Check your area(s) of concern and do us a favour by coming down to post it here. The OP is not paid by anybody to do what he is doing. He is a concerned Nigerian whose sole interest is to foster unity by correcting most of the lies flying around.

You can come here to lament and whine when you have searched all the projects in the budget but couldn't find your state here. Thank you and God bless.

Boss abeg, that Mbok to Ikom contract na scam, the road has been completed over 3years ago...and it was a project of the ADB running from Enugu through Abakaliki to Ikom and terminating at Bemanda in Cameroon. guess what? it appeared on your list of project for the South East yesterday

It's strategic but you need to know your map...those are the bordering states for the SS. They connect to other geopolitical zones...SW, SE and NC. For instance, the railway only starts from Cross River, it actually cuts across a reasonable number of states. Like sm1 has mentioned on this thread, the most important debate should be about seeing action on all these plans not just the paper talk.

So much focus on Edo state,guess it's due to the coming up state elections.

This is were we get it wrong. That you see long list on paper does not mean you will see that on the ground. You may wish to see the list of previous years. They are even longer than this. It will be very early for us to start to sing praises now. the most annoying aspect is when you see a road that passes through your area in the list and at the end of the year you see the road in the list of project executed and paid for but through out the year no grader has passed through the road. You may still see this list in next year's budget.

. Neglects ma broda, from previous Govts. Cross River state is a very big state for instance, despite a PDP state since '99 much Federal presence was not really felt. Development u manage to see in Cross River is purely state efforts especially during then Gov. Donald Duke era who tried his best to make the state a destination. He even pleaded with PDP Led FG to dualized the Calabar-Itu road which is in 2016 Budget today to open-up the Akwa-Cross region for business & tourism. Unfortunately senators rep. CR-North & CR-Central, CR-South could not attract much Federal project to the state, maybe too much politics at the Centre(Abuja). PMB in his wisdom is tryin' to correct the mistakes of PDP interms of wide-spread of FG projects across states without playing politics with it. Much of the projects occured to CRS are located in North & Central parts of CRS which is largerly rural and utmost intervention.
CR-South takes the share of the proposed Dualization of calabar-odukpani-Itu highway & 1 or 2projects in calabar. E.g the Lagos-calabar rail project which was excluded initially but PMB Personally included it. He has demonstrated that he is a president for everybody devoid of party differences.
As for Edo state, bros u knw say APC National Chairman from there, he simply push Edo state matter to PMB's Table for due consideration. But i see some of these of projects coming under Min.of Niger-Delta, NDDC especially the solar-powered street lights projects.
BottomLine: who pushes ur state's issues to the centre for due consideration matters a lot, at least each state has a minister & 3senators reppin' them.
We all pray for speedy implementation of these 2016 Budget.

. Its there, part of the Calabar-Odukpani-Itu-IkotEkpene highway and i think it will extend to Aba, cos that road is a no-go-area, very ugly death trap road. Commercial transporters have since abandon that road. Travellers from Calabar,uyo etc uses Ukwa to access Aba thru' Aba-PH expressway.

There are allocations for projects in Delta south and central there like the one's in Isoko federal constituency, in Bomadi LG etc for Delta south. There are a few for Delta central like the ones in Ethiope Fed. Constituency, Sapele-Agbor road etc. There are more projects in Delta North though. But with what I'm seeing been attached to Isoko areas(Delta south), I'm certain, Hon. Leo Ogor(Isoko federal constituency) is representing well. I didn't see anything for Ughelli/Udu, Okpe/Uvwie, or Warri federal constituencies but next year dey. If not for this kind of federalism we practise, the FG is not supposed to take on all these burden. I pray the projects come to fruition.

Transmission is still fully in government's hands. Plus, many power projects are public private partnerships...

I've traveled that route a lotta times. I wonder why they had to bring Benin into it and then name it 'Phase One', if not for cheap propaganda purposes. That road is entirely in Kogi State and could be comfortably called 'Obajana-Okene' road without any qualms. But, in order to make it look as if they are doing something for the South-South, they had to christen it a name that would confuse people. My dear! We are not confused, that road is in Kogi State and Kogi is not in the South-South, nor in the Niger Delta...
