Three things because of time:
1. The hope of the mew republic is hinged on oil, and taking clues from what Dickson and Sylva said, if there ever going to be a Niger Delta republic or Ijaw republic, then , it might be a lawless welfarist state.

2. I don't really think the Yoruba will lose as many are postulating here. Firstly, many of d offshore oil will fall under that country beside their new discoveries. I think through international boundary adjustments many will be shocked that like the case of Bakassi, what u think are yours now may actually not be yours when international laws become applicable.
I also think the Yoruba can claim as far as Ode Itsekiri and Escravos which will give them sufficient energy resources and harness its existing infrastructures for its growth. Among d lines of division in Nigeria, the Yoruba has the best chance of survival as a country.
3. The Igbo do not need oil to survive.I believe their continued romance with Niger Delta is for d purpose of commerce through d sea, not that the Igbo country can't survive but the tendencies of accelerated progress can be more assuring when there are seaports.

People often deride the Hausa, I pity you. They are exposed to such vast land that can make a huge success.
Yoruba have the best chance of survival as a country and they are too afraid to form their own country, always calling for war on innocent people that want to leave Nigeria. The truth of the matter is that it is only Igbos and Niger Delta, can survive as a country and Yorubas and the North know that one, because once the Igbos and Niger Delta pull out from Nigeria, it is finished for Yorubas and the North, and you people know that one, if you people have the potentials to survived, why are you people always so agitated by the attempt by Igbos and ND to leave the luggard cage

This has gone beyond the level of discussion.Buhari had all the time but was mislead by his advisers about going after tompolo. Jonathan should be wise enough to stay outta this.

Remember how Jonathan drafted buhari to negotiate with boko harem and how he refused?
n some people still went ahead n made him their president

Fake note from photo shop. Stop deceiving yourself because you are not fighting for those of us from that region you are nothing but a common criminal that will be dealt with soon like the dead boko haram, where were you people when Jonathan as a president from that region and some group of thieves from that region were in government for 6yrs what did they achieve in that region, I mean what did Jonathan achieve in 6yrs in that region, the amnesty you are enjoying today was given to you by a northerner, when Jonathan was there, our people in his government were busy stealing money and stashing it abroad and buying properties all over the world and forgetting the poor masses of Niger Delta now same few criminal politicians are now sponsoring the criminality in the name of Niger Delta Avengers, animals who are you avenging. During Jonathan government, Tompolo too much money in billions, Dokobo too much money in billions, Ateke Tom too much money in billions, what help or what good have they done to the youth of the region and the community they claim they are fight for, yeye dey smell

Re: Niger Delta Avengers Unveils Currency by YourNemesis: 5:24pm On May 27, 2016
LOL..... This news will confuse the hell out of some people.
They will all claim to be happy and smiling on the outside, but on the inside, they are agitated and scared as Bleep. They are asking for referendum for Igboid groups in the SS, but we all know very well, that the Ikwerres and the Ukwales would rather see themselves in a Niger-Delta republic than in a biafra. Only Aniocha and Oshimili even have any hope of joining SE, and they are as barren as fck!..... Now how will a landlocked red mud republic compete against their arch rivals the Yorubas who already have everything they need to succeed as a nation?

The Niger-Delta republic although I wish them the best, will be plagued by ethnic strife. All the various groups there will have the knives to each other's throats. Some might even declare further independence and become micro African states like Gambia and Rwanda. At the end of the day, they will all remind us of oil rich equatorial guinea. Extremely rich on paper but just a little above average in reality.

Na North I pity pass.

Reserves; not production. Both words have different meanings.

And all you are talking about is 'light oil', 'cause we presently are not using our 'heavy oil' reserves which Ondo state alone has about 31 billion barrels of.

Oya e don do, ondo get 80billion, make Nigeria divide make we hear better word.

Make ondo carry their oil go

You are very wrong Ondo State was never an Oil Producing State, the Oil you are reffering to belongs to Delta State.

Go and read about Equatorial Guinea.

BTW, Nigeria's total oil reserves (heavy and light oil) is put at about 76 billion barrels; Ondo state alone owns roughly 40 billion barrels of those.

You will argue still, because getting facts across to 'sincerely ignorant' people is like baptizing a cat.

If I am not mistaken....that is Issac Adaka Boro.

And anyway....he is late....he died in 1968....fighting for the Army against Biafran insurgents.

As a Biafran supporter, I like this. But we must define what area is the "Niger-Delta" because I'm not sure anyone knows what that exact territory is.

Lolz, ipob's promise to niger delta is that they are free anytime to go their separate ways if they want.
But that will make you landlocked (like Lesotho) and you will forever be at the mercy of the Niger Deltans. hope you get the picture. you will be to Niger Deltans what Lesotho is to south Africa.

As far as yorubas are concern we really don't give a fvk about Nigeria breakup or breakdown. Please do it already.
