When was the last time an EPL dominated team won any major trophy?

2006 world cup won by Serie A dominated players

world cup 2010 won by La Liga dominated players

World cup 2014 won by Bundesliga dominated players

Now when would EPL dominate a team that wins

According to our chief scout, Roman will be backing Conte with unlimited transfer funds. That's in other words, an open cheque.

If that inference is anything to go by, then I say go re-sign Rudiger from Roma. If it would be difficult to actualize, then I say bring on Bonucci. Make the acquisition of two CMs a priority - a promising one that would serve a need in the future - Ajax's Bazoer or Anderlecht's Tielemann, then an established one that would help save us now - Roma's Naingollan or Leicester's N'kante. Then we'd also need a forward who knows where the goals are - Griezmann or Lukaku. Gentlemen can we swap Rahman for home-grown Cresswell? I wouldn't mind having that transfer.

Transfer In: Rudiger/Bonucci, Naingollan/Kante, Bazoer/Tielemann, Griezmann/Lukaku, Cresswell.

Transfer Out: Cahill, Rahman, Mikel, Oscar, Remy, Pato.

First XI:

Courtois

Azpilicueta Zouma Rudiger/Bonucci Cresswell

Fabregas(c) Naingollan/Kante Matic

Willian Costa/Griezmann/Lukaku Hazard

Second XI:

Begovic

Ivanovic Cristensen JT(c) Ake

Loftus-Cheek Bazoer/Tielemann Baker

Pedro Traore Kennedy

Alternate Formation: 4-2-2-2

Courtois

Ivanovic Zouma Rudiger/Bonucci Azpilicueta

Naingollan/Kante Matic

Willian Hazard

Griezmann/Lukaku Costa

The mentality of our current squad is weak, and can't stay mentally alert for a consistent level. Competition is needed to bring out that drive n' keep them fighting to prove a point every game. That's the only way we can challenge next term.

We wouldn't have any European game to honor, so fixture congestion isn't going to be a worry. A 25-man squad that's well managed can win us the league and the FA Cup.

I'd love to read your views too.

That's a tasty looking squad right there.

IMO Ivanovic has to go, as well as JT. I'm not feeling Matic either sef. I would love a Kante- Coquelin Pivot though. Absolutely Looove it.

Roman please make it happen!

IMO Ivanovic stay. He might be poo this season but his versatility is still important in that backline. And he is a defender you can be sure of popping up to score match winning goals regularly. Terry can go. I like that Bonucci guy but I'm not sure about his age.

I won't be happy one bit if we fail to sign Nianggolan this season. I'd love to see Fabregas Nianggolan Matic in a 433 formation. Ibime isn't this the type of midfield you're yearning for?

BTW that your first line up Griffon is super.

Kante - Coquelin or Naingollan - Coquelin. Nihilist you're in my head right now. This is more than steel mehn, an opposition player would definitely get stretched off every game day, that's a phucking guarantee. cheesy

Provided with the right motivation and proper tactical instruction, I believe Matic would bounce back. You can see the ability right there, he has what it takes to become the best CM in the world, he just needs a manager.

JT extended his stay with us one more year and equally took a pay cut. Let's just have our leader around. Such figure have a way of motivating the young guns.

Ivanovic? I'm quite undecided on this one hence I dropped him into the second eleven.

Last transfer Chinese cash splash in Europe should have been enough for a rethink.

Afterall it's just one season we will miss european football. Yes, just one season. Players looking at the bigger picture will know that Chelsea is a big club. European football is guaranteed, forget about this crazy season we had. Is the player signing for just one season?

I particularly love them for their mobility. They are smallish and tenacious, and can quickly recover to their starting position following a turnover upfield...on like Matic.

That stretcher yarns is just the goddam truth. I mean just look at this Kante's yams grin

WTF! grin
Provided with the right motivation and proper tactical instruction, I believe Matic would bounce back. You can see the ability right there, he has what it takes to become the best CM in the world, he just needs a manager.

I think he has the Ability to be the best DM in the world...He is a rubbish CM. he is too slow and too ponderous, and his ball control and passing is naff.

I remember almost crying myself to sleep almost every matchday after Matic believed his own hype and started to think that Nemanja was Serbian for Andrea Pirlo. When the boy sits and breaks up the play, he is world class. It's when he tries to do anything else that he ends up looking like an atilogwu dancer trying to moonwalk.

Win the ball back, pass it to Hazard or Fab, take the odd long shot, and just keep it moving for me.
JT extended his stay with us one more year and equally took a pay cut. Let's just have our leader around. Such figure have a way of motivating the young guns.

He can lead from the backroom in some sort of coaching or advisory role. The man's legs are gone. He's almost 40 years old and the natural ageing process has taken it's toll, even before you consider how Terry would brutalise his body for the cause. Let him go jare. Your proposed Bonnuci has leadership qualities in buckets. I mean this guy beat up a dude armed with a gun who tried to rob him. That's gangster.

Ivanovic? I'm quite undecided on this one hence I dropped him into the second eleven.
Bran should take his big nyash out of the club jare...unless he stays as a Centreback. Anytime I remember this thing, I feel like crying.

It's one thing to get beaten at pace by the Monteros of this world...but when they can drimble you like this from a standing position, you might as well just put on an Andrea Bocelli CD, cos it's time to say goodbye.

Who knows how many seasons Chelsea will go before they ever smell continental football again? There are various factors big name players consider before they sign for clubs. One of such factors is, are they going to play in European Championships? You think a Cesc Fabregas will leave Barcelona to go and sign for Norwich or Watford, in this day and age where you can make so much money from global marketing brands if you are featured in continental matches?

Or you think a certain Kante who fought tooth and nail to make sure his club features in European Championship season will suddenly, let it all go and decide to play for a Chelsea? What is the incentive? grin Every player looks at the opportunity they have at the moment and grab it. Football is a game that one season you are fantastic, the next season you are probably on crutches. So forget all these bigger pictures you are painting here. Na Emenalo dey see bigger picture. grin

The same money you are boasting of, the likes of Watford, West ham, Tottenham, Everton, ati bebe lo, will boast of it too. Money does not answer all things. I know of a billionaire in West Africa, with all his legitimate investments in Africa and Europe, he is battling with depression. Only we, who are in his inner circle know about this. What everyone else sees on the outside of him is a simple plain easy going rich man.

Yea I get you, those are the factors Alex Teixeira (26 years) and Jackson Martinez (29 years) considered before leaving sure UCL football every season and signing for Jiangsu Suning and Guangzhou Evergrande respectively.

I will pretend like I didn't see that Fabregas Norwich/Watford example you gave up there.

There are players who are into in the game for the passion of playing, there are players who are into the game for the money, glamour and fame it would possibly bring to them.

I personally do not think Kante will leave Leicester to go and play for Chelsea when he knows there is a bigger picture and bigger opportunity for him if he plays for Leicester next season in the Champions League than for a Chelsea who currently are still trying to gather themselves together under a new coach.

Reality stinks at times.

Financial stability/security matters a lot these days. But then again, there are those who are into the game for the passion and joy that it gives them.

Hard to categorically state what motivates a player either for the money or the passion. But then again, Kante does not strike me as the kind of player that will want to deny himself of the opportunity of a Champion's League feature this coming season just to play for a dying Chelsea.

Kane playing right wing.

Practically nobody in central midfield with Alli playing in left midfield.
