Glo data service still remains terribly poor and this new rate is not the right business decision to make. They should just focus on improving the coverage and capacity of their data network. Abi what is the essence of buy 2gb data when the poor network will not allow you to use it.

Which city are you? It depends on your location, I am currently in Lekki and Glo network rocks better here.

Since glo is owned by a Nigerian & for nigerians, it needs to be the cheapest. Those enjoying good data speed on glo, pls where do you guys stay??

Glo's network can be slow but boy, this is a massive heavyweight punch that will leave MTN and the others wondering what has just hit them.

I keep on telling people. Glo speed is not bad, the network is simply not reliable. Their speed is actually very fast ; you can stream a whole 30 mins YouTube video without any thing like buffering. But if it ever disconnects you're on your own cos it might take over 1hr to come back.

still enjoying my mtn data .with my 2g on my galaxy j5 is as fast as ray of light.

Another thing with Go is, you load up and subscribe to these cheap data plans, and they still give you a huge amount of free call minutes.

What is the data consumption rate?

The problem i have with Glo b4 i ditch there sim card was poor network. Let em just improve with their network first,upgrade massively on their network Services,If they succeed in upgrading u'll see MTN and CO duplicating the same Glo data bundle plan in a very short period of time.

For now Mtn n Etisalat is rocking my world.

I prefer high internet speed not very cheap data plans with snail speed service

I think Glo already claims to hve the largest number of data subscribers in Nigeria.

If that's true, then may be their strategy with this new prices is to absorb loses in order to defend their data market share.


This is bad news for Airtel and Etisalat. One of them will have to sell up if this dramatic price collapse continue. I fear for Airtel.
