flamingREED:
I've never seen a people so unfortunate as the Jws, so deprived of the truth via the New World Translation.

How can they escape the captivity of sin and the eternal fire?

They're so endangered as a devout Muslim with a Quran.
Who denies that Jesus died and so cuts himself off from the only cleansing flood?

How can they set their foot on God's spotless golden streets?

Approved of the devil as the pope of Rome and his children who pad their religion with non-Bible-backed observances;
So are Jws,

How can these escape to share in the plagues Jehovah adds to those who add to His words?

These shall all go to the place of everlasting torment.

And Pentecostals too who know so much Bible truths and glory in Christ's saving power but never humble themselves to obey God,

These shall be denied by Jesus our Lord
For they omitted the weightier matter of our faith,
'seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness..'
You serve a wicked god homie, for you to be this scared.

I can never attend Jehovah's witness,Eckankar,Seven day adventist or white garment churches. From all I mentioned above, the worse hypocrites still remain Jehovah's witnesses!
How can a normal human being not celebrate their birthdays or donate blood to save a dying soul? All in the name of some religion which obviously isn't Christianity! Explains why they have a completely different version of the bible.
They don't even marry outside their denomination so if you are dating one and you aren't ready to be a JW better move on! undecided

That's really nice, but by your opinion, where and what is the best form of worship and how far do you think you can go to convince over 8 million Witnesses earth wide? As you speak, others keep seeing the organization as the truth. If it were just an African thing I would have agreed with you, but I don't think you know to what extent the organization has grown. I would advice you put more effort to your good work before the end comes so you and Paul Grundy can save as much people as possible.
Not to mock you in anyway, am only knowing of this Paul Grundy through you, and I think this man is either really slow or not effective enough in the God given assignment.

Attitude of other NL JW diehards have even changed without them knowing. I'm currently studying with jws, and I've been blessed by some of their word impartation. but I still doubt their own gospel. imagine, they say; Jesus is a god i.e arch Angel Michael. all other religions will be annihilated apart from jws. a class of people are meant to go to heaven. another group will stay on earth. they are the only true Christians. etc. I love them all, plenty of my friends are witnesses. even though Christians have different opinions and views about the bible it doesn't mean we are apostates as they call us. peace.

I understand how you feel. However, the truth can be quite bitter. But it must be told to save lifes. Please take time to read the following. And you can also ask your witness Bible conductor for more info

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that their religion is the only right one?

The Bible does not agree with the modern view that there are many acceptable ways to worship God. Ephesians 4:5 says there is “one Lord, one faith.” Jesus stated: “Narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it. . . . Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.”—Matt. 7:13, 14, 21; see also 1 Corinthians 1:10.

Repeatedly the Scriptures refer to the body of true Christian teachings as “the truth,” and Christianity is spoken of as “the way of the truth.” (1 Tim. 3:15; 2 John 1; 2 Pet. 2:2) Because Jehovah’s Witnesses base all of their beliefs, their standards for conduct, and organizational procedures on the Bible, their faith in the Bible itself as God’s Word gives them the conviction that what they have is indeed the truth. So their position is not egotistical but demonstrates their confidence that the Bible is the right standard against which to measure one’s religion. They are not self-centered but are eager to share their beliefs with others.

Do not other religions also follow the Bible?
Many use it to some extent. But do they really teach and practice what it contains? Consider: (1) From most of their Bible translations they have removed the name of the true God thousands of times. (2) The Trinity doctrine, their concept of God himself, is borrowed from pagan sources and was developed in its present form centuries after Bible writing was completed. (3) Their belief in immortality of the human soul as the basis for continued life is not taken from the Bible; it has roots in ancient Babylon. (4) The theme of Jesus’ preaching was the Kingdom of God, and he sent his disciples out to talk personally to others about it; but the churches today seldom mention that Kingdom and their members are not doing the work of preaching “this good news of the kingdom.” (Matt. 24:14) (5) Jesus said that his true followers could be readily identified by their self-sacrificing love for one another. Is that true of the religions of Christendom when the nations go to war? (6) The Bible says that Christ’s disciples would be no part of the world, and it warns that whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God; but the churches of Christendom and their members are deeply involved in the political affairs of the nations. (Jas. 4:4) In view of such a record, can it honestly be said that they really adhere to the Bible?

peawizzy:

Jesus’ opposers accused him of making himself equal to God. (John 5:18; 10:30-33) However, Jesus never claimed to be on the same level as Almighty God. He said: “"The Father is greater than I am."”—John 14:28.

Jesus’ early followers did not view him as being equal to Almighty God. For example, the apostle Paul wrote that after Jesus was resurrected, God “"exalted him [Jesus] to a superior position."” Obviously, Paul did not believe that Jesus was Almighty God. Otherwise, how could God exalt Jesus to a superior position? —Philippians 2:9.

THAT question has to be considered when Bible translators handle the first verse of the Gospel of John. In the New World Translation, the verse is rendered: “In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.” (John 1:1) Some other translations render the last part of the verse to convey the thought that the Word was “divine,” or something similar. (A New Translation of the Bible, by James Moffatt; The New English Bible) Many translations, however, render the last part of John 1:1: “And the Word was God.”—The Holy Bible—New International Version; The Jerusalem Bible.

Greek grammar and the context strongly indicate that the New World Translation rendering is correct and that “the Word” should not be identified as the “God” referred to earlier in the verse. Nevertheless, the fact that the Greek language of the first century did not have an indefinite article (“a” or “an”) leaves the matter open to question in some minds. It is for this reason that a Bible translation in a language that was spoken in the earliest centuries of our Common Era is very interesting.

The language is the Sahidic dialect of Coptic. The Coptic language was spoken in Egypt in the centuries immediately following Jesus’ earthly ministry, and the Sahidic dialect was an early literary form of the language. Regarding the earliest Coptic translations of the Bible, The Anchor Bible Dictionary says: “Since the [Septuagint] and the [Christian Greek Scriptures] were being translated into Coptic during the 3d century C.E., the Coptic version is based on [Greek manuscripts] which are significantly older than the vast majority of extant witnesses.”

The Sahidic Coptic text is especially interesting for two reasons. First, as indicated above, it reflects an understanding of Scripture dating from before the fourth century, which was when the Trinity became official doctrine. Second, Coptic grammar is relatively close to English grammar in one important aspect. The earliest translations of the Christian Greek Scriptures were into Syriac, Latin, and Coptic. Syriac and Latin, like the Greek of those days, do not have an indefinite article. Coptic, however, does. Moreover, scholar Thomas O. Lambdin, in his work Introduction to Sahidic Coptic, says: “The use of the Coptic articles, both definite and indefinite, corresponds closely to the use of the articles in English.”

Hence, the Coptic translation supplies interesting evidence as to how John 1:1 would have been understood back then. What do we find? The Sahidic Coptic translation uses an indefinite article with the word “god” in the final part of John 1:1. Thus, when rendered into modern English, the translation reads: “And the Word was a god.” Evidently, those ancient translators realized that John’s words recorded at John 1:1 did not mean that Jesus was to be identified as Almighty God. The Word was a god, not Almighty God.

I did not say he is not only God, he was equal with God. The same essence of God.

Don't twist the Bible to suit your needs like ur translations.

The whole Bible points to this fact that Jesus is a God.

John 1:1 simply state God the father and Jesus are two separate beings. Jesus is the God of the old testament.

John 1:1 states Jesus is God the son and God the father. They re separate beings. Jesus is a Godkind, God the father is Godkind. The Godhead(what I like to call Godkind) is made up of the one we know as Jesus and God.

We seem to forget why Jesus was crucified by his people. The reason was blasphemy. Jesus is God simple and straightforward. If u like twist it again.

Jn 10:30 is one of the most clear statements that Jesus is God. Jesus literally, indisputably, and explicitly said “I am God” by saying “I and the Father are One”, meaning we are the same. In case some would say Jesus meant one as in ’we are together on the same mission’ or of ‘one heart’, the Jews understood Jesus as saying He is God. They literally tried to kill him, they said we will kill you because you “make yourself God.” (John 10:33). They understood this only to mean Jesus “makes himself God” not just another man. An alternate explanation cannot be given.

Jesus said I am not of this world, he isn't actually (he precedes creation)

Mr read your Bible don't twist your Bible

They are a good example of what Christianity is about.
The go around preaching the gospel to all nations.

They assure you that hard times will come and encourage to stand strong in faith unlike today's prosperity preachers.

They teach love.

They teach you to work hard instead depending on inexplicable miracles.

You hardly hear that a member of them molest an under aged kid.

They are united.

They make out time for the poor and needy.

They are not greedy.

What else is Christianity about?

I am not a witness but I study bible with 10s of them and they treat and respect me like a family.

Unlike what's obtainable in other religious organizations that see members of other denominations as unbelievers.a.My brother, please don't compare those invitation cards that my church and your church share to the books that the Jehovah witness share.

What's in our fliers? A theme, a programme, a venue, my pastor's selfie and a testimony that is most times false.

Bro, make we leave talk. I used to accept fliers because I write quotation of goods at the back but I have stopped since they started writing testimonies there.

Why invite me to your church program when you know that I am member of another church?

I see them as revenue generators for their respective churches.

Infact already started when I heard this so loud bang on the glass door, I wanted to ignore n hurry out but the bang grew louder, soooo annoying I begin wonder who I dey ff share house. I angrily rinsed my face and ran out to check: only for me to see this man almost peeping into the apartment and the lady behind him too. I asked yes, what do u want and immediately ; we are jws here to share.... I just vex, ddnt even wait for him to finish b4 I yelled: I was trying to bathe, funny I even rushed out with my towel to peep n discharge whoever it was that had come to supposedly cut short my time and the man still had the effrontery to say "sorry but we just need 5mins of ur time to share the word" chei, ishin gbaka, whatttt 5mins of my time to share the word with me when I'm not even dressed. I just told them, sorry I don't have 5mins and went back in.

Its simple. Because we base our worship, teachings and beliefs on the BIBLE, the only inspired word of God, and strive to adhere to its teachings

Not all other religions adhere to them. Actually, no other religion adhere to them.
And quantity of members is not a yardstick for measuring the right religion. Jesus stated: “Narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it. . . . Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.”—Matt. 7:13, 14, 21

The modern-day history of Jehovah’s Witnesses began with the forming of a group for Bible study in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., in the early 1870’s. At first they were known only as Bible Students, but in 1931 they adopted the Scriptural name Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Isa. 43:10-12) Our beliefs and practices are not new but are a restoration of first-century Christianity

Jesus is never God, Jesus was killed by humans and God resurrected Him from dead. So saying Jesus is God is equivalent to saying human had once killed God which is not true. As for your second point-there are many Bible translations like KJV, Goodnews, Revised Standard Version, Gideon, American Standard Version, Kingdom Interlinear, and New World Translation used by JW etc. There are almost the same content and context. So saying JW have their own separate Bible is a lie. I was once made to belief same till I compared their Bible with mine with verses I knew off hands which turn out to be same.
