SLIDEwaxie:You seem to have comprehension problem I guess. We have economy problem no doubt but why slashing their funding and created another called North East Development Commission to be funded from oil proceeds. You think they will be happy seeing you rebuilding North East caused by (alleged) attempt to make the country ungovernable for their son? Not my opinion but the feeling of the Ijaw people is that, Jonathan lost the election because of BH which was created by the Northerners themselves 2 Likes |

Did I hear them mentioned "Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.)"? He and his likes were the people that encourage Buhari to look for Niger Deltans trouble in the first place. They had a very evil plan but thank God it has backfired. |

Sometimes i am shocked with what people post..the Niger delta militancy started with MEND,NDVG n other bodies..the govt saw their agitation n gave them Amnesty n pipeline survelliance jobs n contracts to assauge their living conditions... So who are these Niger Delta Avengers are they not the same people? They collect monies monthly free of charge from govt. So i who is from the niger delta not being a militant i work monthly for my money while they receive money free n still yet they are still bombing pipelines using different group names to collect more money...The govt sh not go soft on these militants becos sooner or later they will pay the whole niger delta people salary for militancy..One of the conditions of the Avengers is building a maritime university in a land that is not for the Ijaws..the supreme court judgement declared them customary tenants to the Itsekiris ..now they want to thru violence n guns to take land not belonging to them by force...where do you now put rule of law in the society? Where violence can give you what you want without dialogue.. The society as we know it would slip into anarchy... The govt must be strong in their resolve if they are not willing to dialogue then war is the only option..mind you the Militants are ijaws not Urhobo, Isoko, edo,Itsekiri or Delta Ibo. |

We want our oil wells back. Danjuma from Taraba; IBB from Niger; OBJ from Ogun; Aabacha from Sokoto etc cannot come to Niger Delta and claim our oil wells. It is a terrible sin! 1 Like |

fred06:You guys sound so pathetic. This is why Nigeria is failing or has failed, none of you is asking your self about Buhari conduct. Buhari cut down the funding of the amnesty programme by 60% leaving thousands of Ijaw people(students) to gnash outside Nigeria only to set out over 100b for oil exploration in the north and billions of naira for NEDC from oil proceeds. cut down the funding of the East West road and set over 50b for Lagos Ibadan expressway, cancelled the only reasonable thing (Nigeria Maritime University) Jonathan did for them. 1 Like |

Thought the President Buhari thinks it is by might or power? These guys are really mean-just imagine how they compounded our already battered economy within a short time.He should never have made that "5% statement" & still be showing ill-mind towards them.Anyway, the earlier the better. |

Everything about this Buhari led govt is trial and error. They can't make a single correct forecast before implementation. But what do we expect when all his appointments are for compensation rather than merit. That's why the country is in shamble and d masses suffering 1 Like |

Tinubutoto:@Tinubutoto ...The corruption in Gej govt reached unpropotional levels checks n balances had to be done...how is blowing up pipelines avenge against the govt? You delibrately pollute the environment kill our fishes n crops n pollute the water and you say you are winning? I believe Ogoni should come to mind...only to do clean up for wat crude Oil did there would take up to ten years..we do not want another disaster in our community... Tell the avengers to carry their pipeline blowing to Ijaw areas so only their land n water can be polluted...you Ijaws attacked Aladja an Urhobo community in warri delta state yesterday burning houses n killing women n children and you turn tomorrow to say you are fighting for the whole niger delta? It is laughable..The ijaws sh fight for their own leaving other tribes in the region out of their mess...you talk about Nigerian Maritime University where Tompolo collected billions of naria for the land of the University when the same land is not for them...tell him to come out of hiding n face the charges against him if he is innocent. |

Nature129: Even with its vast amount of oil wealth even Saudi Arabia or iraq are not the envy of the world. Let the truth be told this Devil Excreta called crude oil has the tendency to make a nation and its citizen lazy and docile. I once had an interesting conversation with a manager in an oil company as to how google was more valuable than Exxon Mobil, the manager could not understand how a software company could be richer than the almighty Mobil... The world is moving on to alternative energies, in a few more years petrol and diesel cars would be a thing of the past in Europe and USA. The real wealth which is sustainable lies in the ideas that the citizens of a nations can generate... The secret of Israel greatness lies in the understanding that "Ideas rule the world". Oil has made us lazy and it falls within one of the 7 deadly sins that Ghandi warned us of "Wealth without Work is a sin"... Oil money is thus wealth without work.... I will rather work and be wealthy than to be lazy and be wealthy. God Bless Nigeria! 3 Likes 1 Share |
