Steps> 1. Do your PAR @ NZ$138 2. Fill the EOI When your application is successful you will be asked for the IQA 3. IQA will cost you NZ$746 On approval, you will dispatch your passport to INZ for stamping the visa to be issued. Abeg, is this correct? |

Nwaonyeocha: I doubt if it will be possible to run a full explanation on how to fill the SMC-EOI online cos of the nature of the application. The point is to start wherever you find difficult at any stage then you can ask questions here for possible answers. Have you started the online EOI application already? Anyway, here are few tips. Create an account via this https://onlineservices.immigration.govt.nz/secure/Login+Skilled+Migrant.htm When that is done, start filling the application.Make sure the wrong information indentifer is checked.you can check it top leftside of the app page. Fill in your details accordingly, for every page you completed successfully and validated a yes will appear adjacent to the completed section Note:any information marked asterix is compulsory of course the indicator will indentify any compulsory field you didn't see or fail to supply the appropriate information. when you get to the recognised qualification section. that's where you will have your qualification assessed preliminary using the information you fill in about your qualification. click on the link for NZQA to explore the link for that. At the NZQA portal you create and account and follow the registration prompt.when that is done then access your account to apply for PAR After you are through with filling all the required information you will be required to pay for the assessment at the end of the 4th page/section. After 20 working days the outcome will be email to you Return to your online app to fill the REF number of the PAR and your qualification equivalent. You can fill the entire online form before you do the PAR or You have it done before you proceed on the next section of the application Point will be awarded base on age, recognised qualification & years of work experience base on your job.If your job is listed in LTSS list bonus point will be awarded if you get an offer of skilled employement. If successfull in the entire process, the authorities will commence verification of all your claims before an ITA is issued Thereafter, you will be compel to do the main assessement i.e IQA which cost $746 flat with return courier package you add $44 if it does n't increase Like I said if you encounter difficulty at any stage feel free to ask questions. 1 Like |

Something is funny about Nigerians and travelling. If a country is not in hot demand, they will never go for its Visa. However, travelling to some countries are the lee ways of having access to the big ones. Some 10 years ago Canada and Australia was not popular today the reverse is the case. I see NZ getting tougher soonest. 3 Likes |

I need a voice on this issue - How easy is it for someone to use a different job knowledge to apply for Skilled Worker Visa and latter change his or her profession when in NZ? |

Did the self assessment and got 125points. Seems English Test (ielts) is not mandatory. This is a big plus 1 Like |

40manlappy: check if your occupation is listed in the long term skill shortage.if it is listed then check the qualification requirements and no of years experience required in col. 3 & 4 to be eligible for bonus points. You might likely qualify to apply but if your occupation is not among the LTSL then you can't claim bonus point |

Re: New Zealand Skilled Worker Category by hartson: 4:13pm On Jun 05, 2016 |
Jetspeed: Good you got 125 in the self assessment but sometimes the score you had in the self assessment reduces when you begin to fill the main EOI online app. The good thing about NZ EOI is that IELTS Academic or General Training 6.5 or more for PA and 5.5 for spouse is acceptable. is not that it is not compulsory,it is more likely to enhance your chances as evidence of english ability than providing english knowledge testimonial. They stated that whatever you may provide as proof of language ability, they will still demand for IELTS result you earn no point for language ability. |

Nwaonyeocha: Huh!!! you can choose to hop from one job to another after undergoing few months basic training or learn a trade when in NZ, the big issue is to get the SMC visa first with whatever job knowlegde you have. Except you are in regulated profession that requires licence to operate. Somebody that read marketing with few years marketing experience went to US did 3 months certificate course in computer programming then another 3 months advance computer programming today he is a top notch IT guru.so there are no limitations one you are there except you are licenced. 1 Like |
