You can't be from the Niger Delta and then support those against us.
The North have ruled for 40yrs, what have they done for their people. Because GEJ governed for 6yrs the Niger Delta is supposed to be like Dubai.
Obasanjo ruled for 8yrs, go to Otta or wherever he comes from and tell me he changed the place to London.

Stop taking panadol for other people's headache. Face your own region.

You are utterly shameless for trying to muzzle the truth.

Where have the NDDC funds gone?
The 13% derivation?
The Niger Delta Ministry?
The various PADEC's?

You can only fool yourself, forget the tug of wits on NL. Many years after you finally logout, you will still suffer from the environmental destruction you hailed in your youth. You will regret every blast you hailed and opportunity missed to stop the carnage. If you see the way Kingsley Kuku lives in London, you will bless the likes of Danjuma and make hunting down your ND leaders your life mission. Trust me.

I can only express concern, you might view it as convenient since I support the President, but if you can objectively reflect, you'll see you're the one with everything to lose. Carry on.

At a cost average of N10 million per unit, the nearly N40 billion former governor, James Ibori, recently admitted before a UK court to stealing between 1999 and 2007, could have rolled back a minimum of 4000 houses.
After Mr. Ibori’s plea in February, outside the Southwark Crown Court in London where the trial took place, one of the investigators on the case hinted at a possibility of a much bigger figure: N61.8 billion (equivalent of £250 million) may have actually been stolen from the state coffers.

In contrast, just a little above Mr. Ibori’s loot – N82.5billion – is budgeted for the entire Anambra state, while Gombe state plans to spend N90 billion.

They have not discovered the Panama stash and some others as at the time of this report.

According to “'Kleptocrats' Portfolio Decisions or, realities in State Asset Recovery cases” by Tim Daniel and James Maton (“Kleptocrats’ Portfolio”),

Diepreye Peter Solomon Alamieyeseigha was elected as Governor of Nigeria’s Bayelsa State in May 1999 and re-elected in 2003; he was impeached for corruption in December 2005. “Between the start of his period of office in May 1999, to late 2005, Alamieyeseigha accumulated (outside Nigeria) known properties, bank accounts, investments and cash exceeding £10m in value. His portfolio of foreign assets included accounts with five banks in the UK and further accounts with banks in Cyprus, Denmark and the United States; four London properties acquired for a total of £4.8m; a Cape Town harbour penthouse acquired for almost £1m, possible assets in the United States, and almost £1m in cash

stored in one of his London properties. Some of the foreign assets were held in his name and that of his wife, but the bulk of them were held by companies and trusts incorporated in the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, South Africa, and Seychelles.” According to “Kleptocrats’ Portfolio”, these companies used to hold the assets were established and managed by third parties and trust and company service providers.

Finally someone with sense.....OP God bless you for this question you asked.

Why are Niger Deltans not questioning their Governors, State House of Assembly members, LGA chairman, NDDC chairman about what happened to funds allocated to them that are meant for development.

And why is all their battle always targeted at the federal level, when their Governors, State House of Assembly members, LGA chairman, NDDC chairman are right there in their locality

Let me ask a question does their state get allocation like all the other states, if yes, what have their past governors, counselor, LG chairmen being doing with the money......the money that goes to NDDC what is it used for...

Now, why are they all screaming federal government, why have the avengers not asked the governors, counselors, state assembly, LGA chairmen, NDDC commissioners what happened to their money...

Someone here is showing pictures of Lagos and Abuja...these states get allocation from the federal government like every other state and they use it wisely, why then are you crying wolf when you squander your own allocations.

Do they not also have members representing them at the house of assembly, why are they not putting pressure on those fellows to tender their case......

This is just plain terrorism / sabotage
Even America will tell you they don't negotiate with terrorist, you need to follow proper channels/procedures

You are correct with your question. When the NDDC was being created, I was still in my late teens and I remember telling my dad that I believe they would still loot the funds allocated and it after some years, it would become a shame to the ND.

Odili was the first governor of Rivers State at the helm when the state started receiving 13% derivation funds.
Himself and his hench men (a major member of which was Amaechi) looted away.
Amaechi also came in and we have not much concrete to show for his eight years in office except the new stadium, the primary schools, and the monorail which ended up being a source of embarrassment to his govt.

The NDDC came into existence when Nigerians were still corrupt (not saying that they now have renewed minds) so what has played out was inevitable.
