fidson Healthcare Plc appreciated 10 kobo or 4.76 per cent to close at N2.20 per share, |
