Thanks, it was csection. Had the baby @ peter lougheed hosp.

Me: 3900 per night
Dr: 1500

I heard it used to be 2500 per night and below 1k for baby but prices have recently be reviewed.

For VD
Will be pretty much same amount except for dr's bill will be 1,000

Pls note drs bill can be as much as 3500.i had to keep shopping for a cheaper gynae.

@hotstepper pls I need you help as per birth cert and Etc. Biko a number I can reach you on.

@wayinoma
hello.. First of all, thank you for your sharing ur story here.
Tomorrow will be the 28th week of my wife's pregnancy and we plan to deliver the baby in calgary.
We decide to deliver the baby at peter lougheed and using the same doctor as yours (once again thanks for sharing)
I have called peter lougheed and ask about estimate cost which is $3,673/night for mom. $1,080/night for baby. $838 admission fee.

I need some detail info about your success journey. I hope you don't mind to help.
1. You stay 36 hours at the hospital but they just charge you 1 day ($3,900)?
2. Is the doctor fine about your first appointment at 35 weeks of pregnancy?
3. Medical cost
Baby : 1080
Me: 3900 per night (x1 or ×2 night)?
Dr: 1500
epidural $1,250?
what about cost of admission fee $838? laboratory cost? anything else?

*How much total cost for medical?

4. How many days your total stay in canada?
5. How much the cost of your apartment/hotel?
6. How much living cost during your stay (food, transport, etc)?
7. How much Total money spent in canada for ALL things (including birth certificate, passport, etc)?
8. Can you please tell us the story in detail from 1st day until finish (come to GP directly or mosaic clinic first? after that, what to do? after got ur OBGYN, what is the frequency of seeing her and how much the cost? all the activity in hospital from start to finish?)

Sorry to bother with a lot of question.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Congratz for your new born baby.
Thank you.

@wayinoma
thank you.. But, at least can u please share the hospital cost in detail first? because I really need to do the math:

1. Did they charge you x1 night ($3900) or x2 nights (=$7,800) since it's a CS?
2. How much approximately TOTAL money you spent for hospital & doctor (at least until now)?

I'd really appreciate it.
thank you

It doesn't matter. My family friend was already preggy when she applied but she did online application and there was nowhere they asked if she's preggy or not so she didn't indicate. She wasn't called for interview either and was given 4 yrs visa.

Now to the info everyone is itching to hearsmiley this is not MHIS Cuz Canadian system is different since our health care is free. Lemme explain.

So for her,

1. Dr fee was 750
2. Hospital was 2500 per day and she stayed just a day nd it's CS Ooo
3. Anesthesia..640

Total is 3890 CAD

The baby paid nothing because immediately he was born, he's Canadian so his health card which was given immediately at the hospital made it free. All the specialist that came to check him like eye, hearing etc was free. So this is the part that in US that adds up cuz baby have to pay.

@Hotstepper
Thank you for all the info that you've shared.
I have few questions: (please help)
1. She used Humber River Hospital for the detail above right? (but now the hospital move to new building with new addy at wilson ave?)
2. Who's her OBGYN?
3. As I remember, you said you usually refer family friends to one of the 2 doctors you know right? It's Ayodele Kayode, Dr and who's the other one?

Thank you.

Goo day all, pls my freind was denied USA family visa last month and she said the VO officer just asked her few questions and said sorry ur visa cannot be approved. This is what her transcript was.

Note : they are not going for child bearing cos they already had kids and both traveling for visiting, also booked for hotel reservation.

Me: I and my wife, good morning
VO: good morning, pls can I have ur passport

Me: here is it

VO: where are u going in the USA
Me : Baltimore, Maryland
VO: why do u want to go to Baltimore
Me: Baltimore is a great city with lots of historical places
VO: was typing and facing the computer
VO: what do u do for a leaving
Me: (hubby) I work with bla bla bla
VO: what do u do there
Me: explained
VO: madam what do u do(dats my wife)
Me: I work with a manufacturing company( mentioned d name)
VO: as what
Me: told her
Vo: have u traveled before
Me: hubby said no
Vo: faces down tying,
Me: praying in my mind
Vo: sorry we cannot approve ur visa and she brought out the blue slip and gave it to them.

I told her it was because they don't ve traveling experience.
So she's planning to visit dubai with her hubby next week.

Now her question is ? what went wrong with this questions and answers and why was she denied. She also wants to apply again by October pls she needs advice so she can be prepared. Thanks and God bless.

Taiworhoda you can post the transcript on the proper thread to get feedback
https://www.nairaland.com/2656320/usa-visit-visa-part-2/158
But the travel history is my main suspect. She should travel somewhere and return.she needs to show that she can leave the country and not be tempted to stay back . Even traveling to Ghana by road serves as travel history.

I just believe that my family friend was just too lucky to get this price. Yes Humber River has moved to Wilson. That Dr, Dr grace I still recommend if you wanna birth in humber river, Dr ayodele for Brampton ppl then another one for my area

This Canadian visa thing sef get as e be. I have seen some applications quickly granted while some took longer than expected. I believe it boils down to the VO handling the application.

Hi All, first of all I can't thank you enough for this forum and such a fruitful discussion, it was really helpful as am 24 weeks and got my visa (THANKS GOD) and planning to travel to Mississauga, Toronto in mid-August as my Brother is living there and I can stay with him till I have my baby delivered.

I have read and followed all the thread and built all my information and kind of decisions from this thread smiley kiss

Most probably I'll go to Brampton Civic Hospital as it's only 20 minutes from my brother's house and also it seems to be the cheapest grin grin but still am considering other options like Milton Hospital or Credit Valley Hospital (which is most expensive cry ) depending on the OBGYN as this is my main issue and question now which I didn't find a solution for after reading the whole thread!!!

I NEED CONTACTS FOR OBGYN IN MISSISSAUGA, TORONTO!!!! please everyone I need to start contacting them from now to book my appointment as I'll arrive around 32 weeks already angry and won't have much time to search for a good one by then!!!

Please send me some contacts for good/cheap cheesy OBGYN in Mississauga please and preferably emails so I can send them undecided

Also, does the cost differ from VD to C-Section in terms of the doctors fees? please give me an idea on doctors' cost as well cool

you can post here if ok as I saw some doctors names but in other cities. or send me on; ( eid dot khaled1985 at gmail dot com )

Many thanks in advance smiley wink
