Wasap guys, Some great work you guys are doing here o. Keep up the good works and God Almighy will sure bless you richly. Pardon me please,I asked a question a while ago concerning cost of 5 & 10years visiting visas in Nigerian Naira, but didn't get a response. I only wanted to know what exchange rate,if it's the CBN rate(N200) or current Parallel Market rate(N350). Also, the caveat on the Tuberculosis Test is quite confusing. I wanna reapply for a 10 year visa(possibly) and don't intend stayin more than 2weeks on each visit, so do I still need to take the Tuberculosis Test? I'm not staying 6months stretch. Your kind response would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys |

poppywasiu: PoppyWasiu, having 1.3m bal. isn't a guarantee for landing visiting visa but a good step towards. Answer these questions : *How long have you being working in the coy that pays your salary of 100k+ ? * Has your salary being consistently transferred from the coy acct to the salary account statement you have the 1.3m for the past 6months + ? * have you made any cash deposit of more than half of your salary in the past 6months? If yes, wat for and any supporting docs? * Will your coy give you the following letters - leave letter - a copy of your payee and pay slip - your last promotion, employment, appreciation letters * what budget are you working on (flight, accommodation, feeding, site seeing, shopping etc) * Married with kids? * any other income apart from salary (income on rent, dividends, fixed deposit) * do you possess property(ies)? Give a sincere response to the above, then the gurus will advice accordingly Cheers geolan: The bolded isn't looking good @ all. Your account stmnt MUST be included and there should be substantial amount of money in it as a pointer that you are currently productive in Nigeria and would come back to continue productivity. Your picture as of now to the ECO, no matter how sincere you might be about coming back, will be; a young mobile graduate (single) want to 'visit' UK from a Third World country with high level of unemployment. Why would s/he want to come back?! Honestly, you have no stated tie to your country and MAY not be granted a visit visa. |

khar: The exchange rate will be that of your bank. Check with your banker for the dollar exchange rate for the day you are to apply. As for the TB test, once the criteria for the year you are applying for demand for the test, it has nothing to do with your periodic stay but the visa you carry. My belief sha All the best |

Question1: You are really coming across as desperate now...in your first application you regarded him as your legal guardian and applied to study Greek history and now you changed the courses and sponsor to uncle. Do you see how desperate it come across? |

Question1: He can put it in one document or separate it doesn't really matter. In terms of bank statement and money that comes into it...he can only explain that in writing and present his account as it is... Personally I think you need take a break from this for now...he is not earning that much to spend on your 'not-so-important-trip'. Get your documents in order for future application but if you insist then my wishes to you. 1 Like |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 10:06pm On May 29, 2016 |
Question1: That is not a problem. Since your uncle's name is in the system as your legal guardian you may have to get that legalised and get the paper for future use. |

geolan: You need to include your bank statement and proof your tie to Nigeria, your sponsor's account alone will not work though important but you still need to proof your tie to your home country. |

Good a.m n a big thanks to all d kind helpers in here! A silent reader n Jes recently got my 6 months business visitor visa. A quick question,I applied with a hotel reservation though I intend staying with my aunt who I also included as a relative I would b visiting while in d UK. My problem is how do I solve d point of entry brouhaha,do I just come out as staying with my aunt or have to lose my money to d hotel reservation?? Much thanks again |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by diamondsare4eva: 12:44am On May 30, 2016 |
Congrats.I don't think you should worry about where to stay. Cancel your hotel reservation if you decide not to stay there and collect your money, unless its non refundable, then you can stay for a night or 2 at the hotel before going to your aunt's. Since you said you have an aunt in the UK, you can put down her address at the port of entry. Biobobs: |

castiello: Did u get the visa? If Yes, they will surely return ur IV but if no, they won't return it I guess. There is no issue with returning IV, it's not like it's useful after usage. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tunderule2016: 9:28am On May 30, 2016 |
Please ... dont tell them at port of entry u r going to your AUNTY OOO because i do know now at UK boarder they see everything you submitted at homeoffice... during your visa application so if they ask u even at port of entry u go confirm everything u submitted on form.... so still leave your hotel things...abeg Most hotel do not charge you until u r there ... then when u r in then u can cancel...online... NOTE; if hotel has charged you , then when u r in call the hotel and let them know there is a little problem with your plan (extenuating circumstances) ; they might not pay u full money back but at least you will get some ... They have the right to keep any document.... so any document they do not return you should know they kept it for record purposes... that is why it is important to always have records, copies of every document submitted. castiello: |

castiello: Nothing to worry about, just tell them the embassy did not return the IV maybe for their record purpose, you can aswell request for another IV since you have moved class. Just for you to pass the POE. |
