Houston will bounce you without appointment cos a confirmation number is given to you wen u place the call for appointment and you will present that number there.

I'm sure it's cos holidays are by the corner so the passport agency is busy

I gave birth in Doctors Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Wonderful hospital and wonderful Doctor. I used Dr. Cheeks. Doctor's bill is 2300 (this has to be paid on your first appointment) plus scan but without lab tests, he won't accept your Naija tests. Hospital bill is 3150 uncomplicated VD without epidural and circumcision. Circumcision is 400, not sure how much epidural is cos I didn't use it.

Hope this helps.

quote author=oluwajenny post=45908453]Good evening to all the mummies and the mummies to be,

I have been reading your post on this thread for awhile, I wish I found this particular thread early b4 having my first child and while I was heading to the U.S. to have my second, coz I had to cough out almost 10k in Maryland .

I need your help on my third, I am in third trimester, I will be about 36 weeks by the time I get to the U.S.

I am heading to Albany Georgia, I have search for OB Gyn's contact and all there prices are crazy, the least I got was for 3085usd.

I don't know if we have anybody in the forum that gave birth in Albany Georgia and can give me a cheap Dr's referral.

I will be glad if I get a swift response,

Thank U.

@Justwise thanks for all the info on this topic. You are really on point. I have a question, does the consent letter have to be notarized? I just had my baby, I need to know ASAP so hubby can do that and DHL to me.

Thanks

The answer is no.

Congratulations!

A quick information, any body booking united or delta airline between july5th and july 25th 2016 should quickly check travelstart, just saw a very cheap flight there this morning at 183,832 naira and 244,552 naira respectively. both are return tickets.

Odiegwu. Attempt to fill in details and pay and the price will double. I called United airline today and they only accept dollars to their GTB dom account. Please if anyone succeeds tho' let me know

Hi every one .... Has any momma used pampers swaddler a for thier babies? How was it .

It depends on your baby
I used pampers swaddlers from NB to size 1..Il rate it very good, it's absorbancy is excellent but my baby had diaper rash so I switched to huggies little snugglers which suited her skin...I attempted using pampers swaddlers again in size 3 and the diaper rashes reappeared again so I just abandoned it
IMO, pampers swaddlers absorbs well but huggies is softer and absorbancy is also good
From size 3..I used huggies little movers not snug and dry, which I will rate excellent...it absorbs VERY well, it VERY soft and it has large wings which prevents leakage

Il rate Huggies Little Movers higher than pampers cruisers

The swaddlers are actually best for little babies who haven't started moving much. When baby gets older the little movers or cruisers are better.

In my opinion pampers swaddlers are okay for newborns but from 6 months and above I'd definitely go for huggies. Infact with this baby I started with huggies from the start it provides more protection than pampers in my experience. Same way I prefer Dr brown for training pants, cheaper and equally effective.

Be warned.

CassyO I guess there is only one passport agency in dallas.am not talking about collection center.
I applied in the agency and then went back the next day to collect the passport.some people even got same day.its on commerce street in downtown Dallas and u need an appointment to go there.
U call them, book an appointment.to qualify u must have only 2weeks to travel date or 4 weeks if u are going to apply for visa.
I think Leakytribe was talking about a collection center.
May be wrong though

It's not a collection center I'm talking about. I applied in this same office for my first child. The passport would be mailed to you. It's an application center and to the best of my knowledge no one picks their passports from there. You get the passport in about 7 to 10 days (depending on the application you make) in your mailbox.

Hi Damidamsel, God bless you, bless your little one, bless your going and coming.
Thank God for keeping you both, Kisses to your LO.

damidamsel:
WOW!!! Seems like ystday when i began reading this thread like someone prepping 4 jamb exam, getting all necessary docs 4 burden of proof and tying all loose ends ...evn my mama was like "u were so OCD wit ur preps, u were driving me nuts" grin. To God be the glory, i left the US for Naija wt my one month old pretty princess on 19th May.

THE JOURNEY: Birthed at Crozer-Chester in Philly, got extra bills like $304 for pap smear (which was the only prenat test i did), $321 for neonatology doctor in hospital, $239 for hearing test and $192 for NonStress test and Ultrasound breathing test which my baby failed. My obgyn (a wonderful Nigerian-American lady that i ended up with despite that i initially called the office to sign up with an Indian doctor that i had read peopl's review of) helped in cutting down d lab and neonat fee, i got abt 50% discount for hearing test and i paid off $192 for NST.

I was induced same day baby failed NST as they wouldn't let me go back home (Obgyn said not to worry as bills for induction had been taken care of). Wasn't evn prepared. Had to call mum and sisters to bring in hospital bag and stuffs. Was told induction process could last 2days but to God b d glory, the whole process to childbirth was 12hrs. Thank God i was induced as my baby had passed mecomium in the womb. Despite my plan not to have epidural....omo when d pain reach one level, i requested for it ooo but sincerely as someone rightly said "its d next best thing after sliced bread" LOL

Got baby's BC and SSN card one week after delivery. Went to passport office for baby's blue kpali and got it in 3hrs. Na to kon get Naija visa yawa almost gas. Sent in baby's passport n docs for 24hr processing at one week to travel date. Na so agent submit am for processing and traveled. Couldnt reach the agent again, Nigerian house in ATL refused to pick their calls and i had not rcvd baby's passport back at 3days to our trip. Long story short, rcvd passport 2days to trip.

Flew Delta....Added baby for just $63. Had to gt ticket for my sisters to fly back with me....glad i did as i couldn't have handled the trip alone wt my luggages and the whole stress and baby not getting the travel cot from delta.

Missionary journey over!!!! But walahi....i no sure say i go ready for another till 2019 ooo...as a FTM, it was a bit tough. Thank God for family around but despite, i went down 2 dress sizes during this experience ( which i no mind sha as v bn trying to loose weight)

Still reading this thread daily....as addicted as a person to crack. Lol. Thanks to all for the valuable and immeasurable info given on here. END OF EPISTLE!!!!
