The first members of the nights watch you're referring to weren't nights watch! They were warriors and heroes of the first men across westeros. The nights watch only came into existence officially after the wall was built and they were commissioned

Wrong. During the Long Night, those men that rose to drive the others back North, called themselves the Night's Watch, the Wall was built afterwards, and became garrisoned by them. It works for the show as well.

Euron takes your rational ambition, your reason, eats it, shits it out and feeds it to his own bastard sons, whose tongues he’s ripped out. Euron eats his own kind because that is the kind of thing that makes him laugh.

Then he pumps you full of LSD, ties you up, flays his girlfriend alive in front of your face, demands that you bow down and worship him and calls forth Deep Ones from the bottom of the sea to take over the universe.
