I don't know... I attend church just coz I don't want anybody asking me why I don't.

I noticed something today at Mass tho... That's what you Catholics call it, right?
Just after the bible readings, the priest was about to start preaching when he felt like putting the congregation in the mood of worship, he started singing. He sang a song with some kinda Igbo melody and one by one, people stood up. The songs started getting faster and the choir was so good, singing to God with sweet sweet melodies but the congregation, what did they do? The just stood and clapped!!!
Really?
The thing come be like say them force them stand up, force them clap, force them sing the song but the force button no gree make them dance.
I wanted to laugh but then, it's not my business

To start with I am going to marry a strong Catholic by the special grace of God. But if I find myself in such situation, I will ask God for help to go about it but I can't go anywhere else, we would rather reach a compromise, a man can't force me to be where I don't want to be. it's not something that has to do with the church, it's something that has to do with each individuals, I am quite sure some people in that particular church would have danced but you didn't notice because you were busy with those who weren't dancing. Some people don't know how to dance while some feel they are too big to dance and some are just indifferent about it while some of us can dance fire so it boils down to you and your personality and not the church as a whole. Dem dey dance for my church oooo, no try dem oooooo

The church I attend has opened my eyes to know that after all said and done, my body is the temple of the Lord and I must keep it holy, the routine coming to church is nothing other than human activity. The church made me to understand that God is a spirit and to commune with HIM you must be in the spirit, you must seclude yourself to a quiet lonely place where you can listen and hear HIM speak and not in the cacophony of noise and blaring speakers.

So coming to the church is only to hear testimonies and motivational speeches the real communication with God is a personal exercise.

For the first in a long while, I found a church that calls a sin a sin, a church that separates wordliness from christ, liberating souls from the captivity of the evil one, the praise and worshipp is second to none.

Even in 2008 I vowed not to step my foot to the church.
But since 2011....... I had been heavily transformed

Because I am well trained in Christ and its one of the best I have been to so far.

I don't like commenting on threads like this, cos I hate faith-based wars and arguments. If u be catholic? good for u, anglican? good for u, rccg? Good for u, any oda denomination? Good for u. What's important is we shld all strive to live a righteous life and abide by de greatest commandment of all which is Love.
