Government job isn't the best job one can have, it's just the job security it guarantees, it gives room for mediocrity especially youth who need to harness his potential and ability, that is to say it also promotes laxity. The era of waiting for pension is far gone as the system doesn't really favour most pensioners, this can be attributed to the bureaucratic processes couple with poor documentation and record keeping of data's affecting civil servants, it is also encouraging to know that most of our leaders were once career civil servants.

Actually that's a service rule. No government job pays immediately after commencement. Federal normally takes 2 months b4 pay starts, most States take up to 3 months. Mind you, you'll be paid in arrears too for those skipped months
