Hello house, I did my police report certificate yesterday for #2500, please when you get there walk into the office yourself, don't let anyone take you there and when you are there you try and bargain very well.
However I have a question to ask, will I fill the visa office instruction form with a pen or what? I can't type anything inside the form with my laptop. Thanks

I would try my best to answer some of your questions being that I am a married person as well, and we have our own worries and concerns.

I find it hard to understand what you mean by juicy job posting. The kind of jobs you would find vary from province to province. e.g Toronto in Ontario is the financial hub of Canada while Calgary, Alberta is the engineering room of Canada for (O&G) atleast before the crash in price of crude.

Canada is not a country known for many jobs. it's a country with a large number of educated citizens, and the population is just around 35million. It's a small country with large mass land, most of which are inhabitable. Hence jobs are competitive and man know man is quite common. Alot of people volunteer unpaid to get Canadian work experience and to build professional network, something employers here value a lot. i.e Canadian work experience.

It's not easy to school and support family in any developed country in the world irrespective of whether you are pr, citizen or Nigerian.. It's only easy back home in Nigeria because there are families, neighbors, and school that accepts kids even from less than 6 months of age. In Canada like most developed countries, your child has to be a certain age before any daycare would accept him/her(differs by province), daycares are expensive $850-1000 per month per child), your kid has to be age 4-5 to start half day at school(usually like 3-4hours of school in a day). If you can afford to bring one of your grandma from Nigeria, then you would find it easy or you are rich enough to afford daycare fees or one of the parent stays at home to babysit.

Jobs in high demand would always be healthcare careers. All other jobs fluctuates when the economy sneezes. Note that health professions can still also still affected by the economy. e.g Saskatchewan is reducing the budget for health care and education, hence there might be an hiring freeze. There is an abundance of nurses in Alberta, hence supply of nurses is becoming higher than demand. So really, no condition is permanent.

if you can both afford studying for MSc at once, then go for it.

thanks for a detailed reply i'm educated.

What I am saying is that it's impossible to type anything inside the pdf form. Should I print it out then fill it with pen?

Hello house! I have tediously scrutinised messages and the numerous advices dropped here by fellow Nigerians towards the issues of emigration to Canada through student visa application. I'm also nursing the idea of emigrating to Canada and I'm taking steps to actualize my dream once I graduate from the Obafemi Awolowo University [I'm in my final year]. I have contacted a very genuine agency which runs a Canadian visa application which I got to know through a very popular Catholic Church in Lagos. Although, serious capital is involved and it's going to take approximately 12 months to actualize, I'm still lost within a whirlpool of uncertainties and doubts not about the travel agency or securing my Canadian visa, what I'm in doubt of is my prospect of getting tertiary education without first applying here from Nigeria. I know alot of people who have also left Nigeria to other parts of the world including the USA and Canada for tertiary education without applying here in Nigeria here first, though, the had to sit for a course which took months which I'm not really precise about, but I don't want to put myself hope on heresays. House, I need candid assertions on this claims before I take final steps. Thanks in anticipation!

You can fill with a pen
And if you wanna type in, convert to ms word first, you will be able to key in your details. then save back as pdf. The choice is yours. All the best

Hi opsyF,
You might still need more clarity on it. But here is my small guess on what to fill under room and board, other and funds available for your stay.

Let's assume you pay $500 per month for room and you got $2000 per month for board. Then room (shelter) = 500x 2years = 12,000. Board ( eats, fares, keeps) = 2000 x 2years = 4000. Hence Room and Board = $16,000. The extra $10k should fall under Other. Overall, funds available for your stay = 33k(Tuition) + 16k(Room and Board) + 10k(Other) = $59k. Hope this helps a little.

That's not totally true because u would run into problems for insufficient funds.
what they want to know is how much u have for your 1st year only....that is if the 2 yrs is 33k meaning tuition is 33k รท2=16500. And funds available would be tuition((16k) +room nd board (8k)+others (10k)=34kcad

Pls gurus in the house, I need your candid advice.

I got a mail last week tuesday instructing me to go ahead and do medical exam. One of the instruction says I have to complete the test before the expiration of 14 days. I only have the opportunity to do it tommorrow.

I called consutant practice to know the number of days it will take before the result can be sent, thry said 6 working days. IOM said two working days. This shows the mrdical exam result will not get to the embassy before the end of the 14 days

Considering price, medical test in IOM costs 33k while it is only 28k in consultznt practice. Hence, I prefer Consultant practice because of the price, but ...

Do I need to bother about the number of days it will take them before sending the results? Or I should go ahead and do it in any of the two hospitals.

Ask yourself what is 5k compared to the time effort and cash you have invested so far

Hello house, pls I need your kind advice on theBay questions below;
I completed an engineering masters degree program in the uk back in 2013 and wants to diversify my career opportunities in my current work place by taking up a PGD program in international business management to boost my chances of one day hoding a management role within the organisation.
1) Having lived in the UK from 2012-2014 and currently here in Nigeria, is it mandatory that I also obtain and submit a UK police certificate along side my TRV application having already secure the Nigerian police certificate.
2) I work in Lagos but will be in Abuja for a 1 week conference come next week when I intend to submit my application hence I wish to know if I can also submit my application there in Abuja without raising any red flag given that my address says lagos and there is a submission centre in lagos too.

Thanks in anticipation xx

1. No you don't need the UK police clearance, since your country of residence at the moment is Nigeria
2. You can submit anywhere, so long as it's in Nigeria.
But to chip in a few words, hope your SOP explains why you are doing a PGD after an M.SC, because right now that's the big red flag in your app.

The application is processed in Accra, Ghana. It is immaterial whether you submit is Abuja or Lagos. Though you have have to pick up ur passport in Abuja or pay to have it forwarded to you in Lagos.
