Gold Coast is a beautiful place to be. However, you need to know that the cost of living there is generally high but that will not be much of a problem when you start working because you will be paid well. If you are the hardworking type, and with God's favor, you will live comfortably
Good luck!

A beautiful country...eight months now i have not experienced power outage. grin
Am a graduate nurse-midwife here in Nigeria and I want to migrate to Australia, and presently am working but the salary is a rubbish, what would you advice, to apply for registration from here or to find other means to enter Australia and later apply for registration.
Hope to hear from you soon

Apply from Nigeria, it's better as other means could cost you more money
That is my opinion.

Hello gud folks in the ausie thread. You guys have been doing great work here. Please I want to ask if it is possible for one to get full scholarship for masters or full tuition waiver in any Australian university. I am from a poor background. I'll prefer to study international relations in some ausie unis good in it like university of Melbourne, Macquarie uni, Australian national university. Please can this course fetch one anything to do after studies there. How is it possible for me to get a good grant if I do ielts and with a cgpa of 4.49.

No one is sending you back, but immigration might ask you where you intend to stay at the moment. Just tell them your going to stay at backpackers at the moment. A taxi at the airport would take you to any nearest backpackers lodge. If I may ask, where are you going to in Australia?

Hello, pls i am coming to australia but looking ways to settle down quickly and get a job ASAP.

I have an 18 months working visa, Skilled graduate migration visa (subclass 476). I hope to get a professional job but won't mind a casual job for a start to keep me going first. I am a mechanical engineer by training.

Please, advice the best city to come to and how to settle in quickly. Ultimately, I look forward to applying for PR during my stay. Thanks.

Hello people, please I have plans of migrating to Australia through the independent skills visa option. I really want to know if anyone (Nigerians) have migrated through this Visa option. Also I would like to know if there is any Nigerian Practicing Architect in Australia in this forum
I really need to inquire from such a person if there are job opportunities in this field over there and also if our Educational Qualifications are accepted by the AACA (Accreditation body for Architects).

Thanks.
