Yeah both schools are very cool.. But in RWTH Aachen, I will have to do both Masters College which will cost 5500€ and the Master program itself which will also cost 238€ per semester. Then in Bremen, i will just do the main Masters Programme which will cost only 289€ per semester.
I smell Bremen. Clear your nostrils bro! grin

Eke I travelled to Graben for the Job in October and NOT because I need a job immediately. By then I would have been through with my studies ok?! FYI I teach music in Leipzig every weekend so I do not necessarily have to travel to Graben and forsake my studies when I am not on leave!

You said Tosin is going south for Oktoberfest........ What is the bone of contention here? I said there are student jobs I didn't say there are jobs that will make you rich over night I even gave a clearly analytic explanation of someone who was able to pay off his debts by means of a ''student job'' because he's been living a prudent life style.
That Tosin has decided to move south whether for Oktoberfest or permanently either because he doesn't speak German or he hasn't made much effort in getting a decent job is his own decision.

I remember your brutal comment about this same city last two years and last year if I had adhered to your ''advice'' I would have sit my butt in Nigeria just because of those statements of yours. But guess what................................ I have NO REGRET WHATSOEVER being here!

What I am trying to point out is that you should STOP discouraging people from making decisions. Some persons only applied to FSU Jena. Are you trying to discourage them from coming to Germany because of what ''people'' told you?

Eke if you like bring the whole of Jena to this thread and let everyone say whatever they want to say it is non of my business. There's something about being positive about life. No matter how good or bad a thing is there are certain people who will never see the positive side of it!

I still maintain that if you are knowledgeable in German and you have Jena as a viable option please come because the city is absolutely inexpensive to live in and you will most likely get a student job either in the city or in neighboring cities. Conclusively as people will say ''everyone come life with e own head''.

Eke40seven:

Okay. Wait, you will hear from the horse's mouth soon.
We all know 95% of the people leaving here cannot speak German. So I am speaking as a Nigerian.
I will probably invite someone soon, one has spent 2 years and the other 1 year plus. They will feed you the hard truth!
"If you are hoping to make some money while schooling and you are from Nigeria. I will warn you again DON'T GO TO JENA!!!!!!!!" That was a quote by someone who schooled in that environment for almost 2 years now.
Two people living in the city and close by have warned me personally.
A friend Tosin is even moving down south for Oktoberfest jobs.
If it was as rosy as you painted, you won't travel all the way down to Graben here in Bavaria almost 10 hours by bus to do an interview for a job. I stay relatively closer to Graben but yet still considering the sacrifice and inconvenience.
Do you live in the city? You might have been lucky to get one though, but in general many will find it tough.
Since you live there, no shit then.
I support people living in smaller and cheaper cities where there are jobs than bigger cities because of cost of housing. However, if you stay in a studentenwerk accommodation, things level themselves out. Studentenwerk München doesn't come cheap though compared to other places.

@Jbadmus, seems we are sailing through same application. I applied to Rostock as well but sent my documents 10th of may but this people sef have not mailed to acknowledge receipt of my parcel.

did they mail you when they got your your documents?

I sent my application documents in the first week of February. Rostock did not not send any acknowledgement mail of receipt to me but I knew my documents got there because two sets of application documents were sent the same time and I received a feedback response from UniSeigen. As regards UniDortmund(M.Sc Embedded Systems in Mechatronics), if you don't have a TOEFL,IELTS or other language result, then forget it! They don't reckon with Letter of English Language Proficiency issued by ones school or Ministry of Education.
On UniRostock, their application deadline is 15th of July,so your document will definitely get there before then. They will only notify you of your admission status.

Haba, that was a big risk you took knowing the track records of Nipost inconsistencies.
The day has not ended, quickly package another set and use DHL or TNT so that your document can get their on June 3.

Lamingo,

Remember to tell them that anybody using KOLN for interview has to be extremely prayerful cos their auslanderbehorde is something else.

using snail to qualify them is an understatement. they can so delay your visa application for up to 8 weeks if not more than

If you have admission from other schools, use it for visa interview then relocate to koln

First bank
I was at First Bank, Akure today and the lady in charge of Form A transfers seemed unsure if she could initiate the transfer as the Deutshe Bank account bears my name. Apparently, the transfer should be directly to a school account. I told her it's been done but I don't think she's handled many transactions like that. What First Bank branch did you use?

Hello all,

Please I am anticipating admission letters from:

1. University of Ulm (Chemical Engineering)
2. University of Bremerhaven (Process Engineering & Energy Technology)
3. University of Magdeburg (Chemical and Energy Engineering)
4. University of Munster (Chemical Engineering)

Please is there anyone who has in-depth knowledge of any of these schools and cities? Please help a brother out…

You can please reply under these headings (but you are not limited to it);

I. Quality of school
II. Life in the city (…and availability of student jobs)
III. Settling down after school

Please no information is too small, I believe there are quite a number of people heading to these schools, and you will be helping not just me but US make the right choice.

Danke!

Hello winter peepz I applied for Form A today at diamond bank and I received my debit alert today....... Isn't that incredible? And there rate is cheaper compared to some banks like GTB, UnionBank etc. Though the transaction was done with USD but when I tried converting it I found out that it is around 225/euro. Unionbank/GTB is around 240/euro.
