Did anybody notice that no single itshekiri name was mentioned in that epistle. They only gathered in Buhari's dinning room and called themselves Itshekri Leaders of thought (ILOT). Itsekiris are not cowards, they don't hide behind general nomenclatures. What are the names of the elders? This is purely a divide-and-conquer attempt, the fulanis are playing an Ijaw vs Itshekiri card so that oil can keep flowing to gombe. If there is a riot in gombe, will itsekiris be spared while Ijaws, Igbos, Efiks are kiiled. These children of Dan fodio even kill our yoruba muslims. Niger delta use your head. |

dimieprincess: Don't mind the bloody Yoruba outcasts. They are only found in Warri and small communities in Delta state, still they are a minority there. See them forming relevance in the Niger Delta which is bigger than Delta state. Now that Buhari has compromised to our struggle, don't they sound like imbecil.es? Their marginalization days has just being elongated. 1 Like |

Ignorance coupled with the urge to settle everything with violence is one big problem facing Nigeria.... One would think that young minds like you who parents have struggled to train will reflect hope for the future but unfortunately you sound even worse than the perpetrators of the evil we are trying to overcome. Have you ever sat down to think about the environmental hazards to our beloved land? If u stay in the creeks I'm sure you will not encourage people to blow up your home . spend a day in the waters and u will understand that you are not doing nature any good by such actions. It would take hundreds of years for the environment to regenerate itself, n den we keep on ridiculously blaming strangers for our self inflicted sufferings. Future generations will suffer for the environmental damage you are causing now. It is not about been Ijaw, urhobo, Itsekiri or isoko, our Petty squabbling is what makes us vulnerable to outsiders, while we re busy quarreling, they fuel it. A true born Niger Deltan that lives in the Niger Delta, n has lived with people from the different ethnic groups will not say all this nonsense.... So expatriates living outside the ND should stop trying to cause trouble where there is none. It is appalling that you don't even know your history and you confidently spew ignorant facts in public.... Too bad, all in a bid to sound important..... NDRepublic: |
Re: Leave Our Lands, Itsekiri Leaders Warn Niger Delta Avengers.. by NDRepublic: 10:17pm On May 27, 2016 |
mmamas: Thank God for the Internet which provides an opportunity for you to spew arrant nonsense. We have no source of livelihood anymore due to the environmental degradation over past years by oil companies aided by the conniving FG. No one took us serious since until now. If we have to spill more so be it after all the pollution has already done it's harm. When our people started this struggle peacefully, we were massacred by the Nigerian state and our leaders executed while the nation kept quiet and you dare open your mouth to talk here. Your ignorance is very pathetic. In your mind a Niger Deltan that lives in Niger Delta is tolerant to other tribes. So the Warri fracas was carried out by those outside Niger Delta. Smh On the issue of knowledge of ND and especially the creeks please even go there. I would advise you remove your profile picture before spewing trash on such delicate issue. Just an advise. I ask you. How did America get independence from great Britain. You are brainwashed and do not know anything and are no different from the Itsekiri elders who made that statement(traitors) and those leaders of the past that tried to stifle our voices with military might. We have learnt our lessons. We are in desperate times and have deployed desperate measures and most importantly it has given us results. Finally I leave you with a quote from Martin Luther King "I don't mean go out and get violent; but at the same time you should never be nonviolent unless you run into some nonviolence. I'm nonviolent with those who are nonviolent with me. But when you drop that violence on me, then you've made me go insane, and I'm not responsible for what I do." Adios |

Indeed thank God for the Internet that gives cowards the opportunity to act like warlords.... It is a simple matter of self preservation, u comfortably did not answer the question of what happens to the environment that you are adding your own destruction to? Do u burn down your house because you have an unwanted guest? You are nothing but an uninformed violent thug and ur evil will backfire on you a hundred folds.... Will destroying your environment make it suitable for farmland and aquaculture? Where were you when the Niger Delta struggle was taken seriously and intervention schemes were set up to empower the indigenes? From amnesty, to scholarships, skill acquisitions training centres, attempts at infrastructural development, setting up of the PADECS and NDDC to be managed by our own people, or are we talking about the GMoU structure that set up the different regional development Councils to be headed by grass roots stakeholders, the RDCs were given funding to manage the host communities with zero intervention from outsiders, these are just some of the intervention schemes set in place to mitigate the effects of oil exploration in the Niger Delta, civil society organizations,NGOs and foreign development agencies are also constantly setting up development projects in our areas, but we still choose to blame outsiders for our woes... Was it yoruba, igbo or hausa people that mismanaged all the funds handed over to us? Were they in charge of d PADECS, NDDC, or d RDCs? Were they the ones that ate the money meant for scholarships, housing, health care and other development projects? Were they the ones that forced you to sell employment slots to them in oil companies so you can seat at home and be forming ghost workers? Where they the ones that told you to squander the amnesty allowance? If we had maximized all that we were given in a civilized way, we would have been equipped to fight for resource control in such a way that the whole world would be on our side, now we are just acting like illiterates and no sane person will back this silly war. I dare to speak up because I was born into the Niger Delta struggle, bred in it and have I have my facts to prove whatever I say here. If you are honest with yourself, you would have started the bombings from the homes of you community leaders, and statesmen who collect money on your behalf and squander it on themselves and then turn around to brainwash you that the Nigerian government and the oil companies are the source of our suffering. Pure hogwash My dear brother do not be deceived, do not mortgage your life and your future because of lies from greedy old men whose children are far away from the struggle, they sold us out in the beginning and will still sell us out now, instead of clean up and development they will collect money and you will go down for it. People like Ken saro with, Isaac Boro and others died cos they were set up by their own brothers who had already been settled. You sound educated, so I'm wondering why you are in support of such crude and barbaric acts... The truth is that the way we are going about it is very wrong, even biafrians have foreign support, has any country supported us? We are only going to earn a massive invasion from the federal government and then more lives will be lost, d warfare of the ND cannot be compared to that of the entire Nigerian army. If we don't start loving ourselves, stop throwing accusations and claiming land, we are never going to win this war, cos the enemies use our hatred and diversity to manipulate us... Almost ever core Niger deltan has a bit of ijaw, urhobo, Itsekiri, isoko, igbo etc blood in them cos we are all brothers and sisters..... Be bold to give an instance where the government deployed force on the Niger Delta without provocation or prior attack from our boys or manipulation by our elders? If you can't then please have a rethink..... NDRepublic: 1 Like |

mmamas: I stopped reading your epistle immediately I got here. There is no point wasting time on your comment as I am very very familiar with this kind of turn and in no mood to engage in such crude uncivilized manner of arguement today. That said, you are not wrong about the violence part even though it was said maliciously and I have no apologies or regrets. Change has always been violent despite the commonly held belief that peaceful protests bring about change. This includes the struggles of Ghandi, Martin Luther or even the suffragettes, the reality is that all of these movements or causes included violence to some degree. You can march till your feet hurt. You can rally until the end of time, only violence brings change, because without it all you get is silence. Those in power are for ever using violence on anyone that steps out of line, sometimes its persuasive and sometimes its in your face but its always violent. Violence is an integral part of change. In one form or another violence must be present to cause change. Whether an aggressor/oppressor uses violent means or the resisting force fights back with violence, it is always a predominant factor in change. |

Obviously you read the entire epistle , u sound too intelligent not to have read it, u were also not so polite in your argument. I'm surprised that you actually want civility when you can't act it, major irony..... U don't deserve what you can't give.. Think about it My brother the fact still remains that you have not answered the important questions that you should have asked yourself and your people before doing this... Are we totally blameless?we have started with violence, and we are no match for the superior forces we want to battle with.... Is this the best way? I'm sorry if I have offended your person, I really do not intend to become an online fighter, but to b honest insulting a whole tribe online with false information was wrong, u as a single entity are not qualified to make such sentimental statements cos u obviously do not know them or their history. You are passing a wrong information to outsiders. I had to get involved cos of the alarming level of venom I sensed in you.... The world is too small to foster hatred and tribalism, let it go my brother.... NDRepublic: |
Re: Leave Our Lands, Itsekiri Leaders Warn Niger Delta Avengers.. by NDRepublic: 8:50am On May 28, 2016 |
mmamas: Insulting a tribe? Haha. Look very well. When elders of a tribe decide to label another as terrorists they deserve all the venom. Your ethnicity is obvious hence you are pained and believe me I speak the truth and very well a good student of history. The reality on ground is we have never loved ourselves for decades and it will continue for generations. Preaching online will not stop it. Trust me I did not have patience to read what you wrote. Maybe I will later today. You can preach about Arabs and Jews for centuries but the reality is they will forever be neighbours, inter-marry and always hate themselves. I am not asking you to act civil. Why should I? I said I am familiar with that but not in the mood for it today. Trust me that is my turf and I am not very pleasant nor very civil when it turns that way. If you may know it is your profile picture which shows you are actually a woman moreover who looks responsible at that so I need to be a bit careful. When you put an identity behind a moniker it does not really feel so anonymous and you know you are chatting with a living soul with feelings. Moreover you do not know if I visit the creeks or who sees my electronic devices so you need to remove it. Trust me I not very civil and love online fights but not today and certainly not with you. 1 Like |

Is this supposed to be a threat or what? Do you think you and your cohorts can hunt me down because of my views? Before I saw your reply I already thought it necessary to remove my profile picture for security reasons. Obviously I was right. I value my personal safety because I have first hand experience of unnecessary violence and would not want a repeat, so since it has gotten to this point, I leave you and your partners to your handiwork.... I still pray that one day you will have a change of orientation and be willing to explore other non violent approach to the struggle.... You really shouldn't be doing this my brother, for the records please I am not Itsekiri, neither do I have any affiliations with them... NDRepublic: |

macluvph1: So it is the north that informs you about who you are right? Because some bigoted elements called you nyamiri in the north you took offense. That means you have no sense of self identity. I don't care what anybody calls me, it can never affect me because I know who I am and what I've achieved. And it has nothing to do with tribe. 1 Like |

mmamas: Your views actually do not matter. Last night was busy and you were a bit distracting. You must have heard about it on our twitter page or even NL. Good thing you took my advice the first time. Like I said peace is silence, violence is noise. People only listen when you make noise. Finally no one is threatening you.In fact If you read properly I said your profile pic forced me to be a bit civil as you look responsible. There are more important things to do to get what we want than you. I speak for myself but not others hence the advise.NL is just a kind of release from the adrenaline spike while we wait. |

EasternLeopard: The so called militants befor them made similar demands, but how did it all end, AMNRSTY!! This should tell you that they were just after their pockets alone. A pple on a mission will not abandon the mission halfway for a port of porridge (amnesty). If you say they are fighting for the common good of the Niger delta, I will ask you these few questions. Whom did they consult bfor they reeled out their demands. What was the level of participation from the affected communities? Why ddnt they come out during GEJ's time which, by the way, was the best time for this their action. Why wait till Jonathan leaves office. In terms of approach and strategy, what is the difference between the avengers and their brothers befor. What stops them from asking for what they want in a more civilised manner, in line with global standards like the ogonis later did. |

Do you have to be so crude? I have left you and your madness alone, so why can't you do same? Why going through my profile, you are obviously jobless and very evil. I left you on a peaceful note and you still come back to attack me, what do u call that? Manliness or you think it shows your resourcefulness that you can actually track me? You are even a bigger simpleton than you have called me. Because i am a free honest citizen with nothing to hide, I can post whatever information I like on NL, unlike a silly coward like you that hides under a phony identity to constitute a nuisance. From all your posts, all you have ever done is abuse your intellectual superiors. It is obvious that you are lacking a necessary element to make you fit to reside and communicate with other sane humans. Nothing good ever comes out from you, it is really boring and disgusting. Nobody is going to give you an award for been a troll on NL, because no one cares..... So get a life...... If u like leave your bombings and come after me since you know everything thing about me, or what are you still waiting for...... Useless coward like you.... Shame on your existence, this is the last time I ll bother myself to respond to your hate filled rantings.... Your doom awaits you... NDRepublic: |

NDRepublic: E.K Clark came out and spoke against the avengers, is he a a traitor as well...More Ijaw leaders, spoken out against the avengers than Itsekhiri's but you won't say nothing about them, what about Boroh that is leading the invasion of Gbaramatu is he not Ijaw as well? ......Even your Royal fathers have spoken out against them, the Olu of Warri still hasn't... Our leaders have been our problems, wether Urhobo, Ijaw or Itsekhiri, they raised us to hate each other and kill ourselves while our lands are left underdeveloped......Na all of them they split job slots and chop everything why we accuse each other day and night of treachery..... We can only fight this fight together.....I'm a full blooded Itsekhiri and instead of engaging you on who better pass or who don betray who pass......I'm gonna say this, we all suffer the effects of gas flaring together, none of us get oil well, all our people na nor get job round Warri, our creeks and villages are underdeveloped, we have lived together and intermarried for ions before naija....What unites us is bigger than what divides us, I'm in full support of the avengers...This is our fight, everyone of us....We need to do better for our children than our leaders did for us....We need to stop breeding hatred among each other... |
