It was not.

Just as there was no Bayelsa nor Delta states, nor any of those other states when oil was found there.

You are very wrong Ondo State was never an Oil Producing State, the Oil you are reffering to belongs to Delta State.

Niger Delta republic is fully welcomed by Ndiigbo, as long as free referendum be conducted in all Igbo speaking territories of current SS Post secession to decide if they would reunite with the rest of Igbo speaking nation in SE or remain with their good non Igbo neighbors in ND republic.

Anything that will lead to the collapse of Lugard contraption is highly welcomed.

Reserves dictates oil production. You produce only from what you have. In Nigeria, large reserve states generate the larger proportion of oil.
And ondo is a very minor oil producer because she never really had oil. All her known oil wells were the ones carved from the delta.

Ibo man and lies. Go and collect Ondo oil nah, you are pained cos they produce more oil than all your red mud republic, you have always being a pained kid anyway. Lmao

Niger Delta will be the richest country in Africa and perhaps in the world.

Watch Fulani and their yoruba collaborators flood this thread with silly distractions and pure jealousy. grin grin grin

It won't. It will be as phucked as the country we know as Nigeria. Why? Because of the mentality. Having oil and knowing what to do with it are two different things. Right now you are fighting the Government for control of it. Once you get it, you'll be fighting yourselves for it again. No be Nigeria?

Go and read about Equatorial Guinea.

BTW, Nigeria's total oil reserves (heavy and light oil) is put at about 76 billion barrels; Ondo state alone owns roughly 40 billion barrels of those.

You will argue still, because getting facts across to 'sincerely ignorant' people is like baptizing a cat.

Ondo wetin has over 50% of Nigerian oil reserve.

Your lie can win grammy award sha. Ondo in which country, certainly not my 9ja.

Ignorance is a disease. Nigeria's proven oil reserve is about 37 billion barrels.

The genesis of the problem is Buhari handling of the confab resolutions. He just treated over 600 recommendations; done in a sophisticated and orderly manner and also from eminent Nigerians as trash.

STFU.
You obviousy don't realize i was trying to humour myself with you. Ondo has 40 billion in 70 billion barrels reserves of the Nigerian state?haha. That is an unforgivable blunder.
In Nigeria, reserves is directly proportional to production. It does not make sense to have all the crude and not want to earn 13% derivation on it.
Even the official govt statistics on oil reserves in Nigeria does not attach that much importance to ondo as a major reserve state because it is not. It all exists in your ewedu addled imagination.
Heavy and light crude?lol. It seems you like introducing concepts you have very little knowledge of.

What a waste!!

[i]Reserves; not production. Both words have different meanings.

And all you are talking about is 'light oil', 'cause we presently are not using our 'heavy oil' reserves which Ondo state alone has about 31 billion barrels of.

you are funny. anyway you are a layman so I won't blame you. of a truth ondo have some reserves of tar and not really crude oil. although some quantity of oil (heavy oil) can be recovered from it but it's a wild goose chase. in the petroleum industry, it's profit first. the cost of producing oil from tar is far greater than the or profit so in petroleum economic terms producing such is not economically viable. meaning it is useless. Wen the cost of producing an oil well is more than the total value of the oil in the well, such well is plugged off and abandoned.
