Hello nairalanders, pls my hubby needs a change of job as soon as possible. He currently works as a maintenance engineer in a company but on contract base for over four (4) years now and hasn't been staffed, and there's no hope of any1 being staffed there. The salary is not even coming steady and its peanut.
He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate, very experienced in this field and also well experienced in electrical engineering as well. He is also an experienced machinist and fitter person and also into welding. He has all these skills and abilities but no good job and its affecting us now with two kids.

What does even envelop production and GNLD had to do with an engineer, it's obvious u wanted to add to his problem.

If it is not GNLD,I don't think he is adding to his problem.The truth is that he just needs to start somewhere and if it doesn't pay the man in question,he can decide to forgo it.It is all about choice.

We have that in mind already,but u know getting those machines to start the workshop with is not small money. We need to safe up enough before we can start something of our own.

While you guys are looking for another job, you can do something else with what you are doing already for additional income. I work and also do network marketing, this one is not stressful and pays very well. If you are interested call 07064264273

marriage is for companionship, but having kids is a choice
that can be married and decide to have kids only when they are financially stable.. not to subject kids to misery.
there is something as birth control naa.. even more "self control".. I mean don't you think it would have been easier for them to cope if it was just the two of them?

Two kids are fair enough, you don't want to be close to retirement when they need you the most

If I had d opportunity like ur hubby, I would hv used the little money I hv to buy a tool box and open a mini automobile workshop. there is money in that business but people don't know. I am a Mechanical Engineer, automobile Engineer etc. Even though d economy is down, Nigerians will always buy cars and when you have a car, u must do maintenance, repairs and services. I will not be based in Lagos because Lagos is too crowded for such a business. I will relocate. At least, u should thank God he is doing a contract work because people don't have at all and as the saying goes, " half a loaf is better than no bread." U as a wife, what are doing to help d family also?
