/ The best option at this time is to laugh. Reno Omokri and Reuben Abati are paper giants. It is sad to note that there inks went dry and their eagle eye analytical skills disappeared when Jonathan was managing Nigeria with his pal, the bottled intoxicant. They have finally found their voices. There is something about access to Aso Rock that numbs the brain. The brains of the occupants usually open after their mouth is removed from the nipples of "lootocracy". \ 1 Like |

Powerful writeup!..with hard facts too..APC has been busy pointing fingers for a full year..President Buhari is still displaying that sturbonness and hard-headedness military head of states were known for in this current democratic dispensation..Always feeling he knows more about Nigerian economy than others cuz he used to be a head of state back then...if so,why appoint special advicers on particular issues?..when ur not gonna take their opinions in critical issues concerning the country?...Simple truth is that APC didnt plan for after victory..They just wanted to snatch power from PDP.. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Truth be told he has given a through analysis of this whole thing, though corruption was high in the past Govt. Let the agencies responsible fight that, and other MDAS go ahead with Governance, not all Ministry's putting blames and not working to the uplifting of the nation and economy. 2 Likes |

Reno made some good points but his duplicitous omission of the fact that Nigeria overtaking South Africas economy in 2013 was due to a rebasing of GDP from $270bln to $510bln, which was a purely academic exercise. He duplicitously tries to pass that off as an achievement of the GEJ govt so his submission must be taken with a pinch of salt. 1 Like |

But then ask yourself, what was the entire security budget for the five years that Jonathan was President of Nigeria? In 2011, defense and security had a budget of ₦348 billion or just over $2 billion. In 2012 it skyrocketed to ₦921 billion or $5.7 billion. It grew to ₦1.055 trillion in 2013 or $6 billion. In 2014, ₦968 billion was budgeted for defence and security or $5.8 billion. The 2015 budget was passed in April and President Jonathan handed over to President Buhari a month later so I cannot see how the previous administration could have ‘chopped’ that money. This is where I will respond to. My dear Reno, my question is after the budget, was Nigeria still making money from oil transactions and other businesses? I your answer is yes, i wish to know where all the money that was accrued to d country was saved. Another question is this; how much did nigeria make cummulatively over those years u tried to refer and how muc was saved? One pertinent question again is this of all those ppl arrested and detained, how many of them have come out to refute the allegations against them. None of them if my record is telling me the truth. Dasuki has given u the record of how they shared the money at the behest of GEJ and u still come out to display ur wailing rascality. Quite a pity because i know u well participated in d yam eating salaka. When ur time is up we shall hear less frm u. Ask Metu, Dasuki and FFK. Just be ready to vomit ur own yam. The day of reckoning is coming. Shameless thieves. 2 Likes |

y do people keep talking of looted funds? this is no longer an excuse because in reality people with less income achieve greater than the ones with high income. the question remains what has he achieved with the little he met other than squandering them on irrelevant tours and sharing them with his sponsors and finally resort to blackmail of past administration to blindfold his fellow northern zombies. yorubas should stop these games and face the reality cos even if he met the whole reaches records has shown that they would have been mismanaged. 3 Likes |

wordychap: And that is part of the problem in Nigeria. When they should be logical and put that logic into action, they prefer to fall on their knees and "hope" things get better. The solution is there. All you need to do is accept that the average Nigerian is the problem. Then and only then will the process of true change begin. The Nigerian mindset is thoroughly phucked up and until you all collectively accept this fact, the country will continue down the rabbit hole. 2 Likes 1 Share |

As a staunch supporter of Buhari, I agree with Reno on some points on this write-up. Buhari is supposed to be the chief ambassador of this country and should be promoting and marketing his country positively. We are in a competitive world with scarce resources. Investors are critically reviewing their decision and considering where best to put their money. However, the recent comments made by the president is rather very regrettable. I also agree with Reno on Buhari not being aware of the economic situation in the country. Do his issues with the media devoid him of seeing the reality on the ground or are his cabinets hiding the truth from him? I read Adesina interview where he denied that Nigerians are not faring well under Buhari. Certainly, it shows that there is a communication gap between the president and his aides in informing him of the actual situation in the country. This economic situation in the country continues to evidence further, that the President and his team never had any concrete plan on managing and positioning the Nigerian economy to be the hub in Africa. However, I disagree with Reno on anti-corruption practices of the President. The President is not the judiciary which, unfortunately, it also perceived to be corrupt. I also disagree with Reno on Nigeria's economy being the best during his Boss' tenure. Actually, Nigeria's economy was at its best during Obasanjo's tenure and Jonathan's administration witnessed tremendous mismanagement of economic resources, even when Nigeria was earning its highest revenue from Oil since independence. Overall, the President must find time to peruse from other sources of information, especially from critics, if he intends to gain a fair view of the actual situation in the country. The President must also at this time review the performance of his aides, especially his ministers, as some of them are virtually absence in performing their functions. Also, the President must swallow his pride and consider expert advice on the best way to improve the economic situation of the country. Finally, whilst we appreciate the undiluted honesty of the President, he must realise the at some certain points, the truth is better not said or rather said with some scepticism. May God save and restore Nigeria. 4 Likes 1 Share |

wordychap: That's the problem with us in Africa , offering prayers to leaders who have shown so much disdain and indifference to the plights of their subjects.Yes, we're required to pray for leaders but there are times people should hit the roads with placards. Imagine if the Israelites had chosen to pray for Pharaoh in their plights instead of taking their destinies in their own hands. President Buhari has shown how indifferent he's to the cry of Nigerians that voted him to power and it's high time they began to voice out very loudly. 2 Likes |

They call big figures and idiots clap their hand so hard to celebrate the IDIOSY of those who tells the lies, and those who accept the lies as truth. If the entire Aecurity budget was $19Billion for a duration of 5yrs, and one sacred fools comes to tell me that the past govt stole $15billion, Excuse me sir, was it your donation the govt had been using to pay salary for the duration of 5years, plus all the mine-sweeper armoured tanks and atrack aircraft bought?? They tell you they recovered $700m from Deziani's bedroom but when you say bring out the money, na story story. please be a realist, not an idealist, no govt will lead without stealing, quote! Yes. so enough of this "past govt hogwash. Since the day they came to power, they never stopped selling crude, never stop collecting tax, neither did they stop receiving duties and revenue. So whats the badadash about money........Give Buhari all the money in this world, if he doesnt get his act together, he will fail. . . . . . . . . . . To a bad worker, every tool is bad.. 6 Likes |
