I would prefer her to stay in her house with d help of one family member to assist cos not everyone is comfortable seeing mil running errand for them.
My hubby ws hardly around to n i hv sisters n cousin wc i tak turn to invite to come stay with me and they help out.

As for mil not knowing, not a good idea.immediately i git my bfp i called all d ppl callable to share d news.

Her issues are, 1.how will the mother in law handle the house chores alone without feeling over stressed.2)especially at the early stage of pregnancy a woman is expected to maintain low profile n keep herself from people, living with her mother inlaw means she will be carried along in terms of ante natal n the progress of the pregnancy, how can this be avoided?


Living in the hospital is not a bad idea but expensive, 5k without food per night.
The only issue with staying at home is that she most get a house help and church member visiting and asking why she wasn't in church , how can this be avoided?

@ wonyi, I think it's best if a close relative comes to stay with the lady till she feels better to handle house chores on her own since her husband is not always around. Each family is peculiar and some MILs are superb at taking care of their pregnant DILs, but then again it depends on her relationship with her MIL. Some people don't like to announce their pregnancies on time depending on their circumstances, like if there has been recurrent miscarriage it's wise to keep the news till the pregnancy is well advanced. For me, I have a very caring MIL who is like my second mummy and we are quite close so we told her and my parents around the same time

@Sixx, pls and pls do not pray for MS. It's not a wonderful feeling, some people even end up feeling miserable but I won't blame them after for example, they might have thrown up 5 times in 3 hours and can't keep even water down. Keep declaring perfect health for yourself. It's not compulsory to be sick in the first trimester, count yourself lucky and enjoy every bit of your journey.

@Evacroft, thanks for your response. I just don't see any reason for this my using cyclogest honestly if not that I have a history of low progesterone. Cos from Mama Zaynie's point, it's mainly for people with history of miscarriage or who have bleed, but I haven't had any of those. So am thinking of stopping after week 9.

sorry dear,my subscription expired yesterday, well, as for me, I don't have any history of miscarriage, but my gyn placed me on the cyclogest plus progesterone injections cos according to him, since I have pcos, my progesterone level might be low, so to be on the safe side, he placed me on it. I started the cyclogest from 6weeks, cos that was when I went to see him after my bfp, I took it till week 15, when I went to see him again, that I should buy the cyclogest one pack again and he added duphaston for me, but. I didn't take the cyclogest again , I bought only d duphaston and took for just a month and stopped. As. For the metformin, immediately I got bfp, I took it for one more week then I stopped.

C me jejely entering a salon to mk my over due hair and one woman disturbing my peace just cause we happen to hv babies that r almost same age.. 4rm madam,dis ur child z big ooo to how many months,silly me opened my mouth n said 6+,if I had known I wudnt hv answered ooo. This woman has compared ha baby wit mine down to d very least of tins u can think of,who send me cum mk hair on a saturday?? She has complained dat my baby won't sit down on tym cos of his weight,dat ha child of 5+ has started sitting down(mine sat @ 4+,bt I didn't tel ha dat just to stop ha 4rm making comparison) after all some babies r fatter than him n didn't hv p,he weighed 9.3kg @6months bt e no stop am 4rm achieving his required milestones. She complained that I dnt knw how to bring out my breast while breastfeeding a child(I hv bin doing it this way 4 6months plus now n I'm getting good result,my baby is healthier than hers,I did ebf,she couldn't do according to her),she has complained that I'm exposing my breast,plus using washcloth to cover breast is it nt enough Should I cover n cover to d extent that my baby wil b sucking nipple thru washcloth biko kwanu While breastfeeding Brian was sweating,she started saying madam clean that sweat naaa,c me c wahala ooo... she has complained that my baby doesn't smile,biko shld Brian b smiling unnecessarily?? That ha baby smiles a lot...biko shld I faint or flap my breast n fly away I calmly told ha that my baby has started crawling,she was like ehhh,its nt true,that I shld drop my baby on bare floor,salon floor while she drops hers let dem race?? Biko isn't this d height of joblessness My baby was using his fingers to scratch his gum n she said he sucks his fingers(I didn't come here wit his teether cos once he drops it on d floor,I won't give it to him again until we r home where I can wash it),madam dis boy is sucking his fingers ooo,my baby doesn't do that,u need to stop him...D hairdresser at a point told ha to stop comparing that after all my baby has 2 teeth while hers has none. My dear am in 4 anything dt will constantly remind me that am expecting. Am not d falling ill type so morning sickness 4 me will be lyk a celebration of knowing am still human afterall. Lol

My dear, when I hear stories of Morning sickness, I always wonder. My 1st 3 months, I did not even experience any thing. No Vomiting, no spitting, no tiredness, Infact nothing at all. At times I will wonder what is happening. My tummy was not shooting out, even up till now. When I got to 17 weeks, I was so bothered about it, I went and did U/s on my own and I was given my result. The guy even told me that the level of my pregnancy, that there was no need drinking water for scan.

My dear, after that day, I stopped worrying about signs and symptoms. Cool down, you are okay.

Some people are funny, is she not hearing herself My daughter was very chubby too, even now people still call her orobo though she's not so big anymore just that she has big thighs and her weight didn't stop anything. At one point, you need to give her one good clapback to shut her up.
That was how one stupid old cargo, was looking at me pointedly and telling me she doesn't like big babies, she said it twice just to be sure I heard. At first I wanted to say something nasty but thought better of it, her life is enough to answer her. She never find boyfriend, not to talk of marrying or getting pregnant or even having a healthy baby to start with. Bad belle people everywhere.
The part that cracked me up the most was that part about dropping your baby on the floor to do crawling race

Some people were specially sent by the devil to test one's patience and na 2 ways to deal with such people, either one act like mumu and keep smiling or one will "with all due respect tell them to go hug Disco installation after taking a fast dip in the lagoon"!
